  • Lotus Notes - Export emails to plain text file

    - by mbeckish
    I am setting up a Lotus Notes account to accept emails from a client, and automatically save each email as a plain text file to be processed by another application. So, I'm trying to create my very first Agent in Lotus to automatically export the emails to text. Is there a standard, best practices way to do this? I've created a LotusScript Agent that pretty much works. However, there is a bug - once the Body of the memo exceeds 32K characters, it starts inserting extra CR/LF pairs. I am using Lotus Notes 7.0.3. Here is my script: Sub Initialize On Error Goto ErrorCleanup Dim session As New NotesSession Dim db As NotesDatabase Dim doc As NotesDocument Dim uniqueID As Variant Dim curView As NotesView Dim docCount As Integer Dim notesInputFolder As String Dim notesValidOutputFolder As String Dim notesErrorOutputFolder As String Dim outputFolder As String Dim fileNum As Integer Dim bodyRichText As NotesRichTextItem Dim bodyUnformattedText As String Dim subjectText As NotesItem ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' 'INPUT OUTPUT LOCATIONS outputFolder = "\\PASCRIA\CignaDFS\CUser1\Home\mikebec\MyDocuments\" notesInputFolder = "IBEmails" notesValidOutputFolder = "IBEmailsDone" notesErrorOutputFolder="IBEmailsError" ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' Set db = session.CurrentDatabase Set curview = db.GetView(notesInputFolder ) docCount = curview.EntryCount Print "NUMBER OF DOCS " & docCount fileNum = 1 While (docCount > 0) 'set current doc to Set doc = curview.GetNthDocument(docCount) Set bodyRichText = doc.GetFirstItem( "Body" ) bodyUnformattedText = bodyRichText.GetUnformattedText() Set subjectText = doc.GetFirstItem("Subject") If subjectText.Text = "LotusAgentTest" Then uniqueID = Evaluate("@Unique") Open "\\PASCRIA\CignaDFS\CUser1\Home\mikebec\MyDocuments\email_" & uniqueID(0) & ".txt" For Output As fileNum Print #fileNum, "Subject:" & subjectText.Text Print #fileNum, "Date:" & Now Print #fileNum, bodyUnformattedText Close fileNum fileNum = fileNum + 1 Call doc.PutInFolder(notesValidOutputFolder) Call doc.RemoveFromFolder(notesInputFolder) End If doccount = doccount-1 Wend Exit Sub ErrorCleanup: Call sendErrorEmail(db,doc.GetItemValue("From")(0)) Call doc.PutInFolder(notesErrorOutputFolder) Call doc.RemoveFromFolder(notesInputFolder) End Sub Update Apparently the 32KB issue isn't consistent - so far, it's just one document that starts getting extra carriage returns after 32K.

  • Java generic return type

    - by Colby77
    Hi, I'd like to write a method that can accept a type param (or whatever the method can figure out the type from) and return a value of this type so I don't have to cast the return type. Here is a method: public Object doIt(Object param){ if(param instanceof String){ return "string"; }else if(param instanceof Integer){ return 1; }else{ return null; } } When I call this method, and pass in it a String, even if I know the return type will be a String I have to cast the return Object. This is similar to the int param. How shall I write this method to accept a type param, and return this type?

  • Error mounting CloudDrive snapshot in Azure

    - by Dave
    Hi, I've been running a cloud drive snapshot in dev for a while now with no probs. I'm now trying to get this working in Azure. I can't for the life of me get it to work. This is my latest error: Microsoft.WindowsAzure.Storage.CloudDriveException: Unknown Error HRESULT=D000000D ---> Microsoft.Window.CloudDrive.Interop.InteropCloudDriveException: Exception of type 'Microsoft.WindowsAzure.CloudDrive.Interop.InteropCloudDriveException' was thrown. at ThrowIfFailed(UInt32 hr) at Microsoft.WindowsAzure.CloudDrive.Interop.InteropCloudDrive.Mount(String url, SignatureCallBack sign, String mount, Int32 cacheSize, UInt32 flags) at Microsoft.WindowsAzure.StorageClient.CloudDrive.Mount(Int32 cacheSize, DriveMountOptions options) Any idea what is causing this? I'm running both the WorkerRole and Storage in Azure so it's nothing to do with the dev simulation environment disconnect. This is my code to mount the snapshot: CloudDrive.InitializeCache(localPath.TrimEnd('\\'), size); var container = _blobStorage.GetContainerReference(containerName); var blob = container.GetPageBlobReference(driveName); CloudDrive cloudDrive = _cloudStorageAccount.CreateCloudDrive(blob.Uri.AbsoluteUri); string snapshotUri; try { snapshotUri = cloudDrive.Snapshot().AbsoluteUri; Log.Info("CloudDrive Snapshot = '{0}'", snapshotUri); } catch (Exception ex) { throw new InvalidCloudDriveException(string.Format( "An exception has been thrown trying to create the CloudDrive '{0}'. This may be because it doesn't exist.", cloudDrive.Uri.AbsoluteUri), ex); } cloudDrive = _cloudStorageAccount.CreateCloudDrive(snapshotUri); Log.Info("CloudDrive created: {0}", snapshotUri, cloudDrive); string driveLetter = cloudDrive.Mount(size, DriveMountOptions.None); The .Mount() method at the end is what's now failing. Please help as this has me royally stumped! Thanks in advance. Dave

  • sharpziplib + Whenever i try to add a file to existing archive, it overwrites previous contents

    - by schmoopy
    I am trying to add files to an existing zip file. Whenever i do, the new one contains the new list of files im passing in, but all of the previous ones are wiped out. I have also tried the code here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1356003/c-sharpziplib-adding-file-to-existing-archive -- same results Any idea why i cannot add files to an existing zip while maintaining the previous files? Here is the code: public static void AddFileToZip(string currentZipPath, List<string> files, bool includeFullPathInEntry, int compressionLevel) { ZipOutputStream zipStrm = new ZipOutputStream(File.Open(currentZipPath, FileMode.Open, FileAccess.ReadWrite)); zipStrm.SetLevel(compressionLevel); foreach (string str in files) { string entryName = str; if (!includeFullPathInEntry) entryName = new FileInfo(str).Name; ZipEntry entry = new ZipEntry(entryName); zipStrm.PutNextEntry(entry); Byte[] b = File.ReadAllBytes(str); zipStrm.Write(b, 0, b.Length); } zipStrm.Finish(); zipStrm.Close(); }

  • Java Charset problem on linux

    - by scot
    Hi, problem: I have a string containing special characters which i convert to bytes and vice versa..the conversion works properly on windows but on linux the special character is not converted properly.the default charset on linux is UTF-8 as seen with Charset.defaultCharset.getdisplayName() however if i run on linux with option -Dfile.encoding=ISO-8859-1 it works properly.. how to make it work using the UTF-8 default charset and not setting the -D option in unix environment. edit: i use jdk1.6.13 edit:code snippet works with cs = "ISO-8859-1"; or cs="UTF-8"; on win but not in linux String x = "½"; System.out.println(x); byte[] ba = x.getBytes(Charset.forName(cs)); for (byte b : ba) { System.out.println(b); } String y = new String(ba, Charset.forName(cs)); System.out.println(y); ~regards daed

  • Is there any JavaScript Library to intelligently truncate strings?

    - by j0ker
    I need to truncate strings in a side menu to make the fit into a div without a linebreak. The divs have a fixed width. I'm looking for a library to do that for me. If a string is too long to fit into the div, it should be truncated like: <div>This string is too long</div> == <div>This string is...ong</div> As you can see, the string is not only truncated by an ellipsis but the last three letters are also visible. This is meant to increase readability. The truncation should not care about spaces. Does anyone know of a library that includes such functionality? We're mainly using jQuery throughout the project. Thanks in advance!

  • Translate ImageButton from C# to XAML

    - by Bill
    I worked out the C# code to create an ImageButton (below) that has three images (one base-image and two overlays) and three text boxes as the face of the button. I am inheriting from the Button class, which unfortunately includes several components that I didn't realize would surface until after coding and need to remove, namely the bright-blue surrounding border on IsMouseOver, and any visible borders between the buttons, as the buttons will end up in a wrapPanel and the borders need to be seamless. Now that the format has been worked out in C#, I expect that I need to translate to XAML so that I can create a ControlTemplate to get the functionality necessary, however I am not certain as to the process of translating from C# to XAML. Can anyone steer me in the right direction? public class ACover : Button { Image cAImage = null; Image jCImage = null; Image jCImageOverlay = null; TextBlock ATextBlock = null; TextBlock AbTextBlock = null; TextBlock ReleaseDateTextBlock = null; private string _TracksXML = ""; public ACover() { Grid cArtGrid = new Grid(); cArtGrid.Background = new SolidColorBrush(Color.FromRgb(38, 44, 64)); cArtGrid.Margin = new System.Windows.Thickness(5, 10, 5, 10); RowDefinition row1 = new RowDefinition(); row1.Height = new GridLength(225); RowDefinition row2 = new RowDefinition(); row2.Height = new GridLength(0, GridUnitType.Auto); RowDefinition row3 = new RowDefinition(); row3.Height = new GridLength(0, GridUnitType.Auto); RowDefinition row4 = new RowDefinition(); row4.Height = new GridLength(0, GridUnitType.Auto); cArtGrid.RowDefinitions.Add(row1); cArtGrid.RowDefinitions.Add(row2); cArtGrid.RowDefinitions.Add(row3); cArtGrid.RowDefinitions.Add(row4); ColumnDefinition col1 = new ColumnDefinition(); col1.Width = new GridLength(0, GridUnitType.Auto); cArtGrid.ColumnDefinitions.Add(col1); jCImage = new Image(); jCImage.Height = 240; jCImage.Width = 260; jCImage.VerticalAlignment = VerticalAlignment.Top; jCImage.Source = new BitmapImage(new Uri(Properties.Settings.Default.pathToGridImages + "jc.png", UriKind.Absolute)); cArtGrid.Children.Add(jCImage); cArtImage = new Image(); cArtImage.Height = 192; cArtImage.Width = 192; cArtImage.Margin = new System.Windows.Thickness(3, 7, 0, 0); cArtImage.VerticalAlignment = VerticalAlignment.Top; cArtGrid.Children.Add(cArtImage); jCImageOverlay = new Image(); jCImageOverlay.Height = 192; jCImageOverlay.Width = 192; jCImageOverlay.Margin = new System.Windows.Thickness(3, 7, 0, 0); jCImageOverlay.VerticalAlignment = VerticalAlignment.Top; jCImageOverlay.Source = new BitmapImage(new Uri( Properties.Settings.Default.pathToGridImages + "jc-overlay.png", UriKind.Absolute)); coverArtGrid.Children.Add(jCImageOverlay); ATextBlock = new TextBlock(); ATextBlock.Foreground = new SolidColorBrush(Color.FromRgb(173, 176, 198)); ATextBlock.Margin = new Thickness(10, -10, 0, 0); cArtGrid.Children.Add(ATextBlock); AlTextBlock = new TextBlock(); AlTextBlock.Margin = new Thickness(10, 0, 0, 0); AlTextBlock.Foreground = new SolidColorBrush(Color.FromRgb(173, 176, 198)); cArtGrid.Children.Add(AlTextBlock); RDTextBlock = new TextBlock(); RDTextBlock.Margin = new Thickness(10, 0, 0, 0); RDTextBlock.Foreground = new SolidColorBrush(Color.FromRgb(173, 176, 198)); cArtGrid.Children.Add(RDTextBlock); Grid.SetColumn(jCImage, 0); Grid.SetRow(jCImage, 0); Grid.SetColumn(jCImageOverlay, 0); Grid.SetRow(jCImageOverlay, 0); Grid.SetColumn(cArtImage, 0); Grid.SetRow(cArtImage, 0); Grid.SetColumn(ATextBlock, 0); Grid.SetRow(ATextBlock, 1); Grid.SetColumn(AlTextBlock, 0); Grid.SetRow(AlTextBlock, 2); Grid.SetColumn(RDTextBlock, 0); Grid.SetRow(RDTextBlock, 3); this.Content = cArtGrid; } public string A { get { if (ATextBlock != null) return ATextBlock.Text; else return String.Empty; } set { if (ATextBlock != null) ATextBlock.Text = value; } } public string Al { get { if (AlTextBlock != null) return AlTextBlock.Text; else return String.Empty; } set { if (AlTextBlock != null) AlTextBlock.Text = value; } } public string RD { get { if (RDTextBlock != null) return RDTextBlock.Text; else return String.Empty; } set { if (RDTextBlock != null) RDTextBlock.Text = value; } } public ImageSource Image { get { if (cArtImage != null) return cArtImage.Source; else return null; } set { if (cArtImage != null) cArtImage.Source = value; } } public string TracksXML { get { return _TracksXML; } set { _TracksXML = value; } } public double ImageWidth { get { if (cArtImage != null) return cArtImage.Width; else return double.NaN; } set { if (cArtImage != null) cArtImage.Width = value; } } public double ImageHeight { get { if (cArtImage != null) return cArtImage.Height; else return double.NaN; } set { if (cArtImage != null) cArtImage.Height = value; } } }

  • Android accessibility focus - clicking a view changes focus to previous view

  • Android table width queries

    - by user1653285
    I have a table layout (code below), but I have am having a bit of a problem with the width of the cells. The picture below shows the problem. There should be a white border on the right hand side of the screen. I also want the text "Auditorium" not to wrap onto a new line (I would prefer that "13th -" get put onto the new line instead, I don't want to put \n in there because then it would mean it goes onto a new line at that point on bigger screens/landscape view). How can I fix those two problems? <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <ScrollView xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:background="#013567" > <TableLayout android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:shrinkColumns="*" android:stretchColumns="*" > <TableRow android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" > <TextView android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="match_parent" android:background="@drawable/textlines" android:gravity="center" android:text="@string/meeting_5" android:textColor="#fff" > </TextView> <TextView android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="match_parent" android:background="@drawable/textlines" android:gravity="center" android:text="@string/meeting_5_date" android:textColor="#fff" > </TextView> <TextView android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="match_parent" android:background="@drawable/textlines" android:gravity="center" android:text="@string/meeting_5_location" android:textColor="#fff" > </TextView> </TableRow> <TableRow android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" > <TextView android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="match_parent" android:background="@drawable/textlines" android:gravity="center" android:text="@string/AGM" android:textColor="#fff" > </TextView> <TextView android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="match_parent" android:background="@drawable/textlines" android:gravity="center" android:text="@string/AGM_date" android:textColor="#fff" > </TextView> <TextView android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="match_parent" android:background="@drawable/textlines" android:gravity="center" android:text="@string/AGM_location" android:textColor="#fff" > </TextView> </TableRow> </TableLayout>

  • LUA: A couple of pattern matching issues

    - by Josh
    I'm fairly new to lua programming, but I'm also a quick study. I've been working on a weather forecaster for a program that I use, and it's working well, for the most part. Here is what I have so far. (Pay no attention to the zs.stuff. That is program specific and has no bearing on the lua coding.) if not http then http = require("socket.http") end local locale = string.gsub(zs.params(1),"%s+","%%20") local page = http.request("http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=" .. locale .. "&wuSelect=WEATHER") local location = string.match(page,'title="([%w%s,]+) RSS"') --print("Gathering weather information for " .. location .. ".") --local windspeed = string.match(page,'<span class="nobr"><span class="b">([%d.]+)</span>&nbsp;mph</span>') --print(windspeed) local condition = string.match(page, '<td class="vaM taC"><img src="http://icons-ecast.wxug.com/i/c/a/[%w_]+.gif" width="42" height="42" alt="[%w%s]+" class="condIcon" />') --local image = string.match(page, '<img src="http://icons-ecast.wxug.com/i/c/a/(.+).gif" width="42" height="42" alt="[%w%s]+" class="condIcon" />') local temperature = string.match(page,'pwsvariable="tempf" english="&deg;F" metric="&deg;C" value="([%d.]+)">') local humidity = string.match(page,'pwsvariable="humidity" english="" metric="" value="(%d+)"') zs.say(location) --zs.say("image ./Images/" .. image .. ".gif") zs.say("<color limegreen>Condition:</color> <color white>" .. condition .. "</color>") zs.say("<color limegreen>Temperature: </color><color white>" .. temperature .. "F</color>") zs.say("<color limegreen>Humidity: </color><color white>" .. humidity .. "%</color>") My main issue is this: I changed the 'condition' and added the 'image' variables to what they are now. Even though the line it's supposed to be matching comes directly from the webpage, it fails to match at all. So I'm wondering what it is I'm missing that's preventing this code from working. If I take out the <td class="vaM taC">< img src="http://icons-ecast.wxug.com/i/c/a/[%w_]+.gif" it'll match condition flawlessly. (For whatever reason, I can't get the above line to display correctly, but there is no space between the `< and img) Can anyone point out what is wrong with it? Aside from the pattern matching, I assure you the line is verbatim from the webpage. Another question I had is the ability to match across line breaks. Is there any possible way to do this? The reason why I ask is because on that same page, a few of the things I need to match are broken up on separate lines, and since the actual pattern I'm wanting to match shows up in other places on the page, I need to be able to match across line breaks to get the exact pattern. I appreciate any help in this matter!

  • Cannot convert CString to BYTE array

    - by chekalin-v
    I need to convert CString to BYTE array. I don't know why, but everything that I found in internet does not work :( For example, I have CString str = _T("string"); I've been trying so 1) BYTE *pbBuffer = (BYTE*)(LPCTSTR)str; 2) BYTE *pbBuffer = new BYTE[str.GetLength()+1]; memcpy(pbBuffer, (VOID*)(LPCTSTR)StrRegID, str.GetLength()); 3) BYTE *pbBuffer = (BYTE*)str.GetString(); And always pbBuffer contains just first letter of str DWORD dwBufferLen = strlen((char *)pbBuffer)+1; is 2 But if I use const string: BYTE *pbBuffer = (BYTE*)"string"; pbBuffer contains whole string Where is my mistake?

  • Java binary files writeUTF... explain specifications...

    - by user69514
    I'm studying Java on my own. One of the exercises is the following, however I do not really understand what it is asking to.... any smart java gurus out there that could explain this in more detail and simple words? Thanks Suppose that you have a binary file that contains numbers whos type is either int or double. You dont know the order of the numbers in the file, but their order is recorded in a string at the begining of the file. The string is composed of the letters i for int, and d for double, in the order of the types of the subsequent numbers. The string is written using the method writeUTF. For example the string "iddiiddd" indicated that the file contains eight values, as follows: one integer, followed by two doubles, followed by two integers, followed by three doubles. Read this binary file and create a new text file of the values written one to a line.

  • Rails deployment from a windows machine

    - by Kenji Crosland
    I'm a rails novice and just finished my first rails app(as far as I can tell). Now I'm at the deployment stage and find myself utterly confused--especially because I'm deploying from a windows machine. I bought the pragmatic book on deployment and it seems a little out of date since they're recommending subversion instead of Git. What would be the easiest deployment method these days for someone doomed to use windows? Are there any good up-to-date tutorials on deployment from Windows?

    I would like to understand how I can use a cursor to jpg files in a folder specified in the sdcard. I'm trying to select with a cursor the jpg files in a specific folder, and I tried this: This is the code: public static Uri getRandomImage(ContentResolver resolver) { String[] projection = new String[] { BaseColumns._ID, }; String folder = "/sdcard/DCIM/Wallpaper/"; folder = folder + "%"; Uri uri = Media.EXTERNAL_CONTENT_URI; String[] whereArgs = new String[]{folder}; Cursor cursor = resolver.query(uri, projection, null, whereArgs, MediaColumns._ID); if (cursor == null || cursor.getCount() <= 0) { return null; } cursor.moveToPosition(new Random().nextInt(cursor.getCount())); return Uri.withAppendedPath(uri, cursor.getString(0)); } but this code gives me error here is the logcat: E/AndroidRuntime(11986): FATAL EXCEPTION: main E/AndroidRuntime(11986): android.database.sqlite.SQLiteException: bind or column index out of range: handle 0x26a490 E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at android.database.DatabaseUtils.readExceptionFromParcel(DatabaseUtils.java:158) E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at android.database.DatabaseUtils.readExceptionFromParcel(DatabaseUtils.java:114) E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at android.content.ContentProviderProxy.bulkQueryInternal(ContentProviderNative.java:330) E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at android.content.ContentProviderProxy.query(ContentProviderNative.java:366) E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at android.content.ContentResolver.query(ContentResolver.java:245) E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at it.bisemanuDEV.slidepuzzle.SelectImagePreference.getRandomImage(SelectImagePreference.java:126) E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at it.bisemanuDEV.slidepuzzle.TileView.newGame(TileView.java:156) E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at it.bisemanuDEV.slidepuzzle.SlidePuzzleActivity.onOptionsItemSelected(SlidePuzzleActivity.java:377) E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at android.app.Activity.onMenuItemSelected(Activity.java:2762) E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at com.android.internal.policy.impl.PhoneWindow.onMenuItemSelected(PhoneWindow.java:730) E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at com.android.internal.view.menu.MenuItemImpl.invoke(MenuItemImpl.java:143) E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at com.android.internal.view.menu.MenuBuilder.performItemAction(MenuBuilder.java:855) E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at com.android.internal.view.menu.IconMenuView.invokeItem(IconMenuView.java:532) E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at com.android.internal.view.menu.IconMenuItemView.performClick(IconMenuItemView.java:122) E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at android.view.View$PerformClick.run(View.java:8819) E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at android.os.Handler.handleCallback(Handler.java:603) E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at android.os.Handler.dispatchMessage(Handler.java:92) E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at android.os.Looper.loop(Looper.java:123) E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at android.app.ActivityThread.main(ActivityThread.java:4627) E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at java.lang.reflect.Method.invokeNative(Native Method) E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:521) E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at com.android.internal.os.ZygoteInit$MethodAndArgsCaller.run(ZygoteInit.java:868) E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at com.android.internal.os.ZygoteInit.main(ZygoteInit.java:626) E/AndroidRuntime(11986): at dalvik.system.NativeStart.main(Native Method)

  • ASP.NET MVC SSL POST Error

    - by RyanFetz
    I have a Logon page in a MVC (1.0) application that I am securing with SSL, I have an attribute that inspects the request for the page and redirects to a https uri when it is requested with http. This all works, however when I post the form content i get the following error: The parameters dictionary contains a null entry for parameter 'rememberMe' of non-nullable type 'System.Boolean' for method 'System.Web.Mvc.ActionResult LogOn(System.String, System.String, Boolean, System.String)' in 'DAC.US.Web.Portal.Controllers.AccountController'. To make a parameter optional its type should be either a reference type or a Nullable type. Parameter name: parameters here is the controller code... // // GET: /Account/LogOn [RequiresSSL] public ActionResult LogOn(string ReturnUrl) { if (TempData["Message"] != null) ViewData["Message"] = TempData["Message"]; TempData["Message"] = null; ViewData["ReturnUrl"] = ReturnUrl ?? "/Home"; return View(); } Again, the RequireSSL Attribute works, but the POST from that SSL uri does not. What is not working?

  • Getting ClassCastException with JSF 1.2 Custom Component and BEA 10.3

    - by Tobi
    Im getting a ClassCastException if i use Attributes in my Custom Headline Tag. Without Attributes rendering works fine. Calling <t:headline value="test" /> gives a ClassCastException even before a Method in my HeadlineComponent or HeadlineTag-Class is called. <t:headline /> works fine.
