  • JAVA: Can't get context parameters in Filter

    Hello, I have a filter and parameters in web.xml web.xml is like this: <filter> <description> </description> <display-name>AllClassFilter</display-name> <filter-name>AllClassFilter</filter-name> <filter-class>com.datval.homework.AllClassFilter</filter-class> <init-param> <param-name>DB_URL</param-name> <param-value>jdbc:derby:C:/Users/admin/workspace/homework03/homework/databases/StudentsDB;create=true</param-value> </init-param> <init-param> <param-name>DB_DIALECT</param-name> <param-value>org.hibernate.dialect.DerbyDialect</param-value> </init-param> <init-param> <param-name>DB_DRIVER</param-name> <param-value>org.apache.derby.jdbc.EmbeddedDriver</param-value> </init-param> </filter> mapping is working well.     Hi, Usually I am a web developer so this is probably a very novice question. I recently made an app in VB2008, but I developed it in a huge reso (1920x1200). The person that will be using it still uses 800x600 reso. Is there any simple way I can resize the entire interface to fit any resolution? I didn't really think about it at all while I was making the program.

Within that app, I call to a WCF service, but my windows identity isn't passed up.     I'd like to pass data from one asp.net page to another. I've seen that using System.Web.Caching.Cache is a good way to accomplish this. I'm wondering if it's a good way to do it and also is there any cleanup or other things I need to keep in mind when you the Cache? I'm not passing very much, at most two integers. Thanks.

While redirecting user to custom error page, for e.g. 404, to tell that page wasn't found, the type of this redirect is 302. <error statusCode="404" redirect="/Utility/Error404.aspx" /> <error statusCode="400" redirect="/Utility/Error404.aspx" /> Is it possible to make this redirect 301 through Web.config?     I want to be able to download a page and all of its associated resources (images, style sheets, script files, etc) using Python. I am (somewhat) familiar with urllib2 and know how to download individual urls, but before I go and start hacking at BeautifulSoup + urllib2 I wanted to be sure that there wasn't already a Python equivalent to "wget --page-requisites http://www.google.com". Specifically I am interested in gathering statistical information about how long it takes to download an entire web page, including all resources. Thanks Mark

    I have a web application which needs to be called from firefox and safari. Several shortcuts will let the user edit stuff and do other actions. I already implemented my shortcuts and they work great in firefox but not in safari. I can't for example do anything on alt+return - its not getting catched. Is there an easy way to overwrite built-in shortcuts in safari? A way to make alt+return work with safari?

But when I try to visit that project through apache, it fails. You can see the error at http://djaffry.selfip.com:8080/ The exception: Exception Value: No module named Twingle.urls (the project is Twingle)
