• Jaxb doesn't generate Interface for element of complex type

- by user275886
I have an xsd (for basecamp xml) that contains <xsd:complexType name="ProjectType"> <xsd:sequence> <xsd:element name="announcement" type="TypedNilableStringElementType" maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="1"> </xsd:element> <xsd:element name="created-on" type="TypedDateElementType" maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="1"> </xsd:element> <xsd:element name="id" type="TypedIntegerElementType" maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="1"> </xsd:element> <xsd:element name="last-changed-on" type="TypedDateTimeElementType" maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="1"> </xsd:element> <xsd:element name="name" type="xsd:string" maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="1"> </xsd:element> <xsd:element name="show-announcement" type="TypedBooleanElementType" maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="1"> </xsd:element> <xsd:element name="show-writeboards" type="TypedBooleanElementType" maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="1"> </xsd:element> <xsd:element name="start-page" type="xsd:string" maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="1"> </xsd:element> <xsd:element name="status" type="xsd:string" maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="1"> </xsd:element> <xsd:element name="company" type="SimpleCompanyType" maxOccurs="1" minOccurs="1"> </xsd:element> </xsd:sequence> </xsd:complexType> and <xsd:element name="project" type="ProjectType"> </xsd:element> I'm looking at http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/tutorial/doc/bnbah.html and can't understand what I'm doing different from the sample schema in Table 17-13 where there is an element named purchaseOrder of type PurchaseOrderType. According to the tutorial, running xjc on the schema, one will get PurchaseOrder.java interface and PurchaseOrderType.java interface. When I run xjc on my schema I only get a ProjectType.java class, and when the xml actually consist of a single element, this won't parse, because there are no Project.java class/interface to match.

• What good tiny or basic SVG editors are there?

- by Sander Versluys
I'm in need for a good SVG editor which can produce valid xml according to spec of the Tiny SVG profile. I would prefer if the tool was open-source or free but good commercial tools are welcome as well. Note: I have used some online tools and Inkscape, but those do not allow specifying the spec they must adhere to.

• get output of last Process on SSAS cube

- by Raj More
I have processed a SSAS cube. After it was done processing, I hit the close button - and then realized that I should have saved the output. I think SSAS stores the processing log as a text or XML file, but I do not know what folder to look into. Can someone direct me to retrieving processing logs?

• Grails exploded under tomcat

- by xain
Hi, is there a way to use Grails in "exploded" mode on tomcat in order to make individual changes in a running application (like a gif) without having to regenerate the entire war and upload it ? Something like adding an xml file in tomcat's conf/Catalina/localhost that points to an exploded grails application ? Thanks in advance.

• Uploading file to DropBox causing UnlinkedException

- by Boardy
I am currently working on android project and trying to enable DropBox functionality. I've selected the access type to App Only, and I can successfully authenticate and it creates an Apps directory and inside that creates a directory with the name of my app. When I then try to put a file in the DropBox directory it goes into the DropBoxException catch and in the logcat prints com.dropbox.client2.exception.DropboxUnlinkedException. I've done a google and from what I've seen this happens if the apps directory has been deleted and so authentication is required to be re-done, but this isn't the case, I have deleted it and I am putting the file straight after doing the authentication. Below is the code that retrieves the keys and stores the file on dropbox. AccessTokenPair tokens = getTokens(); UploadFile uploadFile = new UploadFile(context, common, this, mDBApi); uploadFile.execute(mDBApi); Below is the code for the getTokens method (don't think this would help but you never know) private AccessTokenPair getTokens() { AccessTokenPair tokens; SharedPreferences prefs = context.getSharedPreferences("prefs", 0); String key = prefs.getString("dropbox_key", ""); String secret = prefs.getString("dropbox_secret", ""); tokens = new AccessTokenPair(key, secret); return tokens; } Below is the class that extends the AsyncTask to perform the upload class UploadFile extends AsyncTask<DropboxAPI<AndroidAuthSession>, Void, bool> { Context context; Common common; Synchronisation sync; DropboxAPI<AndroidAuthSession> mDBApi; public UploadFile(Context context, Common common, Synchronisation sync, DropboxAPI<AndroidAuthSession> mDBApi) { this.context = context; this.common = common; this.sync = sync; this.mDBApi = mDBApi; } @Override protected bool doInBackground(DropboxAPI<AndroidAuthSession>... params) { try { File file = new File(Environment.getExternalStorageDirectory() + "/BoardiesPasswordManager/dropbox_sync.xml"); FileInputStream inputStream = new FileInputStream(file); Entry newEntry = mDBApi.putFile("android_sync.xml", inputStream, file.length(), null, null); common.showToastMessage("Successfully uploade Rev: " + newEntry.rev, Toast.LENGTH_LONG); } catch (IOException ex) { Log.e("DropBoxError", ex.toString()); } catch (DropboxException e) { Log.e("DropBoxError", e.toString()); e.printStackTrace(); } return null; } I have no idea why it would display the UnlinkedException so any help would be greatly appreciated.

• Why does my Spring Controller direct me to the wrong page?

- by kc2001
I am writing my first Spring 3.0.5 MVC app and am confused about why my controller mappings aren't doing what I expect. I have a VerifyPasswordController that is called after a user tries to log in by entering his name and password. // Called upon clicking "submit" from /login @RequestMapping(value = "/verifyPassword", method = RequestMethod.POST) @ModelAttribute("user") public String verifyPassword(User user, BindingResult result) { String email = user.getEmail(); String nextPage = CHOOSE_OPERATION_PAGE; // success case if (result.hasErrors()) { nextPage = LOGIN_PAGE; } else if (!passwordMatches(email, user.getPassword())) { nextPage = LOGIN_FAILURE_PAGE; } else { // success } return nextPage; } I can verify in the debugger that this method is being called, but afterwards, the verifyPassword page is displayed rather than the chooseOperation page. The console output of WebLogic seems to show that my mapping are correct: INFO : org.springframework.web.servlet.mvc.annotation.DefaultAnnotationHandlerMapping - Mapped URL path [/chooseOperation] onto handler 'chooseOperationController' INFO : org.springframework.web.servlet.mvc.annotation.DefaultAnnotationHandlerMapping - Mapped URL path [/chooseOperation.*] onto handler 'chooseOperationController' INFO : org.springframework.web.servlet.mvc.annotation.DefaultAnnotationHandlerMapping - Mapped URL path [/chooseOperation/] onto handler 'chooseOperationController' Here is the ChooseOperationController: @Controller @SessionAttributes("leaveRequestForm") public class ChooseOperationController implements PageIfc, AttributeIfc { @RequestMapping(value = "/chooseOperation") @ModelAttribute("leaveRequestForm") public LeaveRequest setUpLeaveRequestForm( @RequestParam(NAME_ATTRIBUTE) String name) { LeaveRequest form = populateFormFromDatabase(name); return form; } // helper methods omited } I welcome any advice, particularly "generic" techniques for debugging such mapping problems. BTW, I've also tried to "redirect" to the desired page, but got the same result. servlet-context.xml: <beans:beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/mvc" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:beans="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans" xmlns:context="http://www.springframework.org/schema/context" xsi:schemaLocation=" http://www.springframework.org/schema/mvc http://www.springframework.org/schema/mvc/spring-mvc-3.0.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans-3.0.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/context http://www.springframework.org/schema/context/spring-context-3.0.xsd"> <annotation-driven /> <resources mapping="/resources/**" location="/resources/" /> <beans:bean class="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.InternalResourceViewResolver"> <beans:property name="prefix" value="/WEB-INF/views/" /> <beans:property name="suffix" value=".jsp" /> </beans:bean> <context:component-scan base-package="com.engilitycorp.leavetracker" /> <beans:bean id="leaveRequestForm" class="com.engilitycorp.leavetracker.model.LeaveRequest" /> </beans:beans> The constants: String LOGIN_FAILURE_PAGE = "loginFailure"; String LOGIN_PAGE = "login"; String CHOOSE_OPERATION_PAGE = "chooseOperation";

- by Joelbitar
I have two ImageView's in a FrameLayout of which one (the one on top) is to be animated. I want it to fade in and continuously rotate, the animation works fine and looks like this: http://code.google.com/p/switchctrl/source/browse/trunk/android/res/anim/device_loading_fadein.xml ImageView loading = (ImageView) v.findViewById(R.id.loading_anim); Animation loading_animation = AnimationUtils.loadAnimation(getContext(), loading_animation_id); loading.startAnimation(loading_animation); I can not setAlpha on the loading image, if I do the animation does not quite work.

• Arbitrary Form Processing with Drupal

- by Aaron
I am writing a module for my organization to cache XML feeds to static files to an arbitrary place on our webserver. I am new at Drupal development, and would like to know if I am approaching this the right way. Basically I: Expose a url via the menu hook, where a user can enter in a an output directory on the webserver and press the "dump" button and then have PHP go to drupal and get the feed xml. I don't need help with that functionality, because I actually have a prototype working in Python (outside of Drupal).. Provide a callback for the form where I can do my logic, using the form parameters. Here's the menu hook: function ncbi_cache_files_menu() { $items = array(); $items['admin/content/ncbi_cache_files'] = array( 'title' => 'NCBI Cache File Module', 'description' => 'Cache Guide static content to files', 'page callback' => 'drupal_get_form', 'page arguments' => array( 'ncbi_cache_files_show_submit'), 'access arguments' => array( 'administer site configuration' ), 'type' => MENU_NORMAL_ITEM, ); return $items; } I generate the form in: function ncbi_cache_files_show_submit() { $DEFAULT_OUT = 'http://myorg/foo'; $form[ 'ncbi_cache_files' ] = array( '#type' => 'textfield', '#title' => t('Output Directory'), '#description' => t('Where you want the static files to be dumped. This should be a directory that www has write access to, and should be accessible from the foo server'), '#default_value' => t( $DEFAULT_OUT ), '#size' => strlen( $DEFAULT_OUT ) + 5, ); $form['dump'] = array( '#type' => 'submit', '#value' => 'Dump', '#submit' => array( 'ncbi_cache_files_dump'), ); return system_settings_form( $form ); } Then the functionality is in the callback: function ncbi_cache_files_dump( $p, $q) { //dpm( get_defined_vars() ); $outdir = $p['ncbi_cache_files']['#post']['ncbi_cache_files']; drupal_set_message('outdir: ' . $outdir ); } The question: Is this a decent way of processing an arbitrary form in Drupal? I not really need to listen for any drupal hooks, because I am basically just doing some URL and file processing. What are those arguments that I'm getting in the callback ($q)? That's the form array I guess, with the post values? Is this the best way to get the form parameters to work on? Thanks for any advice.

• Maven profile properties are not "overriding"

- by Nazar
I have Maven multi-module project with such structure: parent-pom-project -- module1 -- module2 At the parent-pom-project I have such pom.xml <modules> <module>module1</module> </modules> ... <profiles> <profile>
<properties> <prop>local_prop</prop> </properties> </profile> <profile>
<modules> <module>module2</module> </modules> <properties> <prop>test_prop</prop> </properties> </profile> </profiles> At all pom.xml files I have such tag: <build> <resources> <resource> <directory>src/main/resources</directory> <filtering>true</filtering> </resource> <resource> <directory>src/test/resources</directory> <filtering>true</filtering> </resource> </resources> </build> At module1 and module2 in resource directory I have properties files with such text: prop=${prop} The problem is that after mvn clean install or mvn clean install -Ptest or even mvn clean install -P test I get prop=local_prop If I user test profile for build module2 is also builded, but properties are used from local profile. • How do I use data from the main window in a sub-window?

- by eagle
I've just started working on a photo viewer type desktop AIR app with Flex. From the main window I can launch sub-windows, but in these sub-windows I can't seem to access the data I collected in the main window. How can I access this data? Or, how can I send this data to the sub-window on creation? It doesn't need to be dynamically linked. myMain.mxml <s:WindowedApplication xmlns:fx="http://ns.adobe.com/mxml/2009" xmlns:s="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/spark" xmlns:mx="library://ns.adobe.com/flex/mx" width="260" height="200" title="myMain"> <fx:Declarations> </fx:Declarations> <fx:Script> public function openWin():void { new myWindow().open(); } public var myData:Array = new Array('The Eiffel Tower','Paris','John Doe'); </fx:Script> <s:Button x="10" y="10" width="240" label="open a sub-window" click="openWin();"/> </s:WindowedApplication> myWindow.mxml <mx:Window name="myWindow" title="myWindow" xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute" width="640" height="360"> <mx:Script> </mx:Script> <mx:Label id="comment" x="10" y="10" text=""/> <mx:Label id="location" x="10" y="30" text=""/> <mx:Label id="author" x="10" y="50" text=""/> </mx:Window> I realize this might be a very easy question but I have searched the web, read and watched tutorials on random AIR subjects for a few days and couldn't find it. The risk of looking like a fool is worth it now, I want to get on with my first app!
