• Can't install Ruby on Rails on Wamp

  I followed this tutorial: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2025449/how-to-install-ruby-on-rails-alongside-wampserver After adding D:\wamp\ruby\bin (my wamp folder is in D:) to my Path and write gem install rails in the command line I get 2 error which says that the following files couldn't be found: SSLEAY32.dll zlib.dll Here is the screenshot:

• Running cUrl cmd from Win7 doesn't work, but on Linux it does.

  Like the title says. I'm sending a simple cUrl cmd from Win7 to CouchDB on my Linux box, and it doesn't work. But if I run the same command in Linux, it works. I'm sending this: curl -X POST 192.168.2.5:5984/test/testdoc -d '{"owner":{"fname":"test","lname":"ing"}}' From windows, it keeps giving me a "error: bad request, reason:invalid UTF-8 JSON". I can run GET commands from windows just fine, I just can't seem to POST to CouchDB.

Is there an existing library for .net which provides this type of functionality? I guess one option would be to use interop services to call GNU readline. But is there a native option?

• remote desktop computer viewer?

  I would like to install a quad core computer in my dorm at college and use my much slower laptop to be able to control the quad core just as if I had a quad core laptop (control as in i see the gui, not command line control)! Both are on the same college network, though Im also interested in what would be necessary if the computers were on different networks. What would be the best method fot this? I want to be able to select a file (similar to in html) and then show some sort of dialogue that allows me to browse to a "folder" and select the file. It would then be up to me to send some sort of AJAX command to upload it to the server (where I am using Asp.net MVC 2) Since I do not have access to an iPhone or iPad, I was told that I would only have access to the documents folder. • PHPUnit + Maven for PHP - setUpBeforeClass() not called

  When running the "mvn test" command, the PHPUnit tests are run. The problem I have is that the setUpBeforeClass() method within a test class is not called when running the tests from maven. Does anybody know the problem? I use the last version of PHPUnit (3.3.9) available on repositories.

  I can't figure out how to check from within C/C++ if a service is enabled via launchd. I know I can use launchctl from the command line and am currently executing ' launchctl list myServiceName ' from fork/exec. I've found that boostrap_look_up() might be the way to check this but I can't find enough documentation to condense this down to a simple example. Can you shed light on this? All I need is a small function to test if my service is actually registered and available.

  GoogleAppEngineLauncher can display the local log file of my app while it is running on my Mac during development. However, I can't change the font size there so I would like to use the tail command to watch the log file myself. It's a shame but I can't find the log files. They are not under /var/log/, ~/Library/Logs or /Library/Logs. Do you know where they are?
