• Parametrizing max value of a jQuery ui slider

    - by Gandalf StormCrow
    I'm trying to create this slider http://jqueryui.com/demos/slider/#rangemax Is it possible to parametrize the max value? For ex: $("#slider-range-max").slider({ range: "max", min: 1, max: maxValue, value: 2, slide: function(event, ui) { $("#amount").val(ui.value); } }); Is it possible to pass maxValue value, when I click on something? After its been initialized? Not on document ready function, but even after that?

  • Java mouse motion anywhere on screen

    - by Dave
    I'm sure this is possible but all my searching is coming up blank. In Java is it possible to register for a mouse motion event outside of a Java app? So if the mouse pointer moves anywhere on the screen I get a call back. An approximation is possible with polling MouseInfo.getPointerInfo but there must be a better way. Thanks

  • Where to keep a querystring parameter in session ?

    - by hoang
    Users will get to my site using a specific parameter, e.g. : http://www.mysite.com/whatever/?keepTrackOfThisValue=foo or http://www.mysite.com/who/cares/?keepTrackOfThisValue=bar I would like to store the value of this peculiar parameter in Session everytime I found it in the QueryString. I'm currently using the Session_Start event in Global.asax in order to store this but I would like to override the value each time the parameter value change, which is not possible my way. Where would you do this ?

  • Check for repeating dates.

    - by kylex
    I am creating a calendar in PHP and in the database have a date, let's say 6-10-10. Sometimes I have repeating events, stored as weekly repeating, so if the date is 6-10-10, and I am repeating an event every two weeks from that day (including that day) what is the best way to find dates for every two weeks from 6-10-10? For example, let's say the date is 7-8-10, how can I check to see that date meets my criteria?

  • How to catch GMail auto-refresh

    - by nameanyone
    I wrote a userscript to highlight the current row in GMail (indicated by the arrow). Unfortunately the highlight will only stay until GMail Inbox is auto-refreshed, which happens quite often. Is there a way to catch that event so I could reapply the highlighting? I don't want to do it on timeout. There is another userscript that does that and it loads up CPU.

  • OnChange not firing in IE11

    - by bulletproof
    The date picker we use is created in a javascript library. It has a dropdown for the month and year and when these change it fires an onChange event to run a function that refreshes the dates displayed. Below is the function that creates the calendar. function makeCalendar(intWhatMonth,intWhatYear,bViewOnly) { if (bViewOnly) {intWhatMonth-=1;} var strOutput = ''; var intStartMonth=intWhatMonth; var intStartYear=intWhatYear; var intLoop; var strTemp=''; var strDateColWidth; dteCur.setMonth(intWhatMonth); dteCur.setFullYear(intWhatYear); dteCur.setDate(dteToday.getDate()); dteCur.setHours(0);dteCur.setMinutes(0);dteCur.setSeconds(0);dteCur.setMilliseconds(0); if (!(bViewOnly)) { strTemp=''; } // special case for form not to be inside table in Netscape 6 if (scNN6) { strOutput += strTemp +'

'; } else { strOutput += '
'+strTemp+'
'; } if (!(bViewOnly)) { strOutput += '
  < '; for (intLoop=0; intLoop<12; intLoop++) { if (intLoop == intWhatMonth) strOutput += '' + msNames[intLoop] + ''; else strOutput += '' + msNames[intLoop] + ''; } strOutput += ''; for (intLoop=this.minYearChoice; intLoop<this.maxYearChoice; intLoop++) { if (intLoop == intWhatYear) strOutput += '' + intLoop + ''; else strOutput += '' + intLoop + ''; } strOutput += ' >

'; } else { strOutput += '
'+msNames[intWhatMonth]+'-'+intWhatYear+'

'; } firstDay = new Date(intWhatYear,intWhatMonth,1); startDay = firstDay.getDay(); if (((intWhatYear % 4 == 0) && (intWhatYear % 100 != 0)) || (intWhatYear % 400 == 0)) msDays[1] = 29; else msDays[1] = 28; strOutput += '

'; for (intLoop=0; intLoop<7; intLoop++) { if (intLoop==0 || intLoop==6) { strDateColWidth="15%" } else { strDateColWidth="14%" } strOutput += '
'+ msDOW[intLoop] +'
'; } strOutput += '

'; var intColumn = 0; var intLastMonth = intWhatMonth - 1; var intLastYear = intWhatYear; if (intLastMonth == -1) { intLastMonth = 11; intLastYear=intLastYear-1;} for (intLoop=0; intLoop<startDay; intLoop++, intColumn++) { strOutput += this.getDayLink(true,(msDays[intLastMonth]-startDay+intLoop+1),intLastMonth,intLastYear,bViewOnly); } for (intLoop=1; intLoop<=msDays[intWhatMonth]; intLoop++, intColumn++) { strOutput += this.getDayLink(false,intLoop,intWhatMonth,intWhatYear,bViewOnly); if (intColumn == 6) { strOutput += '

'; intColumn = -1; } } var intNextMonth = intWhatMonth+1; var intNextYear = intWhatYear; if (intNextMonth==12) { intNextMonth=0; intNextYear=intNextYear+1;} if (intColumn > 0) { for (intLoop=1; intColumn<7; intLoop++, intColumn++) { strOutput += this.getDayLink(true,intLoop,intNextMonth,intNextYear,bViewOnly); } strOutput += '

'; } else { strOutput = strOutput.substr(0,strOutput.length-4); // remove the
from the end if there's no last row strOutput += '

'; } if (scNN6) { strOutput += '
'; } else { strOutput += '
'; } dteCur.setDate(1); dteCur.setHours(0);dteCur.setMinutes(0);dteCur.setSeconds(0);dteCur.setMilliseconds(0); dteCur.setMonth(intStartMonth); dteCur.setFullYear(intStartYear); return strOutput; } this.makeCalendar=makeCalendar; We have recently upgraded to IE11 and it is not firing this event anymore. I've tested this in an earlier version of IE and also in Chrome and it works as expected. The functions called from the anchor tags are working as expected. Creating a dropdown with an onChange event in html works in IE11. Has anyone come across anything like this in IE11? I have checked the console and it is showing no errors.

  • When can there be many Waves in a context on Google Wave

    - by Alan
    In a Google Wave Robot, the event handler gets a Context object. One of the methods is GetWaves, that is documented as: """Returns the list of waves associated with this session.""" I am trying to understand when this would return more than one Wave. What are the situations where there is more than one Wave associated with the session/context?

  • jQuery mousemove performance

    - by Colby77
    Hi, When I bind a mousemove event to an element it is working smoothly with every browser except Internet Explorer. With IE the CPU usage is way too much and some associated things (eg. tooltip) are ugly. Is there any way I could rid of the performance problem? (yeah I know, don't use IE :))

  • Animating gradient displays line artifacts in ActionScript

    - by TheDarkIn1978
    i've programatically created a simple gradient (blue to red) sprite rect using my own basic class called GradientRect, but moving or animation the sprite exhibits line artifacts. when the sprite is rotating, it kind of resembles bad reception of an old television set. i'm almost certain the cause is because each line slice of the gradient is vector so there are gaps between the lines - this is visible when the sprite is zoomed in. var colorPickerRect:GradientRect = new GradientRect(200, 200, 0x0000FF, 0xFF0000); addChild(colorPickerRect); colorPickerRect.cacheAsBitmap = true; colorPickerRect.x = colorPickerRect.y = 100; colorPickerRect.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, rotate); function rotate(evt:Event):void { evt.target.rotation += 1; } ________________________ //CLASS PACKAGE package { import flash.display.CapsStyle; import flash.display.GradientType; import flash.display.LineScaleMode; import flash.display.Sprite; import flash.geom.Matrix; public class GradientRect extends Sprite { public function GradientRect(gradientRectWidth:Number, gradientRectHeight:Number, ...leftToRightColors) { init(gradientRectWidth, gradientRectHeight, leftToRightColors); } private function init(gradientRectWidth:Number, gradientRectHeight:Number, leftToRightColors:Array):void { var leftToRightAlphas:Array = new Array(); var leftToRightRatios:Array = new Array(); var leftToRightPartition:Number = 255 / (leftToRightColors.length - 1); var pixelColor:Number; var i:int; //Push arrays for (i = 0; i < leftToRightColors.length; i++) { leftToRightAlphas.push(1); leftToRightRatios.push(i * leftToRightPartition); } //Graphics matrix and lineStyle var leftToRightColorsMatrix:Matrix = new Matrix(); leftToRightColorsMatrix.createGradientBox(gradientRectWidth, 1); graphics.lineStyle(1, 0, 1, false, LineScaleMode.NONE, CapsStyle.NONE); for (i = 0; i < gradientRectWidth; i++) { graphics.lineGradientStyle(GradientType.LINEAR, leftToRightColors, leftToRightAlphas, leftToRightRatios, leftToRightColorsMatrix); graphics.moveTo(i, 0); graphics.lineTo(i, gradientRectHeight); } } } } how can i solve this problem?

  • Free country/city suggestion list/database

    - by Ilian Iliev
    I'm looking for something similar to facebook suggestion list with cities and countries. You can see what I'm exactly talking about when you try to create new event in facebook, click to add address, and then start typing in the City field. I prefer finding working suggestion tool in jQuery(with the date), but database with city/country will do the trick too. Thanks in advance, Ilian Iliew
