  • How to document class attributes with NaturalDocs

    - by HWende
Via """ Function: myfunc Parameters: a : First parameter b : First parameter """ I can document a function and it gets listed in the class summary. How can I do something similar with attributes? Since I don't declare them in python I was hoping something like """ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Attributes: first - First attribute of the class second - Second one """ That is not working at all...

  • What happens when I throw an exception?

    - by helloWorld
I have some technical questions. In this function: string report() const { if(list.begin() == list.end()){ throw "not good"; } //do something } If I throw the exception what is going on with the program? Will my function terminate or will it run further? If it terminates, what value will it return?

    - by Tom Bell
I'm trying to add a button onclick event to a button tag when I load my Fancybox popup using the following code: var processOrder = function(id) { $('#processPopupLink').fancybox({ 'hideOnContentClick': false, 'frameWidth': 850, 'frameHeight': 695 }).click(); $('#processComplete').click(function() { alert('debug'); }); } However, it's not showing the message box when I click the button, I have no idea why it is not working, any help would be appreciated.

  • Is there an easily available implementation of erf() for Python?

    - by rog
I can implement the error function, erf, myself, but I'd prefer not to. Is there a python package with no external dependencies that contains an implementation of this function? I have found http://pylab.sourceforge.net/packages/included_functions.htmlthis but this seems to be part of some much larger package (and it's not even clear which one!). I'm sorry if this is a naive question - I'm totally new to Python.

  • How to compare strings ignoring case (C++)?

    - by zebraman
I am aware there is a function strcasecmp() that compares cstrings ignoring case, but I was wondering if there is a function that does the same thing except with strings? I am working with a bunch of strings, and feel like it would be terribly inefficient to have to use c_str() each time I want to compare them with strcasecmp(). Should I just use cstrings instead of strings...?

  • Are PHP5 objects passed by reference?

    - by morpheous
I cant seem to get any consistent info on this. Different sources appear to say different things and trhe venerable php.net iteslf (appears) not to explicitly state this - although I must admit, I only had a quick look. In cases where I am passing around 'heavy' objects, I need to pass by reference, but I dont want to keep typing: function foo(TypeName& $obj) if I can get away with simply, function foo(TypeName $obj) So what does the standard say?

  • j query validation plugin for two fields

    - by jonathan p
I am using the Jquery Validation plug-in, however i need to add a "custom rule", i have 2 date fields and i need to ensure that the end date is not less than the start date. My problem is how to pass the two fields in as elements. As i understand u set up a custom function something like this : function customValidationMethod(value, element, params){ } But can't see how i could use it with two fields, if anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

  • standard c library for escaping a string.

    - by rampion
Is there a standard C library function to escape C-strings? For example, if I had the C string: char example[] = "first line\nsecond line: \"inner quotes\""; And I wanted to print "first line\nsecond line: \"inner quotes\"" Is there a library function that will do that transformation for me? Rolling my own just seems a little silly. Bonus points if I can give it a length to escape (so it stops before or beyond the \0).

  • JQuery within a partial view not being called

    - by XN16
I have a view that has some jQuery to load a partial view (via a button click) into a div in the view. This works without a problem. However within the partial view I have a very similar bit of jQuery that will load another partial view into a div in the first partial view, but this isn't working, it almost seems like the jQuery in the first partial view isn't being loaded. I have tried searching for solutions, but I haven't managed to find an answer. I have also re-created the jQuery function in a @Ajax.ActionLink which works fine, however I am trying to avoid the Microsoft helpers as I am trying to learn jQuery. Here is the first partial view which contains the jQuery that doesn't seem to work, it also contains the @Ajax.ActionLink that does work: @model MyProject.ViewModels.AddressIndexViewModel <script> $(".viewContacts").click(function () { $.ajax({ url: '@Url.Action("CustomerAddressContacts", "Customer")', type: 'POST', data: { addressID: $(this).attr('data-addressid') }, cache: false, success: function (result) { $("#customerAddressContactsPartial-" + $(this).attr('data-addressid')) .html(result); }, error: function () { alert("error"); } }); return false; }); </script> <table class="customers" style="width: 100%"> <tr> <th style="width: 25%"> Name </th> <th style="width: 25%"> Actions </th> </tr> </table> @foreach (Address item in Model.Addresses) { <table style="width: 100%; border-top: none"> <tr id="[email protected]"> <td style="width: 25%; border-top: none"> @Html.DisplayFor(modelItem => item.Name) </td> <td style="width: 25%; border-top: none"> <a href="#" class="viewContacts standardbutton" data-addressid="@item.AddressID">ContactsJQ</a> @Ajax.ActionLink("Contacts", "CustomerAddressContacts", "Customer", new { addressID = item.AddressID }, new AjaxOptions { UpdateTargetId = "customerAddressContactsPartial-" + @item.AddressID, HttpMethod = "POST" }, new { @class = "standardbutton"}) </td> </tr> </table> <div id="[email protected]"></div> } If someone could explain what I am doing wrong here and how to fix it then I would be very grateful. Thanks very much.

  • How can I define a method with multiple optional arguments in Obj-C

    - by The Dark Bug Returns
I want to be able to update two sets of identical buttons with one function. Also I don't want to update all the buttons, only some of them. Can I have a function like this?: -(void) updateFields{ updateButton1 : (Bool) x updateButton2 : (Bool) y updateButton3 : (Bool) z } The implementation will look like this: [button1_1 setEnabled:x]; [button1_2 setEnabled:x]; //called only if updateButton1 is given an argument [button2_1 setEnabled:y]; etc...

  • How do you solve this Haskell problem?

    - by Linda Cohen
I want to define a function replicate to replicate a list of numbers by its value using only list comprehension, for example: replicate [5,1,3,2,8,1,2] output: [5,5,5,5,5,1,3,3,3,2,2,8,8,8,8,8,8,8,8,1,2,2] I know this would be easy to use the 'replicate' built in function but only list comprehension is allow, how can I do this? THANKS!

  • Is there an alternative to die?

    - by TJDeatwiler
Sorry for the dramatic sounding title, just wanted to know if there is a way to prevent all types of PHP commands from executing EXCEPT one. For example, now when I kill a script using die() my pages look half broken because the bottom part of the page's html failed to load since it was being brought in using the include() function. So is there a way to tell PHP "don't allow any more commands to be executed except the include function" ?

  • Disable errors in PHP

    - by spacemonkey
How to disable errors just for particular php function, and in the same time to know that the error occurred? For instance, I use a php function parse_url, to parse an array of urls, sometimes it returns an error, what I want to do is to parse next url once error occurs, and not to show it(error) on the screen.

  • Difference between macros and functions in C in relation to instruction memory and speed

    - by DAHANS
To my understanding the difference between a macro and a function is, that a macro-call will be replaced by the instruction in the definition, and a function does the whole push, branch and pop -thing. Is this right, or have I understand something wrong? Additionally, if this is right, it would mean, that macros would take more space, but would be faster (because of the lack of the push, branch and pop instructions.), wouldn't it?
