  • Jenkins CI fails to initialise

    I've just installed Jenkins-CI on Ubuntu 11.10 as according to the instructions found here, However the service fails to start. The error log shows this: Running from: /usr/share/jenkins/jenkins.war 10 Jun 2012 16:24:06 winstone.Logger logInternal INFO: Beginning extraction from war file 10 Jun 2012 16:24:10 hudson.WebAppMain contextInitialized SEVERE: Failed to initialize Jenkins java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError The entire error log can be found on this pastebin I've tried looking for similar errors but I can't find anything. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    I am trying to host multiple webapps under tomcat 6 behind apache2 via mod_jk.   • SharePoint MySite - Purge newsfeed activity?

    After setting up User Profile sync with AD I've noticed that the newsfeed section of each user's MySite is now flooded with lots of random notes detailing changes that have been pulled in about their (and their contacts') profiles. Is there anyway to purge this activity and stop updates from the sync service getting listed on the newsfeed? Our users are likely to find it strange getting updates about changes to their own profiles that they didn't make themselves.

    I am looking for a dead simple dashboard for Nagios so our IT team can view the status of our services. In an old version of what's up gold, it was a nice dashboard with different rectangular shape being red, yellow or green depending on the status of the service and could be display easily on a screen. Is there some copycat dashboard for nagios ? any better recommendation ? I want something you can see from your desk 15meters away: red or green, no need for details.

    I need to implement a 'stop list' to prevent users selecting common passwords in a new online service. Can anyone point me to such a list online anywhere? Edited: Note that I'm only trying to eliminate the most common passwords, not an exhaustive dictionary.   • Oracle sysman password reset and enterprise manager

    We are running oracle 10g.yesterday we had to reset sysman(and all other sys acounts)user with alter user command. Password change command worked by oracle enterprise manager does not see the database running. As per oracle docs,we did change the password(and encryption setting) and restarted the dbconsole service. Password does get encrypted after restarted but em still does not see the database online. Are we missing any other important step? Thanks Aboxy

    Hey, Is anyone running Zend Server under Daemontools? I know I can use -D NO_DETACH to run apache under daemontools. But, I'm not sure if the other Zend Server components (monitor, lighthttpd, scd, jobqueue) have similar options. (The end goal is "run Zend Server with service supervision", so upstart would be fine too. For reference, my servers are running Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.) Ben

After tracking it down through code, we have the correct CurrentCulture set up to "en-GB" but the CurrentUICulture is still "en-US". Obviously we don't have something set correctly.     When i type some Url say www.google.com in IE (installed and tested with IE 6.0/7.0/8.0) at first attempt it does not recognize that URL when i type it second time.It goes to the page. But when i test it in other browsers like firefox ,Chrome without problem it is working. I scanned my system with Norton and Kasper sky,they do not complaint about any virus.I am using Windows XP Service pack 2. Does my system get affected with something say doubleclick virus?

    I have several shares on my Win7 machine. I need them to disappear from the network (and stay gone across reboots), without my having to actually remove the shares (because they need to re-appear in a week). Is there something I can disable/stop on my machine (I'm thinking a service?) that will get this done? There are no network shares I need to keep available to the network (during this time).
