  • How to build a widget for my website

    Hey guys I'm very new to the whole programming - so far I only have experience with building websites, database etc. I currently have a website where users can share their online purchases. I want to build a widget that other websites can integrate on their site. Users should be able to insert their purchases directly through this widget without having to come to my website. Thats the idea but I have no idea how to go about it - can anyone point me in the right direction. Thanks

    We have a managed COM addin for Outlook works flawlessly on a real machine now using VMWare 6.05 I think whe we try and install our addin OL refuses to load us and we keeo seeing a message( when we go to the manage addins dialog) saying a runtime error occurred when loading the COM component Nothing on event viewer We are seeing this on images of Office 2003 and 2007 anyone ever run into something like this where VMWare images are causing issues with OL addins

  • Whats the best way to design this database scenario?

    I want to setup 2 MySQL databases which differ in schema in that, one is normalized and the other is flat for quicker reads and writes. The information being stored in both DBs is the same, but the representation is obviously different owing to the different design approaches. I need to find a robust solution to sync information in real time from my normalized version to my flatter version.

    Hey guys, We're getting a QA for the first time in our project. We're not sure how to best use him. We work in an Agile environment. Pair programming, user stories, short sprints (two weeks), daily stand-ups, retrospectives, planning meetings, quick releases etc. One obviously way to use a tester is to verify bugs fixes and user stories every sprint. From which i am learning object C. Its showing XCode with these templates for Mac OS --Application --Audio Units --Automater actions --Bundles --Command Line Utility --dynamic library --Framework --Java --Kernal Extensions --Standard Apple plugin --Static Library --Other I need the Command Line Utility template so that can create sample projects mentioned in book.

  • What's the actual windows media player maximum banner width?

    When looking at the documentation for the banner tag in windows media metafiles all the documentation says there is a maximum size of 194 x 32 pixels. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd562478(v=VS.85).aspx However, when experimenting with larger images they seem to be displaying correctly. Is there some real undocumented limitation here? Will it get cut off on different/older versions?

    I've used a few F/OSS libraries in my commercial application. As per their licenses, I am obligated to include their source codes along with my VS2008 application. This is my first time making a "real" commercial application, and I would appreciate some advice on how best to go about including their source codes. I don't want to package them as zip files alongside my installed. I still want my installer to be a single file.

  • Trying to write junit test missing some basisc

    When I try to use assertNotLesser or assertNotGreater I get compile error .. and eclipse suggest me to create a new method called like this .. http://junit-addons.sourceforge.net/junitx/framework/ComparableAssert.html I found it here I never used these options before but I need to write this test, I can do it jmock as well but I don't know how .. I need to compare my expected results let say 0, if the real result is greater that the test should fail.

  • How do I mount a remote Linux folder in Windows through SSH?

    I'm a blind student currently in a system admin/shell programming class. Although ssh works fine for executing commands like ls, pwd, etc editors do not work well with my screen reader and an ssh session. I was wondering if it is possible to mount a Linux folder over ssh so it appears as a windows drive? This way I could edit any files I needed to with accessible software and not have to constantly use SCP to send files back and fourth.

  • Trimming GIT Checkins/Squashing GIT History

    I check my code into a GIT branch every few minutes or so, and the comments end up being things like "Everything broken starting again" and other absurdities. Then every few minutes/hours/days I do a serious checkin with a real comment like, "Fixed bug #22.55, 3rd time." How can I separate these two concepts? I would like to be able to remove all my frequent-checkins and just leave the serious ones.

    Is there a way to capture the screen but without the app itself getting shown. I know how to minimize or make a frame invisible but this has to be done real fast cos it's going to happen alot in each second (at least once every second).     When programming, I would like to split one large file(which contains main function) to many small files, so there is one common case: functions in small files can modify the var from main file, so i think extern is very useful! for instance: in main.c extern int i = 100; in small.c extern int i; fprintf(stdout, "var from main file: %d\n", i); I just want to know is my understanding right?
