  • Regex for tollfree numbers in java

    - by arinte
    I have this regex to test for telephone # that should be a toll free. public static final Pattern patternTollFree = Pattern.compile("^((877)|(800)|(866)|(888))"); So I only want to get those # where the user may have left the 1 off of the front of the string, but I have tried several things and I can't get java to match. public String changeRingTo( String changedRinger ) { if ( null == changedRinger || changedRinger.length() != 10) return changedRinger; if ( patternTollFree.matcher(changedRinger).region(0, 2).matches() ) changedRinger = '1' + changedRinger; return changedRinger; } I can't get this 2nd test case below to succeed. What am I doing wrong? assertEquals( "Regex not working", "8189091000", of.changeRingTo("8189091000")); assertEquals( "Regex not working", "18769091000", of.changeRingTo("8769091000"));

  • Js constants with variables inside.

    - by johnnyArt
    I know I'm able to this in PHP, but I can't remember the name or the way to do it, so I'll just explain what it is, and when someone tells me how it's called I'll update this question. I have some error messages defined as constants on javascript, however, some of those messages need to contain dynamic part as in the following example. "The username must be between 4 and 20 characters" In php, If I'm not mistaken there was some option for storing that string in a way that when called it would replace the variables with the data provided on the call. I want to do that on javascript, something like: config['string',vars] And have javascript insert those vars inside the string so it's customized. Wow, this must be the worst question I've made! I'm sorry for the lack of information, I'm kinda braindead on Sundays.

  • Avoiding Agnostic Jagged Array Flattening in Powershell

    - by matejhowell
    Hello, I'm running into an interesting problem in Powershell, and haven't been able to find a solution to it. When I google (and find things like this post), nothing quite as involved as what I'm trying to do comes up, so I thought I'd post the question here. The problem has to do with multidimensional arrays with an outer array length of one. It appears Powershell is very adamant about flattening arrays like @( @('A') ) becomes @( 'A' ). Here is the first snippet (prompt is , btw): > $a = @( @( 'Test' ) ) > $a.gettype().isarray True > $a[0].gettype().isarray False So, I'd like to have $a[0].gettype().isarray be true, so that I can index the value as $a[0][0] (the real world scenario is processing dynamic arrays inside of a loop, and I'd like to get the values as $a[$i][$j], but if the inner item is not recognized as an array but as a string (in my case), you start indexing into the characters of the string, as in $a[0][0] -eq 'T'). I have a couple of long code examples, so I have posted them at the end. And, for reference, this is on Windows 7 Ultimate with PSv2 and PSCX installed. Consider code example 1: I build a simple array manually using the += operator. Intermediate array $w is flattened, and consequently is not added to the final array correctly. I have found solutions online for similar problems, which basically involve putting a comma before the inner array to force the outer array to not flatten, which does work, but again, I'm looking for a solution that can build arrays inside a loop (a jagged array of arrays, processing a CSS file), so if I add the leading comma to the single element array (implemented as intermediate array $y), I'd like to do the same for other arrays (like $z), but that adversely affects how $z is added to the final array. Now consider code example 2: This is closer to the actual problem I am having. When a multidimensional array with one element is returned from a function, it is flattened. It is correct before it leaves the function. And again, these are examples, I'm really trying to process a file without having to know if the function is going to come back with @( @( 'color', 'black') ) or with @( @( 'color', 'black'), @( 'background-color', 'white') ) Has anybody encountered this, and has anybody resolved this? I know I can instantiate framework objects, and I'm assuming everything will be fine if I create an object[], or a list<, or something else similar, but I've been dealing with this for a little bit and something sure seems like there has to be a right way to do this (without having to instantiate true framework objects). Code Example 1 function Display($x, [int]$indent, [string]$title) { if($title -ne '') { write-host "$title`: " -foregroundcolor cyan -nonewline } if(!$x.GetType().IsArray) { write-host "'$x'" -foregroundcolor cyan } else { write-host '' $s = new-object string(' ', $indent) for($i = 0; $i -lt $x.length; $i++) { write-host "$s[$i]: " -nonewline -foregroundcolor cyan Display $x[$i] $($indent+1) } } if($title -ne '') { write-host '' } } ### Start Program $final = @( @( 'a', 'b' ), @('c')) Display $final 0 'Initial Value' ### How do we do this part ??? ########### ## $w = @( @('d', 'e') ) ## $x = @( @('f', 'g'), @('h') ) ## # But now $w is flat, $w.length = 2 ## ## ## # Even if we put a leading comma (,) ## # in front of the array, $y will work ## # but $w will not. This can be a ## # problem inside a loop where you don't ## # know the length of the array, and you ## # need to put a comma in front of ## # single- and multidimensional arrays. ## $y = @( ,@('D', 'E') ) ## $z = @( ,@('F', 'G'), @('H') ) ## ## ## ########################################## $final += $w $final += $x $final += $y $final += $z Display $final 0 'Final Value' ### Desired final value: @( @('a', 'b'), @('c'), @('d', 'e'), @('f', 'g'), @('h'), @('D', 'E'), @('F', 'G'), @('H') ) ### As in the below: # # Initial Value: # [0]: # [0]: 'a' # [1]: 'b' # [1]: # [0]: 'c' # # Final Value: # [0]: # [0]: 'a' # [1]: 'b' # [1]: # [0]: 'c' # [2]: # [0]: 'd' # [1]: 'e' # [3]: # [0]: 'f' # [1]: 'g' # [4]: # [0]: 'h' # [5]: # [0]: 'D' # [1]: 'E' # [6]: # [0]: 'F' # [1]: 'G' # [7]: # [0]: 'H' Code Example 2 function Display($x, [int]$indent, [string]$title) { if($title -ne '') { write-host "$title`: " -foregroundcolor cyan -nonewline } if(!$x.GetType().IsArray) { write-host "'$x'" -foregroundcolor cyan } else { write-host '' $s = new-object string(' ', $indent) for($i = 0; $i -lt $x.length; $i++) { write-host "$s[$i]: " -nonewline -foregroundcolor cyan Display $x[$i] $($indent+1) } } if($title -ne '') { write-host '' } } function funA() { $ret = @() $temp = @(0) $temp[0] = @('p', 'q') $ret += $temp Display $ret 0 'Inside Function A' return $ret } function funB() { $ret = @( ,@('r', 's') ) Display $ret 0 'Inside Function B' return $ret } ### Start Program $z = funA Display $z 0 'Return from Function A' $z = funB Display $z 0 'Return from Function B' ### Desired final value: @( @('p', 'q') ) and same for r,s ### As in the below: # # Inside Function A: # [0]: # [0]: 'p' # [1]: 'q' # # Return from Function A: # [0]: # [0]: 'p' # [1]: 'q' Thanks, Matt

  • OpenID on Google not returning anything

    - by PlayKid
    Hi there, For some reason, the following code does not return anything: string alias = response.FriendlyIdentifierForDisplay; var sreg = response.GetExtension<ClaimsResponse>(); if (sreg != null && sreg.MailAddress != null) { alias = sreg.MailAddress.User; } if (sreg != null && !string.IsNullOrEmpty(sreg.Email)) { alias = sreg.Email; } if (sreg != null && !string.IsNullOrEmpty(sreg.FullName)) { alias = sreg.FullName; } I was hoping I can get the Email from Yahoo or Google, but sreg just return null whichever provider I have chosen. I saw some of other posts that this code should return an e-mail at least, but for me, it does not, please assist. Thanks alot

  • casting raw strings python

    - by dave
    in python, given a variable which holds a string is there a quick way to cast that into another raw string variable? the following code should illustrate what im after... def checkEqual(x, y): print True if x==y else False line1 = "hurr..\n..durr" line2 = r"hurr..\n..durr" line3 = "%r"%line1 print "%s \n\n%s \n\n%s \n" % (line1, line2, line3) checkEqual(line2, line3) #outputs False checkEqual(line2, line3[1:-1]) #outputs True The closest I have found so far is the %r formatting flag which seems to return a raw string albeit within single quote marks. Is there any easier way to do this like a line3 = raw(line1) kind of thing?

  • Shorten array length once element is remove in Java.

    - by lupin
    Note: Following is my homework/assignment, feel free not to answer if you will. I want to delete/remove an element from an String array(Set) basic, I'm not allowed to use Collections..etc. Now I have this: void remove(String newValue) { for ( int i = 0; i < setElements.length; i++) { if ( setElements[i] == newValue ) { setElements[i] = ""; } } } I does what I want as it remove the element from an array but it doesn't shorten the length. The following is the output, basically it remove the element indexed #1. D:\javaprojects>java SetsDemo Enter string element to be added A You entered A Set size is: 5 Member elements on index: 0 A Member elements on index: 1 b Member elements on index: 2 hello Member elements on index: 3 world Member elements on index: 4 six Set size is: 5 Member elements on index: 0 A Member elements on index: 1 Member elements on index: 2 hello Member elements on index: 3 world Member elements on index: 4 six lupin

    Hi all, I started working with delegates last week and i am trying to update my gridview async on the background. All goes well, no errors or such but i dont get a result after my EndInvoke. does anyone know what i am doing wrong? Here is a code snippet: public delegate string WebServiceDelegate(DataKey key); protected void btnCheckAll_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { foreach (DataKey key in gvTest.DataKeys) { WebServiceDelegate wsDelegate = new WebServiceDelegate(GetWebserviceStatus); wsDelegate.BeginInvoke(key, new AsyncCallback(UpdateWebserviceStatus), wsDelegate); } } public string GetWebserviceStatus(DataKey key) { return String.Format("Updated {0}", key.Value); } public void UpdateWebserviceStatus(IAsyncResult result) { WebServiceDelegate wsDelegate = (WebServiceDelegate)result.AsyncState; Label lblUpdate = (Label)gvTest.Rows[Convert.ToInt32(key.Value)].FindControl("lblUpdate"); lblUpdate.Text = wsDelegate.EndInvoke(result); }

  • HTML + CSS dynamic render in flash?

    - by Ole Jak
    I have HTML + CSS text. I need some lib with simple function like "Render String Var conteining HTML" So no external files (like in flash lib called HTMLwraper you just have to play your SWF on top of HTML). dinamic! I give it string it renders It into some conteiner (not as a bitmab but as if it was real HTML dynamically rendered in flash). (And I need real HTML + CSS support not what normal rich text block gives us) I am going to use it in with Flex (Flash Builder) so I like MXML component model but even pure flash AS3 will workout. It should be Free and Opensource (any license like GPL, LGPL etc will be ok). So Is out there such flash\flex library for HTML + CSS dynamic rendering (rfom given String or XML)?

  • Java: Last access of 2D HashMap

    - by JamieFlowers
    I have the following structure: HashMap< String, HashMap< String, String Now i want to know the last accessed element in the 2nd dimension. I know there is TreeMap which makes sense in the 1rst dimension but after that it doesn't make any sense. How can I keep track of a 2D HashMap ordering? With access i mean: value = hashmap.get("a").get("1") value = hashmap.get("b").get("2") value = hashmap.get("c").get("3") hashmap.removeLast(); hashmap.removeLast(); hashmap.removeLast();

  • Recursion problem in C

    - by jake
    Hi there. I've been trying to solve this problem for a few days now but it seems I haven't grasped the concept of recursion,yet. I have to build a program in C (recursion is a must here but loops are allowed as well) which does the following: The user inputs 2 different strings.For example: String 1 - ABC String 2 - DE The program is supposed to print strings which are combined of the ones the user has entered. the rule is that the inner order of the letters in each string (1&2) must remain. That's the output for string1=ABC & string2=DE ": abcde abdce abdec adbce adbec adebc dabce dabec daebc deabc If anyone could give me a hand here, it would be great. Thanks guys.

  • Parsing "true" and "false" using Boost.Spirit.Lex and Boost.Spirit.Qi

    - by Andrew Ross
    As the first stage of a larger grammar using Boost.Spirit I'm trying to parse "true" and "false" to produce the corresponding bool values, true and false. I'm using Spirit.Lex to tokenize the input and have a working implementation for integer and floating point literals (including those expressed in a relaxed scientific notation), exposing int and float attributes. Token definitions #include <boost/spirit/include/lex_lexertl.hpp> namespace lex = boost::spirit::lex; typedef boost::mpl::vector<int, float, bool> token_value_type; template <typename Lexer> struct basic_literal_tokens : lex::lexer<Lexer> { basic_literal_tokens() { this->self.add_pattern("INT", "[-+]?[0-9]+"); int_literal = "{INT}"; // To be lexed as a float a numeric literal must have a decimal point // or include an exponent, otherwise it will be considered an integer. float_literal = "{INT}(((\\.[0-9]+)([eE]{INT})?)|([eE]{INT}))"; literal_true = "true"; literal_false = "false"; this->self = literal_true | literal_false | float_literal | int_literal; } lex::token_def<int> int_literal; lex::token_def<float> float_literal; lex::token_def<bool> literal_true, literal_false; }; Testing parsing of float literals My real implementation uses Boost.Test, but this is a self-contained example. #include <string> #include <iostream> #include <cmath> #include <cstdlib> #include <limits> bool parse_and_check_float(std::string const & input, float expected) { typedef std::string::const_iterator base_iterator_type; typedef lex::lexertl::token<base_iterator_type, token_value_type > token_type; typedef lex::lexertl::lexer<token_type> lexer_type; basic_literal_tokens<lexer_type> basic_literal_lexer; base_iterator_type input_iter(input.begin()); float actual; bool result = lex::tokenize_and_parse(input_iter, input.end(), basic_literal_lexer, basic_literal_lexer.float_literal, actual); return result && std::abs(expected - actual) < std::numeric_limits<float>::epsilon(); } int main(int argc, char *argv[]) { if (parse_and_check_float("+31.4e-1", 3.14)) { return EXIT_SUCCESS; } else { return EXIT_FAILURE; } } Parsing "true" and "false" My problem is when trying to parse "true" and "false". This is the test code I'm using (after removing the Boost.Test parts): bool parse_and_check_bool(std::string const & input, bool expected) { typedef std::string::const_iterator base_iterator_type; typedef lex::lexertl::token<base_iterator_type, token_value_type > token_type; typedef lex::lexertl::lexer<token_type> lexer_type; basic_literal_tokens<lexer_type> basic_literal_lexer; base_iterator_type input_iter(input.begin()); bool actual; lex::token_def<bool> parser = expected ? basic_literal_lexer.literal_true : basic_literal_lexer.literal_false; bool result = lex::tokenize_and_parse(input_iter, input.end(), basic_literal_lexer, parser, actual); return result && actual == expected; } but compilation fails with: boost/spirit/home/qi/detail/assign_to.hpp: In function ‘void boost::spirit::traits::assign_to(const Iterator&, const Iterator&, Attribute&) [with Iterator = __gnu_cxx::__normal_iterator<const char*, std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> > >, Attribute = bool]’: boost/spirit/home/lex/lexer/lexertl/token.hpp:434: instantiated from ‘static void boost::spirit::traits::assign_to_attribute_from_value<Attribute, boost::spirit::lex::lexertl::token<Iterator, AttributeTypes, HasState>, void>::call(const boost::spirit::lex::lexertl::token<Iterator, AttributeTypes, HasState>&, Attribute&) [with Attribute = bool, Iterator = __gnu_cxx::__normal_iterator<const char*, std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> > >, AttributeTypes = boost::mpl::vector<int, float, bool, mpl_::na, mpl_::na, mpl_::na, mpl_::na, mpl_::na, mpl_::na, mpl_::na, mpl_::na, mpl_::na, mpl_::na, mpl_::na, mpl_::na, mpl_::na, mpl_::na, mpl_::na, mpl_::na, mpl_::na>, HasState = mpl_::bool_<true>]’ ... backtrace of instantiation points .... boost/spirit/home/qi/detail/assign_to.hpp:79: error: no matching function for call to ‘boost::spirit::traits::assign_to_attribute_from_iterators<bool, __gnu_cxx::__normal_iterator<const char*, std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> > >, void>::call(const __gnu_cxx::__normal_iterator<const char*, std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> > >&, const __gnu_cxx::__normal_iterator<const char*, std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> > >&, bool&)’ boost/spirit/home/qi/detail/construct.hpp:64: note: candidates are: static void boost::spirit::traits::assign_to_attribute_from_iterators<bool, Iterator, void>::call(const Iterator&, const Iterator&, char&) [with Iterator = __gnu_cxx::__normal_iterator<const char*, std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> > >] My interpretation of this is that Spirit.Qi doesn't know how to convert a string to a bool - surely that's not the case? Has anyone else done this before? If so, how?

  • Python - do big doc strings waste memory?

    - by orokusaki
    I understand that in Python a string is simply an expression and a string by itself would be garbage collected immediately upon return of control to a code's caller, but... Large class/method doc strings in your code: do they waste memory by building the string objects up? Module level doc strings: are they stored infinitely by the interpreter? Does this even matter? My only concern came from the idea that if I'm using a large framework like Django, or multiple large open source libraries, they tend to be very well documented with potentially multiple megabytes of text. In these cases are the doc strings loaded into memory for code that's used along the way, and then kept there, or is it collected immediately like normal strings?

  • UriBuilder incorrectly encoding Query Parameters value ?

    - by Fred
    Lets consider the following code sample where a path and single parameter are encoded... Parameter name: "param" Parameter value: "foo/bar?aaa=bbb&ccc=ddd" (happens to be a url with query parameters) String test = UriBuilder.fromPath("https://dummy.com"). queryParam("param", "foo/bar?aaa=bbb&ccc=ddd"). build().toURL().toString(); The encoded URL string returned is: "https://dummy.com?param=foo/bar?aaa%3Dbbb&ccc%3Dddd" Is this correct ? Should not the character "&" (and may be even "?") be encoded in the parameter value string ? Would not the URL produced be interpreted as follow: One first parameter, name="param", value = "ar?aaa%3Dbbb" followed by a second parameter, name="ccc%3Dddd", without value.

  • Date only from TextBoxFor()

    Hello, I'm having trouble displaying the only date part of a datetime into a textbox using TextBoxFor<,(expression, htmlAttributes). The model is based on Linq2SQL, field is a DateTime on SQL and in the Entity model. Failed : <%= Html.TextBoxFor(model => model.dtArrivalDate, String.Format("{0:dd/MM/yyyy}", Model.dtArrivalDate))%> Ps : this trick seems to be depreciated, any string value in the object htmlAttribute is ignored. Failed : [DisplayFormat( DataFormatString= "{0:dd/MM/yyyy}" )] public string dtArrivalDate { get; set; } I would like to store and display the date part only on the details/edit view without the "00:00:00" part. Any idea please ? Merry Chrismas from France to all by the way ;-)

  • Module autoloader in ZF

    - by ChrisRamakers
    The manual on Zend_Application_Module_Autoloader states the following: When using module bootstraps with Zend_Application, an instance of Zend_Application_Module_Autoloader will be created by default for each discrete module, allowing you to autoload module resources. Source: http://framework.zend.com/manual/zh/zend.loader.autoloader-resource.html#zend.loader.autoloader-resource.module This requires me to create an empty bootstrap class for each of my modules or else resource autoloading per module won't work with the build-in autoloader. Now I have two questions What is a discrete module? Is there a way to have this resource autoloader registered by default for each module without the need to create a bootstrap file for each module? I want it available in each module and creating so many empty bootstrap classes is something i'd rather prevent.

In Qt4, I'm initializing the printer in the main.cpp in the following way: mw->printer = new QPrinter(QPrinter::HighResolution); mw->printer->setPaperSize(QPrinter::A5); mw->printer->setNumCopies(2); mw->printer->setColorMode(QPrinter::GrayScale); QPrintDialog *dialog = new QPrintDialog(mw->printer, mw); dialog->setWindowTitle(QObject::tr("Printer Setup")); if (dialog->exec() == QDialog::Accepted) { mw->printer->setFullPage(TRUE); return a.exec (); } This works fine for printing the first document from the application: qDebug("Printing"); QPainter p; if (!p.begin(printer)) { qDebug("Printing aborted"); return; } Q3PaintDeviceMetrics metrics(p.device()); int dpiy = metrics.logicalDpiY(); int dpix = metrics.logicalDpiX(); int tmargin = (int) ((marginTop / 2.54) * dpiy); int bmargin = (int) ((marginBottom / 2.54) * dpiy); int lmargin = (int) ((marginLeft / 2.54) * dpix); int rmargin = (int) ((marginRight / 2.54) * dpix); QRect body(lmargin, tmargin, metrics.width() - (lmargin + rmargin), metrics.height() - (tmargin + bmargin)); QString document; /* ... app logic to write a richtext document */ Q3SimpleRichText richText(QString("<qt>%1</qt>").arg(document), QFont("Arial", fontSize)); richText.setWidth(&p, body.width()); QRect view(body); int page = 1; do { // draw text richText.draw(&p, body.left(), body.top(), view, colorGroup()); view.moveBy(0, body.height()); p.translate(0, -body.height()); // insert page number p.drawText(view.right() - p.fontMetrics().width(QString::number(page)), view.bottom() + p.fontMetrics().ascent() + 5, QString::number(page)); // exit loop on last page if (view.top () >= richText.height ()) break; printer->newPage(); page++; } while (TRUE); if (!p.end()) qDebug("Print painter yielded failure"); But when this routine runs the second time, it does not print the document. It will just print an empty page but still with the page number on it. This worked fine before with Qt3.

  • MFC CTreeCtrl max visible item text length

    - by Steven smethurst
    Hello I have an application that outputs large amounts of text data to an MFC tree control. When I call SetItemText() with a long string (larger then 1000+ char) only the first ~250 chars are displayed in the control. But when I call GetItemText() on the item the entire string is returned (1000+ chars) My questions are; Is there a MAX visible string length for a MFC tree control? Is there any way to increase the visible limit? I have included example text code below // In header CTreeCtrl m_Tree; // In .cpp file void CTestDlg::OnDiagnosticsDebug() { CString csText; CString csItemText; csText.Format( _T("0123456789012345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890123456789012345678901234567890123456789") ); for( int i = 0 ; i < 10 ; i ++ ) { csItemText += csText ; } bool b = m_Tree.SetItemText( m_Tree.GetRootItem(), csItemText ); return ; }
