  • How do I extract HTML content using Regex in PHP

    - by gAMBOOKa
    I know, i know... regex is not the best way to extract HTML text. But I need to extract article text from a lot of pages, I can store regexes in the database for each website. I'm not sure how XML parsers would work with multiple websites. You'd need a separate function for each website. In any case, I don't know much about regexes, so bear with me. I've got an HTML page in a format similar to this <html> <head>...</head> <body> <div class=nav>...</div><p id="someshit" /> <div class=body>....</div> <div class=footer>...</div> </body> I need to extract the contents of the body class container. I tried this. $pattern = "/<div class=\"body\">\(.*?\)<\/div>/sui" $text = $htmlPageAsIs; if (preg_match($pattern, $text, $matches)) echo "MATCHED!"; else echo "Sorry gambooka, but your text is in another castle."; What am I doing wrong? My text ends up in another castle.

  • IRequest / IResponse Pattern

    - by traderde
    I am trying to create an Interface-based Request/Response pattern for Web API requests to allow for asynchronous consumer/producer processing, but not sure how I would know what the underlying IResponse class is. public void Run() { List<IRequest> requests = new List<IRequest>(); List<IResponse> responses = new List<IResponse(); requests.Add(AmazonWebRequest); //should be object, trying to keep it simple requests.Add(EBayWebRequest); //should be object, trying to keep it simple foreach (IRequest req in requests) { responses.Add(req.GetResponse()); } foreach (IResponse resp in response) { typeof resp???? } } interface IRequest { IResponse GetResponse(); } interface IResponse { } public class AmazonWebServiceRequest : IRequest { public AmazonWebServiceRequest() { //get data; } public IResponse GetResponse() { AmazonWebServiceRequest request = new AmazonWebServiceRequest(); return (IResponse)request; } } public class AmazonWebServiceResponse : IResponse { XmlDocument _xml; public AmazonWebServiceResponse(XmlDocument xml) { _xml = xml; _parseXml(); } private void _parseXml() { //parse Xml into object; } } public class EBayWebRequest : IRequest { public EBayWebRequest () { //get data; } public IResponse GetResponse() { EBayWebRequest request = new EBayWebRequest(); return (IResponse)request; } } public class EBayWebResponse : IResponse { XmlDocument _xml; public EBayWebResponse(XmlDocument xml) { _xml = xml; _parseXml(); } private void _parseXml() { //parse Xml into object; } }

  • Quick help with some jQuery toggle

    - by mplacona
    I have the following code: <script> $(document).ready(function() { $('.toggle_section').click(function(e){ parent = $(e.target).closest("div") objChild = parent.children('div'); $('.sectionContentId').hide(400); $(objChild).toggle(400); }); }); </script> <br /> <div class="box" id="parent_section_1"> <strong> <a class="toggle_section" href="javascript:;">New Section 1</a> </strong> <div class="sectionContentId" id="section_1" style="display: none"> <br /> Contents<br />for<br />section<br />1 </div> </div> <br /> <div class="box" id="parent_section_2"> <strong> <a class="toggle_section" href="javascript:;">New Section 2</a> </strong> <div class="sectionContentId" id="section_2" style="display: none"> <br /> Contents<br />for<br />section<br />2 </div> </div> And example can be seen here As you can see, what I'm trying to accomplish is that when you click on one of the links, all the other "already expanded sections" collapse, and the clicked section expand. this works fine as it is, but obviously by using the logic: $('.sectionContentId').hide(400); $(objChild).toggle(400); When I click one of the expanded sections in the attempt to close it, it closes briefly and opens again. I wanna keep the same functionality, but wanna be able to open and close a section by clicking on a link, as well as when I'm opening a section, I wan't it to close everything before opening this new section. I'm not sure I'm being very clear here, but by looking at the example, you will be able to understand better what I mean. Thnks in advance

  • python: how to design a container with elements that must reference their container

    - by Luke404
    (the title is admittedly not that great. Please forgive my English, this is the best I could think of) I'm writing a python script that will manage email domains and their accounts, and I'm also a newby at OOP design. My two (related?) issues are: the Domain class must do special work to add and remove accounts, like adding/removing them to the underlying implementation how to manage operations on accounts that must go through their container To solve the former issue I'd add a factory method to the Domain class that'll build an Account instance in that domain, and a 'remove' (anti-factory?) method to handle deletions. For the latter this seems to me "anti-oop" since what would logically be an operation on an Account (eg, change password) must always reference the containing Domain. Seems to me that I must add to the Account a reference back to the Domain and use that to get data (like the domain name) or call methods on the Domain class. Code example (element uses data from the container) that manages an underlying Vpopmail system: class Account: def __init__(self, name, password, domain): self.name = name self.password = password self.domain = domain def set_password(self, password): os.system('vpasswd %s@%s %s' % (self.name, self.domain.name, password) self.password = password class Domain: def __init__(self, domain_name): self.name = domain_name self.accounts = {} def create_account(self, name, password): os.system('vadduser %s@%s %s' % (name, self.name, password)) account = Account(name, password, self) self.accounts[name] = account def delete_account(self, name): os.system('vdeluser %s@%s' % (name, self.name)) del self.accounts[name] another option would be for Account.set_password to call a Domain method that would do the actual work - sounds equally ugly to me. Also note the duplication of data (account name also as dict key), it sounds logical (account names are "primary key" inside a domain) but accounts need to know their own name.

  • Why do I get Detached Entity exception when upgrading Spring Boot 1.1.4 to 1.1.5

    - by mmeany
    On updating Spring Boot from 1.1.4 to 1.1.5 a simple web application started generating detached entity exceptions. Specifically, a post authentication inteceptor that bumped number of visits was causing the problem. A quick check of loaded dependencies showed that Spring Data has been updated from 1.6.1 to 1.6.2 and a further check of the change log shows a couple of issues relating to optimistic locking, version fields and JPA issues that have been fixed. Well I am using a version field and it starts out as Null following recommendation to not set in the specification. I have produced a very simple test scenario where I get detached entity exceptions if the version field starts as null or zero. If I create an entity with version 1 however then I do not get these exceptions. Is this expected behaviour or is there still something amiss? Below is the test scenario I have for this condition. In the scenario the service layer that has been annotated @Transactional. Each test case makes multiple calls to the service layer - the tests are working with detached entities as this is the scenario I am working with in the full blown application. The test case comprises four tests: Test 1 - versionNullCausesAnExceptionOnUpdate() In this test the version field in the detached object is Null. This is how I would usually create the object prior to passing to the service. This test fails with a Detached Entity exception. I would have expected this test to pass. If there is a flaw in the test then the rest of the scenario is probably moot. Test 2 - versionZeroCausesExceptionOnUpdate() In this test I have set the version to value Long(0L). This is an edge case test and included because I found reference to Zero values being used for version field in the Spring Data change log. This test fails with a Detached Entity exception. Of interest simply because the following two tests pass leaving this as an anomaly. Test 3 - versionOneDoesNotCausesExceptionOnUpdate() In this test the version field is set to value Long(1L). Not something I would usually do, but considering the notes in the Spring Data change log I decided to give it a go. This test passes. Would not usually set the version field, but this looks like a work-around until I figure out why the first test is failing. Test 4 - versionOneDoesNotCausesExceptionWithMultipleUpdates() Encouraged by the result of test 3 I pushed the scenario a step further and perform multiple updates on the entity that started life with a version of Long(1L). This test passes. Reinforcement that this may be a useable work-around. • z-index of DIV positioned on top of another div

    - by Elie
    I have two div containers which are structured as follows: <div class="outer-div"> <img src="images/point.png" class="img-a1"> <img src="images/point.png" class="img-a2"> Lots of text goes here. </div> <div class="outer-div"> <img src="images/point.png" class="img-a1"> <img src="images/point.png" class="img-b2"> Some more text goes here </div> The styles associated with this are as follows: .outer-div { position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; width: 500px; } .img-a1 { float:left; z-index:-1; position:relative; margin-left: 250px; margin-bottom: 100px; } .img-b1 { float:right; z-index:-1; position:relative; margin-left: 250px; margin-bottom: 100px; } img-a2 { float:left; z-index:-1; position:relative; margin-left: 400px; margin-bottom: 200px; } img-b2 { float:right; z-index:-1; position:relative; margin-left: 400px; margin-bottom: 200px; } The result of this is to produce something like the following, where ... is the text from div-a and ||| is the text from div-b: .....||||| .....||||| .. || .. || However, since the second div is placed immediately above the first div, none of the text in the second div can be selected, although it can be seen since there is just empty space, and a 1x1 px image above it. Is there a way to get the text from the lower div to be selectable, without making the upper div unselectable?

  • Spring: PropertyPlaceHolderConfigurer to set values for non-string/integer properties

    - by babyangel86
    Hi, All the examples I have seen where the PropertyPlaceHolderConfigurer is used seem to be setting simple values like Strings and ints. How do you use the PPC to set the values of classes. E.g. If i had a class signature Source(String name, DistributionSample batch, DistributionSample delay) How would I go about setting the batch and delay properties. There is also a small catch. DistributionSample is an abstract class. On the bright side, The class that is using the propertyPlaceHolder knows the beanName of the "Solid" class that needs to be instantiated. Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Fire Fox 3.6 - location.href not working in JSP

    - by user299873
    I have jsp page with method = POST and action='/mydir/mypage/nextpage' I have a button : < button title='Continue' onclick="this.form.perform.value='cancelButton'; javascript:doCloseWindow();" Continue < /button and java script method like: function doCloseWindow(){ location.href = "https://abc.xyz.com/mydir/?param=123"; } It does not work in fire fox 3.6. On click of button; it redirects to the path I mentioned in form action. With Tamper data I find that the request goes to URL ( as in method ) with GET and then it re-directs to form's action URL. I added return false in the method call also.-- javascript:doCloseWindow();return false" I tired various combination like window.location.href = "https://abc.xyz.com/mydir/?param=123"; window.document.location.href = "https://abc.xyz.com/mydir/?param=123"; document.location.href = "https://abc.xyz.com/mydir/?param=123"; But no success.

  • Year split in Quarters using basic jQuery

    - by Alexander Corotchi
    Hi, I have a interesting question: I want to split the year into 4 quarters. What is the idea, A quarter can be different: The HTML Code: <div class="quarterBody"> <span>04-29-2010</span> <span>06-29-2010</span> <span>08-29-2010</span> </div> jQuery (javascript) is total wrong, I hope that w: $(document).ready(function(){ var quarter1 = to make interval (01-01-2010 to 03-31-2010); var quarter2 = to make interval (03-01-2010 to 06-31-2010); var quarter3 = to make interval (06-01-2010 to 09-31-2010); var quarter4 = to make interval (09-01-2010 to 12-31-2010); ... $(".quarterBody span").each(function(){ var date = Date.parse($(this).text()); //to apply some magic code $(this).addClass(quarterNumber); }); }); OUTPUT: <div class="quarterBody"> <span class="Quarter1">02-29-2010</span> <span class="Quarter2">04-29-2010</span> <span class="Quarter3">08-29-2010</span> ... </div> I know right now it is a stupid way, but I hope that somebody can help me, or suggest an idea how to do that in a better way!! Thanks!

  • No compile errors when reference added, but errors seen upon build

    - by cjs
    A solution was just converted from VS 2008 to VS 2010. My VS 2010 build is failing with the popular "The type or namespace X could not be found". When I go to the project and go to Add References and add the appropriate project dll, the class name appears in blue text as if .NET found the correct class. However, when I go to the Build menu and select "Build Solution" I get the "namespace not found error" and the class name is no longer blue. Thanks.

  • How to create a rails habtm that deletes/destroys without error?

    - by Bradley
    I created a simple example as a sanity check and still can not seem to destroy an item on either side of a has_and_belongs_to_many relationship in rails. Whenever I try to delete an object from either table, I get the dreaded NameError / "uninitialized constant" error message. To demonstrate, I created a sample rails app with a Boy class and Dog class. I used the basic scaffold for each and created a linking table called boys_dogs. I then added a simple before_save routine to create a new 'dog' any time a boy was created and establish a relationship, just to get things setup easily. dog.rb class Dog < ActiveRecord::Base has_and_belongs_to_many :Boys end boy.rb class Boy < ActiveRecord::Base has_and_belongs_to_many :Dogs def before_save self.Dogs.build( :name => "Rover" ) end end schema.rb ActiveRecord::Schema.define(:version => 20100118034401) do create_table "boys", :force => true do |t| t.string "name" t.datetime "created_at" t.datetime "updated_at" end create_table "boys_dogs", :id => false, :force => true do |t| t.integer "boy_id" t.integer "dog_id" t.datetime "created_at" t.datetime "updated_at" end create_table "dogs", :force => true do |t| t.string "name" t.datetime "created_at" t.datetime "updated_at" end end I've seen lots of posts here and elsewhere about similar problems, but the solutions are normally using belongs_to and the plural/singular class names being confused. I don't think that is the case here, but I tried switching the habtm statement to use the singular name just to see if it helped (with no luck). I seem to be missing something simple here. The actual error message is: NameError in BoysController#destroy uninitialized constant Boy::Dogs The trace looks like: /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/activesupport-2.3.4/lib/active_support/dependencies.rb:105:in const_missing' (eval):3:indestroy_without_callbacks' /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/activerecord-2.3.4/lib/active_record/callbacks.rb:337:in destroy_without_transactions' /Library/Ruby/Gems/1.8/gems/activerecord-2.3.4/lib/active_record/transactions.rb:229:insend' ... Thanks.

  • HttpClient POST fails to submit the form + resulting string is cut-off (incomplete)

    - by Jayomat
    Hi, I'm writing an app to check for the bus timetable's. Therefor I need to post some data to a html page, submit it, and parse the resulting page with htmlparser. Though it may be asked a lot, can some one help me identify if 1) this page does support post/get (I think it does) 2) which fields I need to use? 3) How to make the actual request? this is my code so far: String url = "http://busspur02.aseag.de/bs.exe?Cmd=RV&Karten=true&DatumT=30&DatumM=4&DatumJ=2010&ZeitH=&ZeitM=&Suchen=%28S%29uchen&GT0=&HT0=&GT1=&HT1="; String charset = "CP1252"; System.out.println("startFrom: "+start_from); System.out.println("goTo: "+destination); //String tag.v List<NameValuePair> params = new ArrayList<NameValuePair>(); params.add(new BasicNameValuePair("HTO", start_from)); params.add(new BasicNameValuePair("HT1", destination)); params.add(new BasicNameValuePair("GTO", "Aachen")); params.add(new BasicNameValuePair("GT1", "Aachen")); params.add(new BasicNameValuePair("DatumT", day)); params.add(new BasicNameValuePair("DatumM", month)); params.add(new BasicNameValuePair("DatumJ", year)); params.add(new BasicNameValuePair("ZeitH", hour)); params.add(new BasicNameValuePair("ZeitM", min)); UrlEncodedFormEntity query = new UrlEncodedFormEntity(params, charset); HttpPost post = new HttpPost(url); post.setEntity(query); InputStream response = new DefaultHttpClient().execute(post).getEntity().getContent(); // Now do your thing with the facebook response. • Hibernate configuration files not found by Axis2

    - by DanJo519
    I am writing a web service to be deployed on Tomcat using Axis2. I am using Hibernate3 to persist data between the web service and a MySQL database. When running the application through by IDE, the method I am exposing through Axis2 works as intended, however when I deploy the .aar to Tomcat, I receive a SOAP Error claiming that hibernate.cfg.xml cannot be found. However, inside the .aar, I clearly see that all the configuration file and all the mapping files are included. I have determined a workaround: If I place the resulting files from the Netbeans build/class folder into the axis2/WEB-INF/class folder, then the application works as expected. My question, then, is is there a better way to deploy my application so that Axis2 will pick up the configuration and mapping files through the deployed .aar without my manually having to copy the contents of the build/class folder into the axis2/WEB-INF/class folder?

  • JQuery timer plugin on ASP.NET MVC Page button click

    - by Rita
    Hi I have an ASP.NET MVC Page with a button called "Start Live Meeting". When the User clicks on this button, it calls a controller method called "StartLiveMeeting" that returns a string. If the controller returns empty string, then i want the Timer to call the Controller method until it returns the string. I am using jquery.timer.js plugin ( http://plugins.jquery.com/files/jquery.timers-1.2.js.txt ) On the button click, the controller method is being called. But Timer is not initiating. I have specified 5sec to call the controller method. I appreciate your responses. Code on ASPX Page: //When "Start Meeting" button is clicked, if it doesn’t return empty string, Display that text and Stop Timer. Else call the Timer in every 5 sec and call the StartLiveMeeting Controller method. $("#btnStartMeeting").click(function() { var lM = loadLiveMeeting(); if (lM == "") { $("#btnStartMeeting").oneTime("5s", function() { }); } else { $("#btnStartMeeting").stopTime("hide"); } return false; }); function loadLiveMeeting() { $("#divConnectToLive").load('<%= Url.Action("StartLiveMeeting") %>', {}, function(responseText, status) { return responseText; }); } <asp:Content ID="Content2" ContentPlaceHolderID="cphMain" runat="server"> <div id="divStartMeetingButton"><input id="btnStartMeeting" type="submit" value="Start Meeting" /> </div> <div id = "divConnectToLive"> <div id="loading" style="visibility:hidden"> <img src="../../img/MedInfo/ajax_Connecting.gif" alt="Loading..." /> </div> </div> Controller Method: [HttpPost] public string StartLiveMeeting() { int intCM_Id = ((CustomerMaster)Session["CurrentUser"]).CM_Id ; var activeMeetingReq = (from m in miEntity.MeetingRequest where m.CustomerMaster.CM_Id == intCM_Id && m.Active == true select m); if (activeMeetingReq.Count() > 0) { MeetingRequest meetingReq = activeMeetingReq.First(); return "<a href='" + meetingReq.URI + "'>" + "Connect to Live Meeting</a>"; } else { return ""; } }

  • Rails fields_for :child_index option explanation

    - by Timothy
    I have been trying to create a complex form with many nested models, and make it dynamic. Now I found that making a nested model isn't difficult with accepts_nested_attributes_for, but making it nested and dynamic was seemingly impossible if there were multiple nested models. I came across http://github.com/ryanb/complex-form-examples/blob/master/app/helpers/application_helper.rb which does it very elegantly. Could anyone shed some light on lines 13 and 16? 13 form_builder.object.class.reflect_on_association(method).klass.new and 16 form_builder.fields_for(method, options[:object], :child_index => "new_#{method}") do |f| From intuition, line 13 instantiates a new object, but why must it do so many method calls? I couldn't find any documentation for the :child_index option on line 16. When the form is created, a very large number is used as an index for new models, whereas existing models are indexed by their id. How does this work?

  • JSON.Net and Linq

    - by user1745143
    I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to linq and I'm working on a site that parses a json feed using json.net. The problem that I'm having is that I need to be able to pull multiple fields from the json feed and use them for a foreach block. The documentation for json.net only shows how to pull just one field. I've done a few variations after checking out the linq documentation, but I've not found anything that works best. Here's what I've got so far: WebResponse objResponse; WebRequest objRequest = HttpWebRequest.Create(url); objResponse = objRequest.GetResponse(); using (StreamReader reader = new StreamReader(objResponse.GetResponseStream())) { string json = reader.ReadToEnd(); JObject rss = JObject.Parse(json); var postTitles = from p in rss["feedArray"].Children() select (string)p["item"], //These are the fields I need to also query //(string)p["title"], (string)p["message"]; //I've also tried this with console.write and labeling the field indicies for each pulled field foreach (var item in postTitles) { lbl_slides.Text += "<div class='slide'><div class='slide_inner'><div class='slide_box'><div class='slide_content'></div><!-- slide content --></div><!-- slide box --></div><div class='rotator_photo'><img src='" + item + "' alt='' /></div><!-- rotator photo --></div><!-- slide -->"; } } Has anyone seen how to pull multiple fields from a json feed and use them as part of a foreach block (or something similar?

  • Asynchronous Sockets - Handling false socket.AcceptAsync values

    - by David
    The Socket class has a method .AcceptAsync which either returns true or false. I'd thought the false return value was an error condition, but in the samples Microsoft provide for Async sockets they call the callback function synchronously after checking for failure, as shown here: public void StartAccept(SocketAsyncEventArgs acceptEventArg) { if (acceptEventArg == null) { acceptEventArg = new SocketAsyncEventArgs(); acceptEventArg.Completed += new EventHandler<SocketAsyncEventArgs>(AcceptEventArg_Completed); } else { // socket must be cleared since the context object is being reused acceptEventArg.AcceptSocket = null; } m_maxNumberAcceptedClients.WaitOne(); bool willRaiseEvent = listenSocket.AcceptAsync(acceptEventArg); if (!willRaiseEvent) { ProcessAccept(acceptEventArg); } } /// <summary> /// This method is the callback method associated with Socket.AcceptAsync operations and is invoked /// when an accept operation is complete /// </summary> void AcceptEventArg_Completed(object sender, SocketAsyncEventArgs e) { ProcessAccept(e); } Why do they do this? It defeats the purpose of asynchronous sockets and stops the method from returning.

  • Generic structure for performing string conversion when data binding.

    - by Rohan West
    Hi there, a little while ago i was reading an article about a series of class that were created that handled the conversion of strings into a generic type. Below is a mock class structure. Basically if you set the StringValue it will perform some conversion into type T public class MyClass<T> { public string StringValue {get;set;} public T Value {get;set;} } I cannot remember the article that i was reading, or the name of the class i was reading about. Is this already implemented in the framework? Or shall i create my own?
