  • php joomla session lifetime settings

    - by jtanmay
I have searched through the google and also joomla forums but didn't got what exactly I was looking for. My main purpose is to set the joomla session live for ever. Many forums says its not good to keep a higher value (security issues) but I don't want to consider that right now. My question is : What if I set the session lifetime value to "0" (Zero), will the session be active for ever? or the user will NOT be able to login completely? Thanks, Tanmay

  • CSS Not Centering Container

    - by user269799
I have a container div. Width: 80%, margin-left: 10% and margin-right 10%. The problem is, the container is displaying to the left in all the browsers I check. If I change the value of margin-left to 20%, it looks ok. I will supply code if necessary but is there anything obviously wrong here? Isn't 80 with a margin of 10 on each side correct to center a div? GF

  • PHP Simplify a ternary operation

    - by Obay
In PHP, is there a way to simplify this even more, without using an if()? $foo = $bar!==0 ? $foo : ''; I was wondering if there was a way to not reassign $foo to itself if the condition is satisfied. I understand there is a way to do this in Javascript (using &&, right?), but was wondering if there was a way to do this in PHP.

  • Finding C#-style unescaped strings using regular expressions

    - by possan
I'm trying to write a regular expression that finds C#-style unescaped strings, such as string x = @"hello world"; The problem I'm having is how to write a rule that handles double quotes within the string correctly, like in this example string x = @"before quote ""junk"" after quote"; This should be an easy one, right?

  • Do you employ any tools for managing technical debt?

    - by Phil.Wheeler
The site I work with on a day-to-day basis has its share of shortcomings and we often make design decisions to "get us by right now" with the intention of fixing those up later. I've found that making the time to actually go back and fix them, let alone remembering what the full list of to-do items is can be challenging at best. Can you recommend any tools, resources or tricks that help you effectively manage your technical debt?

how can I get user_version into an expression (for SELECT or WHERE) ? I would also appreciate any clue to how to save ANY global variable in SQLite. Does anyone know of such an extension (dll) ? BTW: I know that PRAGMA user_version; gives me the right answer, but I cannot use that inside a WHERE-clause !

  • Overwriting dlls in MEF.

    - by Jeffrey Lott
Right now, I'm trying to separate out a set of constantly changing classes into their own dll and dynamically load them using MEF. My problem is that whenever I try and overwrite the dll while the app is running, it says it's in use. Is there anyway to configure MEF to let me overwrite the dll and pick up the changes while the app is still running?

  • Update working on target repo when changes are pushed to it

    - by Francis
I'm implementing GIT for web developemnt, and I want to have the working copy repository that everybody pushes to automatically reflect the latest commit in it (since it is online for everyone on the team to see as a testing site). Right now, you have to run "git reset --hard HEAD" on the repository after somebody pushes to it in order to be up to date.

  • Using NetBeans for multiple programming languages

    - by mawg
I am looking for a cross platform RAD IDE with GUI building. NetBeans looks right (or am aI wrong?). However, I may want to code somethings in C++ and some in Python. It looks like both are supported, but I am not sure if I need to install two copies of NetBeans or if one can handle both programming languages. Sorry it's such a st00pid n00b question - can anyone tell me quickly? Thanks

  • Facebook Connect: Redirect to FB login page instead of popup

    - by AyKarsi
I'm just starting of to get Facebook connect to work. One thing that really bugs me, is that when I click the FB login button, it opens up a popup. I would much more prefer to have the user redirected to FB, where he can login and be sent back to my site. (Just like openid login works here at SO) I can't find anything in the docs, although I have the feeling I'm not looking in the right place: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/javascript/fb.api/

  • [[alloc] init] as a factory method

    - by iter
I want to initialize an instance of one of the subclasses of a superclass depending on the arguments to init: [[Vehicle alloc] initWithItinerary: shortWay]; // returns a bicycle [[Vehicle alloc] initWithItinerary: longWay]; // returns a car I can't find examples of code like this. I wonder if this is not idiomatic in Objective C, or I simply am not looking in the right places.

  • SQL Server 2008 2mb Limit for XML??

    - by Nai
I am trying to output a long XML result from SMSS. When I right click on the results and 'save results as...', I can only get a 2mb file? I have changed the settings in SMSS via Tools - Options - Query Results - SQL Server - Results to Grid, for XML data to be unlimited. Forever, it still seems to be truncating my XML results? So, how can I bypass this problem and output my XML result to a file? Thanks

  • How to plot image data in PERL on Windows?

    - by angaran
I would like to plot some image binary data on a grayscale matrix-like graph with custom values on axes. I'm using Perl on a Windows machine but I can't fine the right module to do this. I'm already using GD::Graph to plot other type of data but it seems unsuitable for this specific task.

  • How to use Devicemotion/Gyroscope to move a dot from center to 8 directions of iphone screen

    - by iSeeker
    I am trying to move a dot at center to 8 directions of iphone screen using Devicemotion such that it moves faster when tilted at a faster rate. Rough sketch is below: I could find a similar implementation in an app called Gyrododge in appstore, i cant figure out how to make it work... Update: This is what i have done so far, but the response is not smooth, and is very jittery.. xdiff and ydiff are the change of device attitude in x and y directions, derived from quatenion implementation. if (currDeviceMotion.rotationRate.x < -2) { NSLog(@"To Top"); if (195+800*ydiff >=193 && 195+800*ydiff <= 197) { [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150, 195, 20, 20)]; }else{ if (195+800*ydiff >=390 ) { [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150, 390, 20, 20)]; }else if (195+800*ydiff <= 0){ [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150, 0, 20, 20)]; }else if(195+800*ydiff < 194){ [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150, 195+800*ydiff, 20, 20)]; }else if(195+800*ydiff > 196){ [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150, 195+800*ydiff, 20, 20)]; } } }else if (currDeviceMotion.rotationRate.x > 2){ NSLog(@"To Bottom"); if (195+800*ydiff >=193 && 195+800*ydiff <= 197) { [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150, 195, 20, 20)]; }else{ if (195+800*ydiff >=390 ) { [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150, 390, 20, 20)]; }else if (195+800*ydiff <= 0){ [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150, 0, 20, 20)]; }else if(195+800*ydiff < 194){ [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150, 195+800*ydiff, 20, 20)]; }else if(195+800*ydiff > 196){ [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150, 195+800*ydiff, 20, 20)]; } } }else if (currDeviceMotion.rotationRate.y < -2){ NSLog(@"To Left"); if (150+500*xdiff >= 148 && 150+500*xdiff <=152) { [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150, 195, 20, 20)]; }else{ if (150+500*xdiff >= 300 ) { [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(300, 195, 20, 20)]; }else if (150+500*xdiff <= 0){ [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(0, 195, 20, 20)]; }else if(150+500*xdiff < 148){ [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150+500*xdiff, 195, 20, 20)]; }else if(150+500*xdiff > 152){ [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150+500*xdiff, 195, 20, 20)]; } } }else if (currDeviceMotion.rotationRate.y > 2){ NSLog(@"To Right"); if (150+500*xdiff >= 148 && 150+500*xdiff <=152) { [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150, 195, 20, 20)]; }else{ if (150+500*xdiff >= 300 ) { [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(300, 195, 20, 20)]; }else if (150+500*xdiff <= 0){ [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(0, 195, 20, 20)]; }else if(150+500*xdiff < 148){ [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150+500*xdiff, 195, 20, 20)]; }else if(150+500*xdiff > 152){ [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150+500*xdiff, 195, 20, 20)]; } } }else if (currDeviceMotion.rotationRate.x < -0.20 && currDeviceMotion.rotationRate.y > 0.20 ){ NSLog(@"To Diagonal Right Top"); if (150+650*xdiff >= 148 && 150+650*xdiff <=152) { [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150, 195, 20, 20)]; }else{ if (150+650*xdiff >= 300 ) { [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(300, 0, 20, 20)]; }else if(150+650*xdiff > 152){ [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150+650*xdiff, 195-1.3*650*xdiff, 20, 20)]; } } }else if (currDeviceMotion.rotationRate.x > 0.20 && currDeviceMotion.rotationRate.y < -0.20 ){ NSLog(@"To Diagonal Left Bottom"); if (150+650*xdiff >= 148 && 150+650*xdiff <=152) { [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150, 195, 20, 20)]; }else{ if (150+650*xdiff <= 0 ) { [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(0, 390, 20, 20)]; }else if(150+650*xdiff < 148){ [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150+650*xdiff, 195-1.3*650*xdiff, 20, 20)]; } } }else if (currDeviceMotion.rotationRate.x < -0.20 && currDeviceMotion.rotationRate.y < -0.20 ){ NSLog(@"To Diagonal Left Top and xdiff is %f",xdiff); if (150+650*xdiff >= 148 && 150+650*xdiff <=152) { [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150, 195, 20, 20)]; }else{ if (150+650*xdiff <= 0 ) { [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(0, 0, 20, 20)]; }else if(150+650*xdiff < 148){ [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150+650*xdiff, 195+1.3*650*xdiff, 20, 20)]; } } }else if (currDeviceMotion.rotationRate.x > 0.20 && currDeviceMotion.rotationRate.y > 0.20 ){ NSLog(@"To Diagonal Right Bottom"); if (150+650*xdiff >= 148 && 150+650*xdiff <=152) { [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150, 195, 20, 20)]; }else{ if (150+650*xdiff >= 300 ) { [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(300, 390, 20, 20)]; }else if(150+650*xdiff > 152){ [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150+650*xdiff, 195+1.3*650*xdiff, 20, 20)]; } } }else if((currDeviceMotion.rotationRate.x < 0.20 && currDeviceMotion.rotationRate.x < -0.20) ||(currDeviceMotion.rotationRate.y < 0.20 && currDeviceMotion.rotationRate.y < -0.20) ||(currDeviceMotion.rotationRate.z < 0.20 && currDeviceMotion.rotationRate.z < -0.20)){ [self.rollDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150, 195, 20, 20)]; [self.pitchDot setFrame:CGRectMake(150, 195, 20, 20)]; } It could be great if i could make it move like the application i have stated above, called Gyrododge This link also addresses a similar question:Link.
