    I get org.apache.jasper.JasperException: /index.jsp(2,1) Unterminated <%@ page tag The page tags look like this: <%@ page import="java.util.*" %> <%@ page import="au.edu.uwa.peb.autoextractor.model.ScanResultItem"; %> This seems to indicate to me that a < does not have a corresponding tag ... is this so ... my IDE does not highlight any errors so how can I find this unterminated tag. Is there a JSP validation tool that I can use, perhaps online?   • Converting time to Military

    Maybe I'm seeing things.. In an attempt to turn a date with a format of "mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm:ss PM" into military time, the following replacement of a row value does not seem to take. Even though I am sure I have done this before (with column values other than dates). Is there some reason that row["adate"] would not accept a value assigned to it in this case?     I am trying to parse a date and I am getting different results when I run the code locally/BST compare to a server in Paris/CEST. I've reproduced the issue in a the following sample. This is trying to parse the start date for the Australian Grand Prix. TimeZone tz = TimeZone.getTimeZone("AET"); DateFormat dateFormat = new SimpleDateFormat("dd/MM/yyyy HH mm"); dateFormat.setTimeZone(tz); long time = dateFormat.parse("28/03/2010 17 00").getTime(); System.out.println("Time "+time); It seems like I am setting the timezone correctly on the date format and the current timezone shouldn't be affecting the code. But locally it prints 1269756000000 and in Paris 1269759600000. Any idea?

I have a time series (date and value) in 'zoo' format, that I want to annotate with a cross when an event occurs. The events are irregular and in a csv format (just the dates, sometimes repeated). I've managed to read in the dates etc into a format that R accepts - but i cant seem to get a means to chart the main time series with the secondary events annotated on top?
