I read your matter and I wonder did you resolve it? If you found out, let me know and give mail for me. My mail is [email protected]. Thanks much!

I've often read that in the Sun JVM short-lived objects ("relatively new objects") can be garbage collected more efficiently than long-lived objects ("relatively old objects")
Why is that so?
Is that specific to the Sun JVM or does this result from a general garbage collection principle?
byte[] binaryData = new Byte[pngStream.Length];
long bytesRead = pngStream.Read(binaryData, 0, (int)pngStream.Length);
string base64String = System.Convert.ToBase64String(binaryData,
0,
binaryData.Length);
I have a binary data in Byte array.
Does anybody know how to save this into any image file (png or jpg) in silverlight3 or c#?
Thanks
Hello everyone, I'm implementing a home screen app widget. I was wondering which is better to store/read data: SharedPreferences or a SQLite database? The data is accessed from an AppWidgetProvider (similar to a BroadcastReceiver), and any given instance of the widget displays different data based on appWidgetId. Is one way or the other frowned upon?
Thanks for your time.
When developing for android what are the benefits of using tabs to hold views or hold separate activities. I've read that both ways are better, but can't seem to find any good resources suggesting why or when to use each method.
I'm using Eclipse to write php and naturally I get color coding like all IDEs do.
How do I get the same effect in a blog?
See this example (scroll down to see the code colors), he has full colors, green, red, blue, pretty acceptable I'd say

Is there something that's standalone PHP that can achieve this, or do I need a plugin and install a CMS? I'd prefer standalone I guess if possible.
I generate htm files dynamically using php and .htaccess. I read somewhere that I should remove Etags for files of type text/html? Is that correct? I am wondering if I use etags and If i don't change the content, I could save some bandwidth. I would appreciate if you guys could tell me if I can use etags for htm files.
My checkbox column doesn't respond when ticked, apparently it was set to read only, so changing state back to false again will make it possible to tick. However, that will turn the whole edit mode to true. I tried to set edit mode to programatically while setting ReadOnly mode to false, but that will disable the checkbox back again.
How can I disable edit mode on all cells except checkbox column?
Hi,
I read at Scottgu blog about using OutputCache for a function but this didn't worked for me. How can I use [OutputCache(Duration=60)] for a function and can I add VaryByParam in this statement? Which namespace is required?
Hi all:
I was wondering how can I change the site URL of a SharePoint site that has already been created?
I can't do this since URL is a read-only field:
web.Url = "something";
Thanks.
Hi,
I am wondering, if I create a new HttpRequest, and put the content of a simple file inside this request, would I be able to read the content on the server side by aspx page? in other words would that be equivalent to upload control?
Thanks!
I own and have read most of this book, a while back. Now I'm about to embark on a pretty large project and was wanting a refresher. Anyone got a recommendation of something similar that has a focus on c#. I know the principles remain, but if only for my readability..
cheers
I am trying to use the select clause to pick out an object which matches a specified name field from a database query as follows:
objectQuery = from obj in objectList
where obj.Equals(objectName)
select obj;
In the results view of my query, I get:
base {System.SystemException} = {"Boolean Equals(System.Object)"}
Where I should be expecting something like a Car, Make, or Model
Would someone please explain what I am doing wrong here?
The method in question can be seen here:
// this function searches the database's table for a single object that matches the 'Name' property with 'objectName'
public static T Read<T>(string objectName) where T : IEquatable<T>
{
using (ISession session = NHibernateHelper.OpenSession())
{
IQueryable<T> objectList = session.Query<T>(); // pull (query) all the objects from the table in the database
int count = objectList.Count(); // return the number of objects in the table
// alternative: int count = makeList.Count<T>();
IQueryable<T> objectQuery = null; // create a reference for our queryable list of objects
T foundObject = default(T); // create an object reference for our found object
if (count > 0)
{
// give me all objects that have a name that matches 'objectName' and store them in 'objectQuery'
objectQuery = from obj in objectList
where obj.Equals(objectName)
select obj;
// make sure that 'objectQuery' has only one object in it
try
{
foundObject = (T)objectQuery.Single();
}
catch
{
return default(T);
}
// output some information to the console (output screen)
Console.WriteLine("Read Make: " + foundObject.ToString());
}
// pass the reference of the found object on to whoever asked for it
return foundObject;
}
}
Note that I am using the interface "IQuatable<T>" in my method descriptor.
An example of the classes I am trying to pull from the database is:
public class Make: IEquatable<Make>
{
public virtual int Id { get; set; }
public virtual string Name { get; set; }
public virtual IList<Model> Models { get; set; }
public Make()
{
// this public no-argument constructor is required for NHibernate
}
public Make(string makeName)
{
this.Name = makeName;
}
public override string ToString()
{
return Name;
}
// Implementation of IEquatable<T> interface
public virtual bool Equals(Make make)
{
if (this.Id == make.Id)
{
return true;
}
else
{
return false;
}
}
// Implementation of IEquatable<T> interface
public virtual bool Equals(String name)
{
if (this.Name.Equals(name))
{
return true;
}
else
{
return false;
}
}
}
And the interface is described simply as:
public interface IEquatable<T>
{
bool Equals(T obj);
}
Hi,
I am using C# to write/read to an Access 2007 Database. The table is
ID - AutoNumber [pkey]
Fname - Text
Lname - Text
Address - Text
The query string I Use is
"Insert into TblMain (Fname,Lname,Address) Values ('"+fname+"','"+lname+"','"+adrs+"')"
No errors are returned, the query executes but data is not added to the db.
Inserting to table using which does not have an autonumber data column works perfectly.
What am I missing?
I'm not sure if this is possible at the application layer. Can a program be written to read and analyze packets (maybe interfacing with wireshark through it's lua api) and ban MAC addresses with suspicious network traffic? (defining suspicious network traffic as packet injection patterns similar to known attacks)
So I read MSDN and Stack Overflow. I understand what the Action Delegate does in general but it is not clicking no matter how many examples I do. In general, the same goes for the idea of delegates. So here is my question. When you have a function like this:
public GetCustomers(Action<IEnumerable<Customer>,Exception> callBack)
{
}
What is this, and what should I pass to it?
I have a Word document which is several hundred pages long.
I would like to use a macro to automatically create about a dozen or so sub-documents based on certain rules (mainly, occurrence of certain strings in each Section).
Is this possible? What VBA functions should I read-up on? Does anybody know of any code examples which are even remotely similar and which I may be able to customize for my purposes?
Thanks
I would like a windows form app that will contain a UI, but I want it to run from the command line with some parameters possibly also a /hide or /visible=false option.
How is it possible to read in the command line parameters? And adjust accordingly?
We've been recording sound for over a decade using what seems like a very clunky method using the Winmm.dll and the MCIsendString.
I've read that this doesn't set the recording quality value correctly (not sure if that article was ever true or is still true).
I was wondering if there is any better way to record sound.
Hi there. I'm using Qt 4.6.2 and i have problem with QCSS. I have own Q_PROPERTY(QFont myFont READ myFont SET setMyFont). I want to change it with QCSS but it doesn't work. I've tried using normal font syntax but it doesn't work. I've also tried few other combinations like:
qproperty-myFont:
font(serif 20 1 0)
font(serif 20 bold)
QFont(serif 20 1 0)
QFont(serif 20 bold)
QFont(bold 20px serif)
etc.
How can I detect that the client side of a tomcat servlet request has disconnected? I've read that I should do a response.getOutputStream().print(), then a response.getOutputStream().flush() and catch an IOException, but is there a way I can detect this without writing any data?
Hello,
I'm looking for a good way to antialias a bitmap i'm generating with actionscript3. My goal would be to achieve this processing from scratch.
I read a lot on the subject but the most common algorithm are looking too loud to work properly within my swf, because i'm using a scale2x algorithm to smooth the edges of my shape. It doesn't have to be colorfull, since my shape is black and white !
Any hint would be appreciated, thanks :)
Hi all,
I'm working on a game in Java3D. I read all my level info from a file and it works fine. But now I want to re-initialize the scene from reading data from a different file.
How do I reset the scene?
Should I just destroy the whole canvas3D and universe objects?
According to Serializable javadoc, readResolve() is intended for replacing an object read from the stream. But is it OK to use it for restoring transient fields, like so:
private Object readResolve() {
transientField = something;
return this;
}
as opposed to using readObject():
private void readObject(ObjectInputStream s) {
s.defaultReadObject();
transientField = something;
}
Is there any reason to choose one over other, when used to just restore transient fields?
