• Why thread started by ScheduledExecutorService.schedule() never quits?

    - by moonese
    If I create a scheduled task by calling ScheduledExecutorService.schedule(), it never quits after execution, is it a JDK bug, or I just miss something? note: doSomething() is empty method below. public static void doSomething() { } public static void main(String[] args) { ScheduledFuture scheduleFuture = Executors.newSingleThreadScheduledExecutor().schedule(new Callable() { public Void call() { try { doSomething(); } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } return null; } }, 1, TimeUnit.SECONDS); }

    - by Mark Roberts
    I'm trying to represent the port number 9876 (or 0x2694 in hex) in a two byte array: class foo { public static void main (String args[]) { byte[] sendData = new byte[1]; sendData[0] = 0x26; sendData[1] = 0x94; } } But I get a warning about possible loss of precision: foo.java:5: possible loss of precision found : int required: byte sendData[1] = 0x94; ^ 1 error How can I represent the number 9876 in a two byte array without losing precision?

  • how can a __global__ function RETURN a value or BREAK out like C/C++ does

    - by user1684726
    Recently i've been doing string comparing jobs on CUDA, and i wonder how can a global function return a value when it finds the exact string that i'm looking for. I mean, i need the global function which contains a great amout of threads to find a certain string among a big big string-pool simultaneously, and i hope that once the exact string is caught, the global funtion can stop all the threads and return back to the main funtion, and tells me "he did it"! B.T.W., I'm using CUDA C .How could i possibly achieve that, waiting for help.

    - by Ankur

Am I doing something really stupid, or is there a good reason for this

  • Highlighting the current page in rails, only works for some pages

    - by raphael_turtle
    I've used this tutorial to highlight the current page in the menu. I have a pages controller with a few static pages, for the home page I simply have def home @title = 'Home and similar for contact pages etc. Then in my main layout file I have <body class="<%= @title %>"> and this works fine to set the correct css, but how do I set @title for my other controllers where there's more than one action?

    I've got a project that I'm using Doxygen to generate documentation to. The documentation of the classes is fine, but I've also got some functions that I use in main() to create objects etc. I'd also like to have these into my documentation, but I have not figured how to do that. Any suggestions?

  • Is objective C 2.0 a proper superset of C?

    - by RankWeis
    I've heard that objective-C is a proper superset of C, but is objective-C 2.0? The reason I ask is that either it isn't, or I misunderstand the phrase 'proper superset', because this code is valid C syntax: import int main () { char *nil = "hello"; printf("%s\n",nil); } But does not compile in Objective-C 2.0. Obviously, this is an easily fixable problem, but I'm writing a paper, and feel that this is something that should be pointed out.

  • Jquery load() loading more than I want...

    - by Probocop
    Hi, I am trying to load just the contents of a
into another
on the same page using a jquery function. But when the function triggers, it loads the entire
document into the specified
. Any idea why it would be doing this? My code is as follows: Jquery: function button1() { $('#sidebar-content').fadeOut(function() { $(this).load('#button1').fadeIn(); }); } function button2() { $('#sidebar-content').fadeOut(function() { $(this).load('#button2').fadeIn(); }); } HTML:

BRAND TRUTH

Brand Truth

What this basically means is our way of working, the process involved by both ourselves and our client.

When the truth wheel process is followed, the end result is so much stronger.

Button 2 Content

Some other content

Some other content x2

Replace Content Here!
