I want a nice development environment with commonjs and node etc. Preferebly windows but anything is interesting really. Is there any IDE with some nifty refactoring tools, maybe some intellisense-like function, etc etc.. Or is it notepad++ ftw?

  • How can I map one to one relationship in Fluent NHibernate. I have tried everything else

    I have this table structure and would like to map it using Fluent Hibernate (subclass if possible). I cannot change the structure because the database has too many records and might cause major applications rework. It would be easier if the Id from Party table was a foreign key in person and organization table, but in the particular scenario the database has person and organization key as a foreign key in party table.   • Java api to get windows Special folders

    I once found a nifty little library that used JNI to allow java applications on Windows to get the locations of various "special" directories on windows. I can't for the life of me find it again... In particular, I need to get the location of the "All Users" (shared) "Application Data" directory. So, anyone have a bullet proof way in Java to locate the "All Users" "Application Data" folder? It needs to be bullet proof.

    We're approaching a point of replacing several of our developer PCs and would like to move up to 64-Bit to maximize the hardware/life of the PCs but we also need to support several legacy VB6 applications. That said, does the VB6 IDE run on Windows 7 64-bit? Microsoft says it's not supported, but that doesn't necessarily mean it doesn't work. Does it work? Are there any pitfalls/workarounds needed to get it running?

I just installed Tomcat 6 on my Mac to play around with it, and every tutorial I look at says the first thing to do to create a new web application is to add a line to the server.xml file with defines a new Context. Fair enough. However, my question is, I don't see a line in there for the example web applications, so how do those work?

    in opened applications? I want to automate firefox in some web page and I don't have a way to "know" if the page already load completely or if it still loading... I was thinking about making an OCR to check the status bar... it's difficult ? For example, when the word DONE appears at the status bar, the program continues to the next command...
