    Hi, I would like to write the following code in c#. a) small console application that simulates memory leak. b) small console application that would invoke the above application and release it right away simulating managing memory leak problem.. In other words the (b) application would continuously call and release application (a) to simulate how the "rebellious" memory leak application is being contained with out addressing the root cause which is application (a).     Let's say I have this list of asterisks, and I say it to print this way: list = ['* *', '*', '* * *', '* * * * *', '* * * * * *', '* * * *'] for i in list: print i So here, the output is: * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * But I want the output to be vertical, like this: * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Any tips on doing this? I've tried to conceptualize how to use things like list comprehension or for-loops for this, but haven't got it quite right.

  • Problem using FormView to insert.

    I have a formview control, and on the ItemCreated event, I am "priming" some of the fields with default values. However, when I try to use the formview to insert, before the ItemInserting event gets called, for some reason it calls ItemCreated first. That results in the fields being over-written with the default values right before the insert happens. How do I get it to not call the ItemCreated event before the ItemInserting event?

    Why is that when I search a row in my database, it ended up 0 results? In fact, there are rows that meet my search criterion when I view them manually, but the search button doesnt work as it is. Heres how you can see there are rows that have '0000-00-00 00:00:00' in them, but when I used the search feature, it ended up like this: take note that Im entering it in the right field which is 'AcctStopTime'.     I have created a project using the following maven webapp project in eclipse: When adding a package to the project (right click project - new - package), the package gets added as a folder (I added a package named core). It does not have the usual package icon: If I try to create a new class and select a package, there are no entries in the list box. I have tried creating packages in a normal eclipse dynamic web project and these work correctly. How do I get packages in Maven enabled webapp projects?

    Is there an easy method to restore a minimized form to its previous state, either Normal or Maximized? I'm expecting the same functionality as clicking the taskbar (or right-clicking and choosing restore). So far, I have this, but if the form was previously maximized, it still comes back as a normal window. if (docView.WindowState == FormWindowState.Minimized) docView.WindowState = FormWindowState.Normal; Do I have to handle the state change in the form to remember the previous state?

    I am working on Silverlight 3.0 and currently using code-behind in my Views. I would like to implement the MV(VM) pattern into my project as the project is growing. I have seen some WPF projects where the code-behind has NO CODE except for the InitializeComponent method, which I believe is the right way to go and just looks clean. Is this possible in Silverlight 3.0, that is, no code-behind? Can anyone point me to some good Silverlight (3.0) MV(VM) tutorials / articles?
