I'm just wondering what metrics I can use from SQL Server to help determine what my needs will be on Azure. The size of the database is around 150GB, so I understand what my needs are in terms of storage, I'm just not sure what metrics I can use to translate my database usage to the DTU benchmark metrics that the various service tiers on Azure SQL use.

  • Can't uninstall windows service

    I have somehow managed to half uninstall a windows service I was developing. In no particular order It won't delete if I use sc delete servicename It gives an exception using installutil /u pathtoservice.exe "specified service does not exist as an installed service" And using the installer/uninstaller obviously doesn't work either It's no longer in the Services listing It's not shown if I use sc query And I have rebooted I don't know what else to do, but something still exists, because attempting to install fails because it already exists. Please help.

    I have an swf (just a sequence of slides with audio, timing controlled by actionscript) that I want to convert to a compatible YouTube format (flv, mp4, etc.). I've tried using the Moyea SWF4Tube software but when it was converted all of the timing was gone. I'm fine with uploading as a swf, but the problem was (when I tried) that the codecs weren't appropriate. Any help regarding this is much appreciated, thanks.

    I have installed proftpd with mod-sql modules; i need to have a ftp server that would run on another port (and use a separate authentication scheme) Whenever i try to install vsftpd or pureftpd it simply removes proftpd and dependencies; i'm guessing it's to prevent having conflicts ... Is there any 'very small' ftp server; like run from command line that I could use ? I've searched all around but cannot find ... Any help would be appreciated

    I just inherited this a single linux box running pop/smtp for a small office (25 users). I'm new to Linux. I think the box is running Debian GNU/Linux 5.0 as the server (this is bannered accross the screen occassionally) but not sure of the release/kernal/build etc. I need to be certain of both the server os and email linux versions in order to perform research, admin and support. I am using the IF function to find cells within certain ranges, but want the cell to contain the value if it falls within that specific range. for example: =IF (AA3 is between 150 and 400 then AD3 is equal to AA3 and if not leave blank) my current formula below does not work: =IF(AND(AA3150, AA3<400), AD3=AA3, "" ) where AD3 is the cell I am working in... any suggestions?

    Hi All, I have a 6509 with ~1000 user machines in different vlans, I want to allow 10 server machines to send as much as they can/want but to limit all client machines from all subnets to have a sedning rate limit of 1mbps with no receiving limitation. It is worth noting that all my ip addresses are assigned using a DCHP server and there are 1000 of them so I can not write ACLs for every address seperately. Can any one provide some kind of help please?
