    When I try to read bash history into vim, I get nothing. :r !history If I just execute the command, i.e. :!history instead of history I get a snapshot of my terminal as it looked before I started vim.   • SVN client on windows without administrator rights

    I am trying to install an svn client on a friend's work windows laptop without much success. It seems that everyone is using TortoiseSVN nowadays, which unfortunately doesn't install without administrator access. Is there any way around it or another client I can try? I don't need anything fancy - just basic http/https, but a GUI is very much preferred over a command line client. Thanks!

  • pdflatex document to html

    I need to convert a bunch of pdflatex only documents (because of graphics-- .pdf's jpgs & pngs) to html. tex4ht is giving a bunch of garbage output. the documents are built using the \input command. Is there anything I can do to help tex4ht with a pdflatex document? I've looked at many converters (pandoc, hevea, tth, latex2rtf) but none of them can include my figures well. Is tex4ht my best bet?

Im a C# project the buld options allow you to mark it as a resource cusomt build command of: MSBuild:Compile I don't see it in the properties panel, so I tried to add it by hand to the project file myself... Any ideas? The application loads - the custom control has no output (but the code executes). Thanks

  • pdftotext can't find any of the files to convert when called within a python script

    i have a python script which keeps crashing on: subprocess.call(["pdftotext", pdf_filename]) the error being: OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory the absolute path to the filename (which i am storing in a log file as i debug) is fine; on the command line, if i type pdftotext <pdf_filename_goes_here> it works for any of the alledgedly bad file names. but when called using subprocess in python i keep getting that error. what is going on???

    I'm looking for a Java library that will can take a PDF and create a thumbnail image (PNG) from the first page. I've already looked at JPedal, but its insane licensing fee is completely prohibitive. I am using iText to manipulate PDF files at the moment, but I believe it doesn't do thumbnail generation. I can use something like Ghostscript on the command line, but I'm hoping to keep my project all-Java if possible.

    hi i am new to valgrind. I know how to run valgrind on executable files from command line. But how do you run valgrind on server processes like apache/myqld/traffic server etc .. I want to run valgrind on traffic server (http://incubator.apache.org/projects/trafficserver.html) to detect some memory leaks taking place in the plugin I have written.   • Can't use attached property on combobox inside hierarchical datatemplate WPF

    I'm hoping to use an attached property to assign a command to the selection changed event of a combobox that is embedded inside a treeview. I'm attempting to set the attached property inside the hierchical data template for the tree but the command is not set and does not fire when the item in the combobox is changed.     Hi I am writing my thesis in Latex, and I have the references in an own thesis.bib file which look as follows @Article{xxx, author = "D.A. Reinhard", title = "Case Study", year = "1985", } and I reference them in my main document as ~\cite{xxx} When I compile then the main document with: pdflatex main.tex than it shows me question marks instead of the proper references to the bibliography. Do I also need to compile the bib source on its own? If yes, can somebody please tell me the command for Linux Many thanks!

  • Need to replace HTML single-quote entity in MySQL

    Hi, I currently have the following MySQL statement to replace the HTML entity for a single quote with an actual single quote: update photo_galleries replace(title, '&#39;', '\''); This statement returns an error. I have tried adding additional backslashes, but this does not help at all. I want to run this command using pure SQL (no PHP, etc.). Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Thanks.
