The sun grid engine defaults to csh, and you have to put this: #$ -S /bin/sh into scripts to avoid it. What global configuration setting would change this default?

I need to validate the contents of a C# method.
I do not care about syntax errors.
I do care about characters that will invalidate parsing of the rest of the code. For example:
method()
{
/* valid comment */
/* <-- bad
for (i..) {
}
for (i..) { <-- bad
}
I need to validate/fix any non-paired characters.
This includeds /* */, { }, and maybe others.
How should I go about this?
I'm trying to learn how to use GCM and I want download the simple app. I'm following the instructions here: http://developer.android.com/google/gcm/server.html.
Using App Engine for Java
To set up the server using a standard App Engine for Java:
Get the files from the open source site, as described above.
I entered the link - https://code.google.com/p/gcm/ but there is no download there, and I don't have Git (and I don't know how to use it..).
Can someone please explain how to download it or give me a link or something?
Thank you in advance!
I am making a game and I am trying to decide what is the best practice for exchanging damage between two objects on the screen. Should the damage be passed directly between the two objects or should it be pass through a central game engine that decides the damage and different criteria's such as hit or miss or amount dealt.
So overall what is the best practice.
After adding the new facebook like button to my page, it no longer validates using XHTML strict. The two errors I come across are:
All of the "meta property" tags say that "there is no attribute "property""
All of the variables used in the like button line are listed that there are no attributes for it. The line is as follows:
<fb:like href="http://www.pampamanta.org" layout="button_count" show_faces="false" width="120" action="like" font="arial" colorscheme="light"></fb:like>
I expected the code below to alert "0" and "1", but it alert "2" twice. I don't the reason. Don't know if it is a problem of jQuery. Also, please help me to edit title and tags of this post if they are inaccurate.

I'm attempting to improve the usability of a client's SharePoint deployment via JQuery; and am hitting a brick wall when trying to find any sort of documentation of what's happening in core.js (aside from painfully digging through and trying to parse any sort of meaning out of it --all 250kb of it!!!!--) Anyone have any pointers, or documentation?
EDIT:
Sorry, to clarify my question, i'm familiar with using JQuery with SharePoint. My question involves hooking JQuery into SharePoint's own client API. My question is inspired by this post http://www.codefornuts.com/2009/09/forcing-sharepoint-into-asynchronous.html# ; where the author is overriding methods such as "SubmitFormPost" and "STSNavigate" in order to make the UI interaction more "AJAXy".
In my form I am using drop down for showing day, month, year. can you help me to validate the date. I have to validate the entered age is greater than 15. also checking leap year
I not getting the desired effect from a script. I want the password to contain A-Z, a-z, 0-9, and special chars.
A-Z
a-z
0-9 2
special chars 2
string length = 8
So I want to force the user to use at least 2 digits and at least 2 special chars. Ok my script works but forces me to use the digits or chars back to back. I don't want that. e.g. password testABC55$$ is valid - but i don't want that.
Instead I want test$ABC5#8 to be valid. So basically the digits/special char can be the same or diff - but must be split up in the string.
PHP CODE:
$uppercase = preg_match('#[A-Z]#', $password);
$lowercase = preg_match('#[a-z]#', $password);
$number = preg_match('#[0-9]#', $password);
$special = preg_match('#[\W]{2,}#', $password);
$length = strlen($password) >= 8;
if(!$uppercase || !$lowercase || !$number || !$special || !$length) {
$errorpw = 'Bad Password';
We have a requirement where we need to allow users to dynamically create custom reports that will run against our database and return sets of data. It would be something similar to this: http://www.marcuswhitworth.com/2009/12/dynamic-linq-with-expression-trees/ but would ultimately contain the ability to create more complicated logic.
I believe LINQ to Entities might possibly allow us to do something like we're attempting to achieve. I should note that these reports are going to need to run against multiple tables. Can anyone point me in the right direction for something like this? Has anyone done anything similar with LINQ to Entities?
I have 'n' number of textbox on a form, after the user enters a value in a textbox, i need to validate its not a duplicate in the other textboxes.
Ex :
Textbox[0] : 1
Textbox[1] : 2
Textbox[2] : 3
Textbox[4] : 1
For this example it should alert saying that '1' have entered twice.
Let me know what to be done.
I'm using backbone for a reasonably complicated form. I have a number of nested models, and have been computing other variables in the parent model like so:
// INSIDE PARENT MODEL
computedValue: function () {
var value = this.get('childModel').get('childModelProperty');
return value;
}
This seems to work fine for keeping my UI in sync, but as soon as I call
.save()
on the parent model, I get:
Uncaught TypeError: Object #<Object> has no method 'get'
It seems that the child model kind of temporarily stops responding.
Am I doing something inherently wrong?
EDIT: The stack trace is:

Hi,
Is it possible to generate word documents (*.doc) in java web application using Eclipse BIRT (Report Engine)? I want .rptdesign to be an input file in generating process. I could not find any example or tutorial.
What would you recommend as an alternative solution. As far as I know Jasper Reports allow only RTF format generation.
Thank you for your answer/explaination
I'm trying to validate the entry of text using Python/tkInter
def validate_text():
return False
text = Entry(textframe, validate="focusout", validatecommand=validate_text)
where validate_text is the function - I've tried always returning False and always returning True and there's no difference in the outcome..? Is there a set of arguments in the function that I need to include?
Edit - changed from NONE to focusout...still not working
For the love of God I am not getting this easy code to work! It is always alerting out "null" which means that the string does not match the expression.
var pattern = "^\w+@[a-zA-Z_]+?\.[a-zA-Z]{2,3}$";
function isEmailAddress(str) {
str = "[email protected]";
alert(str.match(pattern));
return str.match(pattern);
}
How is the NVIDIA PhysX engine implemented in the NVIDIA GPUs: It's a co-processor or the physical algorithms are implemented as fragment programs to be executed in the GPU pipeline ?
Hi,
does anyone have any idea how I can get started building a search engine for my asp.net mvc site using entity framework. I plan to build something like: http://www.carsguide.com.au/search/?N=4294962119++492&type=cars
there on the left there is a refine search option panel.
What's the best approach to design a model for the UI and optimized query with entity framework.
HI, I am trying to build an certification Test engine in my website techification.com

I have a user who's having issues running the JCarousellite plug-in in IE8. Not just on my own site, but also on the jcarousellite homepage (http://www.gmarwaha.com/jquery/jcarousellite/) It runs fine on my own machine and all his IE Security settings/levels are the same as my own (Secruity is at "Medium-High" and Privacy at "Medium"). JQuery also seems to be working for him as other aspects controlled by jquery on the site are functioning correctly.
I use Firefox normally, so am not aware of every feature IE8 offers, but am thinking he has some setting/option set incorrectly.
Anyone experienced something similar or have any suggestions for settings I could look at changing? Thanks

Hi
just wondering if its possible to have a hidden parent and a visible child with css or jQuery,
basically on some certain pages I'm trying to make a child element visible even though the parents are hidden,
var bodyClass = jQuery('body').attr('class');
//alert (bodyClass);
var searchTerm = 'category-mens';
var searchTerm2 = 'category-ladies';
if((bodyClass.search(searchTerm) || bodyClass.search(searchTerm2)) != -1) {
jQuery('.nav-container ul.level0 li.level1 ul.level1 li.level2 ul.level2 li.first a span').css({
'display':'block',
'position':'absolute',
'top':'500px',
'left':'500px'
});
}
at the moment it doesn't work because the li.level2 is hidden.
Thanks for the help.
I'm trying to validate a UI change when Enter key is pressed. The UI element is a textbox, which is data binded to a string. My problem is that the data binding hasn't updated TestText when Enter key is Up. It is only updated when I press the button which brings up a message box.
