PHP array manipulation

I have the code below . it looks for the case and creates an array of rows and columns. $pv->results[$row1][1][0] actually is $pv->result->[rownumber][coulmnnumber][0]. Now this is for only 2 columns as you can see. However I want an array like $myArr = array(0=>1, 1=>7, 2=>8, 3=>9 ) to be added below for column. What it is doing, is adding 4 columns (0,1,2,3) into the code below. So now I will have 4 cases instead of 2 cases as I need to more columns. Also the case value will not be 1 and 2, it will be 1, 7, 8 and 9 respectively. How can I do that? I have a class to read and output the image content, if $width is set, it will resize the image, and then output it. If I call the function like this $image-readImage('123.jpg'); , it can output the image file correctly, but when I call $image-readImage('123.jpg'); , it just display a black image with resized width & height. security negotiation with the remote endpoint has failed. This may be due to absent or incorrectly specified EndpointIdentity in the EndpointAddress used to create the channel. Please verify the EndpointIdentity specified or implied by the EndpointAddress correctly identifies the remote endpoint. If I host the service on ASP .NET Dev server, it work well but if I host on IIS above mentioned error occurs. Thanks, Ram

How to create a HTML5 + SVG document using the PHP XSLTProcessor

For a little project about XML I try to use HTML5 as it has SVG and WAI-ARIA Support. I also want to use a XSL stylesheet for my document. But I can't get a valid HTML5 document with a nested SVG. Using header('Content-Type: image/xhtml+svg'); or header('Content-Type: text/html'); there is no XML parsing error, but the page will not show the SVG as a graph but as text (without the tags). Can anyone tell me how to avoid the meta tag to be inserted or how to set a propper Content-Type that will make the browser rendern the SVG. Or even any other hint to get this working. I would really like to keep HTML5 to be able to keep the WAI-ARIA Landmark Roles an the HTML5 tags like NAV and FOOTER.

PHP - Opening uploaded DOCX files with the correct MIME TYPE

I have users uploading DOCX files which I make available for download. The issues we have been experiencing is the unknown mime types of DOCX files which causes IE to open these docs as Zip files. It is running on a Windows/IIS server. Because this is a shared host, I cannot change any server settings. I was thinking that I could just write some code that would handle DOCX files, perhaps custom output: if (extension=docx) { header("Content-Disposition: attachment; etc) header('Content-Type: application/application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.wordprocessingml.document'); Output the file contents etc } Would this be a viable solution?? If so, can someone help fill in the gaps? (PS I know the above syntax is not correct, just a quick example)

Help securing files access with htaccess and php?

I'm working on a site that allows users to purchase digital content and have implemented a method that attempts to serve secure downloads. I'm using CodeIgniter to force downloads like this: $file = file_get_contents($path); force_download("my_file_name.zip", $file); Of course, I make sure the user has access to the file using a database before serving the download, but I was wondering if there was a way to make these files more secure. I'm using a some 8-10 letter keys to create the file paths so urls to the files aren't exactly easy to figure out... something like http://mysite.com/as67Hgr/asdo0980/uth89.zip in lieu of http://mysite.com/downloads/my_file.zip. Also, I'm using .htaccess to deny directory browsing like so: Options All -Indexes. Other than that... I have no idea what steps to take. I've seen articles suggesting username and password methods using .htaccess, but I don't understand how to bypass the password prompt that would occur using that method. I was hoping there might be a method where I could send a username and password combination using headers and cUrl (or something similar), but I wouldn't know where to start. Any help would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance!

MVC noob - changing part of URL in a link

Hi, I have a site that supports localization. I would like to be able to switch between english and french. Let say the user is currently at URL: http://www.mysite.com/en/Home I would like to redirect to: http://www.mysite.com/fr/Home If the user click on a "French" link how to change the URL part to "fr" yet not change the "Home" part of the URL (basically I want preserve the current location of the user) Hope my question makes sense! I'm probably missing something very basic?

PHP: BBCode with SQL selection?

I would like to code a bbcode with SQL selection. Basically I want the user to be able to input [user]Anotheruser[/user] in a text field, which then is converted in the front-end to an URL that looks like this: http://mydomain.com/user/[userid]/anotheruser. So in order to get the userid, I'd need to include an SQL selection, and additionally an if else to find out of the other user actually exists. Can I do this with a preg_replace as usually used for creating bbcode, or do I need to do something more complex?

Re-Convert timestamp DATE back to original format (when editing) PHP MySQL

Ok so I have managed to get the format of the date presented in HTML (upon display) to how I want (dd/mm/yyy)...However, the user also can change the date via a form. So this is how it's setup as present. Firstly, the conversion from YYYY-MM-DD to DD/MM/YYYY and then display in HTML: $timestamp = strtotime($duedate); echo date('d/m/Y', $timestamp); Now when the user selects to update the due date, the value already stored value is drawn up and presented in my text field (using exactly the same code as above).. All good so far. But when my user runs the update script (clicks submit), the new due date is not being stored, and in my DB its seen as '0000-00-00'. I know I need to convert it back to the correct format that MySQL wants to have it in, in order for it to be saved, but I'm not sure on how to do this. This is what I have so far in my update script (for the due date): $duedate = $_POST['duedate']; $timestamp = strtotime($duedate); date('Y/m/d', $timestamp); $query = "UPDATE films SET filmname= '".$filmname."', duedate= '".$duedate; Can somebody please point me in the right direction to have the new date, when processed, converted back to the accepted format by MySQL. BETWEEN startip AND endip'; which is equivalent to: SELECT country FROM worldip WHERE 3363174417 BETWEEN startip AND endip (benchmark: Showing rows 0 - 0 (1 total, Query took 0.2109 sec)) Now comes the real question. What if another bunch of argentinian guys also open the website and they all have these ip addresses: 200.117.248.17 200.117.233.10 200.117.241.88 200.117.159.24 Since i'm caching all the sql queries; instead of matching EACH of the ip queries in the database, would it be better (and right) just to match the 2 first sections of the ip by modifying the function like this? function ip_address_to_number($ip) { if(!$ip) { return false; } else { $ip = split('\.',$ip); return($ip[0]*16777216 + $ip[1]*65536); } } (notice that the 3rd and 4th splitted values of the IP have been removed). That way instead of querying these 4 values: 3363174417 3363170570 3363172696 3363151640 ...all i have to query is: 3363110912 (which is 200.117.0.0 converted to long). Is this right? any other ideas to optimize this process? Thanks!

Hello, I am trying to figure out how to convert an "external relative path" to an absolute one: I'd really like a function that will do the following: $path = "/search?q=query"; $host = "http://google.com"; $abspath = reltoabs($host, $path); And have $abspath equal to "http://google.com/search?q=query" The problem is that it is not guaranteed to be in that format, and it could already be absolute, or be pointing to a different host entirely, and I'm not quite sure how to approach this. How to persist a very abstract data type between sessions: PHP

I have an abstract data type that behaves much like stack. It represents a history of "graph objects" made by a particular user. Each "graph object" holds one or more "lines", a date range, keys, and a title. Each "line" holds a sql generator configured for a particular subset of data in my db. I would like for these "histories" to be available to users between their sessions. It will be in the form of a tab that reads something like "most recent graphs". File version maintainence via PHP FTP?

Currently I'm working on a "plugin" that will be installed on many different sites and I was wondering on the best way for me to maintain the file version of this "plugin". Here's what I was thinking. Have a "master copy" of the plugin on a server, then connect via FTP to the target sites and upload the copy to their site overwriting whatever files they may have. I was wondering the best way to go about this. The "plugin" will have many different folders and files so transferring one file at a time will be too tedious. Is there a way to copy an entire folder over at a time? Or even better, is there a way to recurse through the folders and checking for file difference before uploading the new file? This is to make sure we are uploading a new file and not just the same one.
