• ImageView doesn't rescale Image to selected size

  I'm using a ImageView with a fixed size for adding an icon to a menu. In my application, I use it a lot of times, but on this ImageView the Layout Params seem to not work. Unlike the others ImageViews, in this case, I'm using a template directly, but I think that's not the problem. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <ImageView xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="1dp" android:layout_height="1dp" android:scaleType="fitCenter" android:src="@drawable/ic_menu_moreoverflow_normal_holo_dark" android:contentDescription="ICON" /> Its been used in code as follows. ImageView iview =(ImageView) View.inflate(context, R.layout.icon, null); Theoretically, It should resize automatically the image, however, the images continues with the original size, although the size was 1dp.   I am having some issues with Entity Framework in VS2010 The problem I'm getting is described very well here... http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/adonetefx/thread/cacf6a76-09a8-4c90-9502-d8b87c2f6bea It's basically happening when a Foreign key is pointed at the primary key of another table...but if I take off the StoreGeneratedPattern as "Identity", then it tries to insert a value into the identity field ** EDIT So, what it seems to be is that EF4 can't handle a null relationship when the primary key is set to StoreGeneratedPattern="Identity". If I create a FK pointing to this primary key, and make it nullable (effectively creating a 0...M relationship), then it throws this compilation error. Removing StoreGeneratedPattern="Identity" fixes the issue, but causes issues elseware It works if the foreign key is set to not nullable

  I have a form which contains a series of fields like: <input type="text" name="User[123]" value="Alice" /> <input type="text" name="User[456]" value="Bob" /> ... Where the index of the User array (123 and 456) are ID's associated with the value. I'm trying to update these values in the controller. My thinking is that a Dictionary that maps ID to name would work, but creating the action like: public void Save(Dictionary<string, string> user) { // ... } results in the user parameter being null. So, is passing a Dictionary possible? or, is there another method to achieve this?

  I am trying to add a flexnativemenu to my air application and I have some problems... When I set it in the windowApplication, I get null errors in child controls so I tried to set this.menu = myMainMenu (which is my flexnativemenu) in the creation complete event but the menu doesn't show up... I tried to show an alert message before setting the menu and the menu appeared in the application. Is there a method I can call to force the application to "redraw" itself in the creationComplete event??? Thanks!

Can this example be re-written for sockaddr ? sin_family becomes sa_family but what about sin_port and sin_addr ?   i want to deallocate a spriteClass from memory and remove it from the display list. when the spriteClass is instantiated, it creates some of it's own sprites with new tweens and tween events and add them as children. i understand that the tween events must be removed in order for the spritClass to become available for garbage collection, and only afterwards should i nullify the spriteClass, but should i also nullify and remove the spriteClass's sprite children and tweens as well, or does it not matter? essentially i'd like to know if by nullifying the spriteClass it automatically removes all of it's added children and new instantiations like tweens, sprites, rects, whatever, or am i responsible for removing them all and otherwise the spriteClass isn't truly null until i do so?

Sometimes im passing null (or an empty string) in that object index and it is telling me that it cant be converted properly to a DateTime (in this case). My question is what should I default this value to, or is there some way to have the DataTable ignore empty values.

  Hey Guys I am getting several errors only on IE8 running on my vista OS. On the other browsers (Chrome, FF, Safari) everything works fine. Not sure where to begin looking. • How do you add a row to a databound datagridview using the datagridview in the gui?

  Hi guys, I've bound a datagridview to a collection of objects. It's giving me a null reference exception when I try to add a new row to a collection (empty or otherwise) using the gui. More specifically, when there is a write event it does this. How can I override the behavior of the write event and manually add all of the columns contents to the object collection? I could disable the add new row feature and make an add button, but the built in datagridview row add looks so much more slick.

  I have managed to do pretty complex things on iPhone but I am always stuck with views, frames, bounds, and simple stuff that defies any logic and don't work as expected. I have a self.view in my code and it has a lot of subviews on it. At some point of the code, I need to reduce the frame vertically to a specific size and later put it back as before. Then I have this code: [UIView beginAnimations:nil context:NULL]; [UIView setAnimationDuration:1.5]; // frame is changing to a newHeight (other parameters are the same as before) self.view.frame = CGRectMake (0, 0, originalWidth, newHeight); [UIView commitAnimations]; The result is simply, nothing. The view continues as before. The same size, the same position. No change. Why this kind of thing happens? how to solve that?

Also I have to use joins because in some cases `history`.`part_id` may be NULL which obviously isn't a valid part id. How would I modify the query to do this?
