  • Powershell Replace Regex

    - by Brad
    I have a select-string which is seaching an IIS log for a particular string and returning the 2 lines above and one line below. So results look like this: 2012-06-15 18:26:09 98.138.206.39 OutboundConnectionResponse SMTPSVC1 WEB10 - 25 - - 220+mta1083.sbc.mail.ne1.yahoo.com+ESMTP+YSmtp+service+ready 0 0 60 0 218 SMTP - - - - 2012-06-15 18:26:09 98.138.206.39 OutboundConnectionCommand SMTPSVC1 WEB10 - 25 EHLO - WEB10.DOMAINCOM 0 0 4 0 218 SMTP - - - - 2012-06-15 18:26:09 74.125.244.10 OutboundConnectionResponse SMTPSVC1 WEB10 - 25 - - 550+IP+Authorization+check+failed+-+psmtp 0 0 41 0 218 SMTP - - - - 2012-06-15 18:26:09 74.125.244.10 OutboundConnectionCommand SMTPSVC1 WEB10 - 25 RSET - - 0 0 4 0 218 SMTP - - - - Note the third line begins with denoting thats the line that select-string matched upon. I am trying to do a -replace on the to replace it with < font color="red"$1< /font but my replace doesn't seem to work. Here's my code: $results = $results -replace "(^ )(.*)$", "< font color='red'$1< font" Can any powershell regex guru's out there tell me why my regular expression isn't matching? Thanks Brad

  • Custom "Very Long Int" Division Issue

    - by befall
Hey everyone, So, for a very silly project in C++, we are making our own long integer class, called VLI (Very Long Int). The way it works (they backboned it, blame them for stupidity) is this: User inputs up to 50 digits, which are input as string. String is stored in pre-made Sequence class, which stores the string in an array, in reverse order. That means, when "1234" is input, it gets stored as [4|3|2|1]. So, my question is this: How can I go about doing division using only these arrays of chars? If the input answer is over 32 digits, I can't use ints to check for stuff, and they basically saying using long ints here is cheating. Any input is welcome, and I can give more clarification if need be, thanks everyone.

  • Beginner Java Question about Integer.parseInt() and casting

    - by happysoul
so when casting like in the statement below :- int randomNumber=(int) (Math.random()*5) it causes the random no. generated to get converted into an int.. Also there's this method I just came across Integer.parseInt() which does the same ! i.e return an integer Why two different ways to make a value an int ? Also I made a search and it says parseInt() takes string as an argument.. So does this mean that parseInt() is ONLY to convert String into integer ? What about this casting then (int) ?? Can we use this to convert a string to an int too ? sorry if it sounds like a dumb question..I am just confused and trying to understand Help ?

  • Handling Session ID with Spring

    - by Max
Hi, I'm trying to build a Spring server for GWT (you can think of it as of Javascript AJAX client). But I can't decide on one point of architecture. How should session be created and used? The obvious easiest way - is to use HTTP sessions (cookies and stuff). Looks fine, but I think that sending session ID separate from the headers would be better (SOAP style). So, what is better: getMyPetsName(String sessionID, int petID) or getMyPetsName(int petID) + session ID through HTTP header (cookies or something). Another question is, if I use the first way (which I like more) - how do I handle session in Spring? I'm really newbie in Spring, and googling did not help. What I mean is: String getMyPetsName(String sessionID, int petID) { Session s = someWayToGetItById(sessionID); } Thanks in advance.

  • How do I make this ASP.NET MVC controller more testable?

    - by Ragesh
I have a controller that overrides OnActionExecuting and does something like this: protected override void OnActionExecuting(ActionExecutingContext filterContext) { base.OnActionExecuting(filterContext); string tenantDomain = filterContext.RouteData.Values["tenantDomain"] as string; if (!string.IsNullOrWhiteSpace(tenantDomain)) { using (var tx = BeginTransaction()) { this.Tenant = repo.FindOne(t => t.Domain == tenantDomain); } } } Tenant is a protected property with a private setter. The class itself is an abstract base controller that my real controllers derive from. I have code in other controllers that looks a lot like this: if (Tenant == null) { // Do something } else { // Do something else } How do I test this code? What I need to do is to somehow set the Tenant property, but I can't because: It's a protected property, and It has a private setter Changing the visibility of Tenant doesn't "feel" right. What are my alternatives to unit test my derived controllers?

  • Caching Web UserControl by Propety is not working (Grr!)

    - by PapillonUK
Here's my code behind: <PartialCaching(60, Nothing, "UsrCtl_WebUserControl.CacheString", Nothing, True)> _ Partial Class UsrCtl_WebUserControl Inherits System.Web.UI.UserControl Private _CacheString As String Public Property CacheString() As String Get Return _CacheString End Get Set(ByVal value As String) _CacheString = value End Set End Property End Class Here's the user control embedded in a page: <uc:wuc ID="wuc" runat="server" CacheString="A" /> And in another page: <uc:wuc ID="wuc" runat="server" CacheString="B" /> According to the docs this control should maintain a different, 60 second cached version for each value of the CacheString property. It doesn't work - it caches for 60 seconds, but only one cached copy is created regardless of what I put in the CacheString property. Anyone any ideas what i'm doing wrong? - After 4 hours of this I have no hair or nails left - please save my monitor from the brick.

  • How do you get the logical xor of two variables in Python?

    - by Zach Hirsch
How do you get the logical xor of two variables in Python? For example, I have two variables that I expect to be strings. I want to test that only one of them contains a True value (is not None or the empty string): str1 = raw_input("Enter string one:") str2 = raw_input("Enter string two:") if logical_xor(str1, str2): print "ok" else: print "bad" The ^ operator seems to be bitwise, and not defined on all objects: >>> 1 ^ 1 0 >>> 2 ^ 1 3 >>> "abc" ^ "" Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> TypeError: unsupported operand type(s) for ^: 'str' and 'str'

  • Python appengine Query does not work when using a variable.

    - by Lloyd
Hi, I am trying to use a fetcher method to retrieve items from my datastore. If I use the following def getItem(item_id): q = Item.all() q.filter("itemid = ", item_id) It fails because nothing is returned. If I hard code in an item like def getItem(item_id): q = Item.all() q.filter("itemid = ", 9000) it fetches just fine, and sings merrily along. I have tried every which way to get this to work. I have used result = db.GqlQuery("SELECT * FROM Item WHERE item_id = :1 LIMIT 1", title).fetch(1) to the same effect. If I hard code in a number, works fine. I have tried setting the select statement as a local string, assembling it that way, casting the int as a string, and nothing. When I output the SELECT statement to the screen, looks fine. I can cut ans paste the output into the string, and whammo, it works. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Is this class + constructor definition pattern overly redundant?

    - by Protector one
I often come across a pattern similar to this: class Person { public string firstName, lastName; public Person(string firstName, string lastName) { this.firstName = firstName; this.lastName = lastName; } } This feels overly redundant (I imagine typing "firstName" once, instead of thrice could be enough…), but I can't think of a proper alternative. Any ideas? Maybe I just don't know about a certain design pattern I should be using here? Edit - I think I need to elaborate a little. I'm not asking how to make the example code "better", but rather, "shorter". In its current state, all member names appear 3 times (declaration, initialization, constructor arguments), and it feels rather redundant. So I'm wondering if there is a pattern (or semantic sugar) to get (roughly) the same behavior, but with less bloat. I apologize for being unclear initially.

  • Reading data from database and binding them to custom ListView

    - by N.K.
I try to read data from a database i have made and to show some of the data in a row at a custom ListView. I can not understand what is my mistake. • How to avoid automatic renaming of sub signature parameters in visual basic 6.

    - by systempuntoout
In Visual basic 6, i declare a sub like this: Private Sub test1(ByRef XmlFooOutput As String) ... End Sub after that, i declare another sub like the following one: Private Sub test2(ByRef xmlFooOutput As String) ... End Sub automagically, the first method is transformed in: Private Sub test1(ByVal xmlFooOutput As String) ... End Sub so the XmlFooOutput parameter is transformed in xmlFooOutput. This is a pretty dangerous feature because, method like those could be mapped to different XSL presentation files that read XML values through Xpath. So when test1 parameter is renamed, XSL bound to test1 method goes broken because Xpath point to XmlFooOuput but the correct value is now in xmlFooOutput. Is it possible to remove this weird feature? I'm using microsoft visual basic 6.0 (SP6). This question has some duplicate: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1064858/stop-visual-basic-6-from-changing-my-casing http://stackoverflow.com/questions/248760/vb6-editor-changing-case-of-variable-names from what i see, there's no practical solution to disable this Intellisense evil feature.

  • what's wrong with concatenation in blackberry application?

    - by sexitrainer
For the life of me, I can't understand why adding a concatenated string to the MainScreen is causing the BB simulator to throw an exception. If I run a VERY simple hello program with the following control, all is well: RichTextField rtfHello = new RichTextField("Hello There !!!"); add(rtfItemDescription); But if I add a concatenated string, the entire app breaks: String MyName = "John Doe"; RichTextField rtfHello = new RichTextField("Hello There !!!" + MyName); add(rtfItemDescription); So what am I doing wrong? Why would the simulator throw an exception for the second example?

  • what is the best way to have a Generic Comparer

    - by oo
I have a lot of comparer classes where the class being compared is simply checking the name property of the object and doing a string compare. For example: public class ExerciseSorter : IComparer<Exercise> { public int Compare(Exercise x, Exercise y) { return String.Compare(x.Name, y.Name); } } public class CarSorter : IComparer<Car> { public int Compare(Car x, Car y) { return String.Compare(x.Name, y.Name); } } what is the best way to have this code generic so i dont need to write redundant code over and over again.

DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR; $file_path = $file_upload_path . $this->file_path; // Delete the file unlink($file_path); // Done return true; } } What I am hoping to accomplish is so that the above custom functionality within my model file can be turned into a validator, template, or something along the lines. So hopefully I can do something like: File: actAs: BalFile: columns: id: primary: true type: integer(4) unsigned: true code: type: string(255) unique: true notblank: true path: type: string(255) notblank: true size: type: integer(4) type: type: enum values: [file, document, image, video, audio, web, application, archive] default: unknown notnull: true mimetype: type: string(20) notnull: true width: type: integer(2) unsigned: true height: type: integer(2) unsigned: true I'm hoping for a validator so that say if I do $File->setFile($_FILE['uploaded_file']); It will provide a validation error, except in all the doctrine documentation it has little on custom validators, especially in the contect of "virtual" fields. So in summary, my question is: How earth can I go about making a template/extension to porting this functionality? I have tried before with templates but always gave up after a day :/ If you could take the time to port the above I would greatly appreciate it.

String a = "a"; // allocate memory and write address of a memory block to a variable String b = "b"; // in a and b hold addresses b = a; // copy a address into b. // Now what? b value is completely lost and will be garbage collected //* next step a = null; // now a does not hold a valid address to any data, // still data of a object exist somewhere, yet we cannot get access to it. Correct me if there's a mistake somewhere in my reflexions. My question is: suppose anInstance object of type Instance has a property ' surname ' anInstance.getSurname() returns "MySurname". now String s = anInstance.getSurname(); anInstance = null; question is - is it true that getSurname value, namely MySurname will not be garbage collected because and only because it has active reference counter 0, and if other properties of anInstance have a zero reference counter, they'll be garbage collected?

  • WCF REST Does Not Contain All of the Relative File Path

    - by Brandon
I have a RESTful WCF 3.5 endpoint as such: System.Security.User.svc This is supposed to represent the namespace of the User class and is desired behavior by our client. I have another endpoint I created for testing called: Echo.svc I am writing an overridden IHttpModule and in my module, I follow what almost everyone does by doing: string path = HttpContext.Current.Request.AppRelativeCurrentExecutionFilePath; If I make a call to: http://localhost/services/Echo/test My path variable has a value of '~/echo/test' However, when I make a call to: http://localhost/services/System.Security.User/test My path variable has a value of '~/system.security.user' In my 2nd situation, it is stripping off the '/test' on the end of any endpoint that contains multiple periods. This is undesired behavior and the only solution I have found to fixing this is some ugly string manipulation using the property which does contain the complete URL path: string rawPath = HttpContext.Current.Request.RawUrl; This returns '/services/system.security.user/test'. Does anyone know why my first situation does not return the rest of the URL path for endpoints that contain multiple periods in the name?

  • Return popupmenu selection in MATLAB using one line of code

    - by Doresoom
I have a GUI which uses a selection from a popupmenu in another callback. Is there a way to return the selected value of the popupmenu in only one line without creating any temporary variables? I've tried several solutions, but I've only managed two lines with one temporary variable: Three lines: list=get(handles.popupmenu1,'String'); val=get(handles.popupmenu1,'Value'); str=list{val}; Two lines: temp=get(handles.popupmenu1,{'String','Value'}); str=temp{1}{temp{2}}; Can anyone shave it down to one? PS, It's a dynamic menu, so I can't just use get(handles.popupmenu1,'Value') and ignore the string component altogether.)

  • spring mvc forward to jsp

    - by jerluc
    I currently have my web.xml configured to catch 404s and send them to my spring controller which will perform a search given the original URL request. The functionality is all there as far as the catch and search go, however the trouble begins to arise when I try to return a view. <bean class="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.ContentNegotiatingViewResolver" p:order="1"> <property name="mediaTypes"> <map> <entry key="json" value="application/json" /> <entry key="jsp" value="text/html" /> </map> </property> <property name="defaultContentType" value="application/json" /> <property name="favorPathExtension" value="true" /> <property name="viewResolvers"> <list> <bean class="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.BeanNameViewResolver" /> <bean id="viewResolver" class="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.InternalResourceViewResolver"> <property name="prefix" value="/WEB-INF/jsp/" /> <property name="suffix" value="" /> </bean> </list> </property> <property name="defaultViews"> <list> <bean class="org.springframework.web.servlet.view.json.MappingJacksonJsonView" /> </list> </property> <property name="ignoreAcceptHeader" value="true" /> </bean> This is a snippet from my MVC config file. The problem lies in resolving the view's path to the /WEB-INF/jsp/ directory. Using a logger in my JBoss setup, I can see that when I test this search controller by going to a non-existent page, the following occurs: Server can't find the request Request is sent to 404 error page (in this case my search controller) Search controller performs search Search controller returns view name (for this illustration, we'll assume test.jsp is returned) Based off of server logger, I can see that org.springframework.web.servlet.view.JstlView is initialized once my search controller returns the view name (so I can assume it is being picked up correctly by the InternalResourceViewResolver) Server attempts to return content to browser resulting in a 404! A couple things confuse me about this: I'm not 100% sure why this isn't resolving when test.jsp clearly exists under the /WEB-INF/jsp/ directory. Even if there was some other problem, why would this result in a 404? Shouldn't a 404 error page that results in another 404 theoretically create an infinite loop? Thanks for any help or pointers! Controller class [incomplete]: @Controller public class SiteMapController { //-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- @Autowired(required=true) private SearchService search; @Autowired(required=true) private CatalogService catalog; //-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- @RequestMapping(value = "/sitemap", method = RequestMethod.GET) public String sitemap (HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) { String forwardPath = ""; try { long startTime = System.nanoTime() / 1000000; String pathQuery = (String) request.getAttribute("javax.servlet.error.request_uri"); Scanner pathScanner = new Scanner(pathQuery).useDelimiter("\\/"); String context = pathScanner.next(); List<ProductLightDTO> results = new ArrayList<ProductLightDTO>(); StringBuilder query = new StringBuilder(); String currentValue; while (pathScanner.hasNext()) { currentValue = pathScanner.next().toLowerCase(); System.out.println(currentValue); if (query.length() > 0) query.append(" AND "); if (currentValue.contains("-")) { query.append("\""); query.append(currentValue.replace("-", " ")); query.append("\""); } else { query.append(currentValue + "*"); } } //results.addAll(this.doSearch(query.toString())); System.out.println("Request: " + pathQuery); System.out.println("Built Query:" + query.toString()); //System.out.println("Result size: " + results.size()); long totalTime = (System.nanoTime() / 1000000) - startTime; System.out.println("Total TTP: " + totalTime + "ms"); if (results == null || results.size() == 0) { forwardPath = "home.jsp"; } else if (results.size() == 1) { forwardPath = "product.jsp"; } else { forwardPath = "category.jsp"; } } catch (Exception ex) { System.err.println(ex); } System.out.println("Returning view: " + forwardPath); return forwardPath; } }

  • Explanation of output

    - by Anon
My program class Building { Building() { System.out.print("b "); } Building(String name) { this(); System.out.print("bn " + name); } }; public class House extends Building { House() { System.out.print("h "); // this is line# 1 } House(String name) { this(); // This is line#2 System.out.print("hn " + name); } public static void main(String[] args) { new House("x "); } } We know that compiler will write a call to super() as the first line in the child class's constructor. Therefore should not the output be: b (call from compiler written call to super(), before line#2 b (again from compiler written call to super(),before line#1 ) h hn x But the output is b h hn x Why is that?

  • C# Reflection and Getting Properties

    - by Nathan
    I have the following dummy class structure and I am trying to find out how to get the properties from each instance of the class People in PeopleList. I know how to get the properties from a single instance of People but can't for the life of me figure out how to get it from PeopleList. I am sure this is really straightforward but can someone point me in the right direction? public class Example { public class People { private string _name; public string Name { get { return _name; } set { _name = value; } } private int _age; public int Age { get { return _age; } set { _age = value; } } public People() { } public People(string name, int age) { this._name = name; this._age = age; } } public class PeopleList : List<People> { public static void DoStuff() { PeopleList newList = new PeopleList(); // Do some stuff newList.Add(new People("Tim", 35)); } } }
