• google maps, how to disable marker icons from being dragged around?

  Hi guys, I have noticed that in most google maps you can not drag the marker icon into your address bar and see or download the icon .png file itself. Rather then you hover your cursor over the marker, you can see javascript:void(0). How is that achieved? Thanks!

  I'm implementing my own SessionStateStoreProvider with a schemaless database. It's a little hard to tell from the documentation but it seems as though I will have to have a separate process for cleaning up expired sessions since the database will not have a way to notify the session state store that a session has expired. Am I wrong about this? I haven't seen an alternative example for overriding the SetItemExpireCallback method.

  I've got my auth library in codeigniter which accesses the database to check to see if the email/password combination is correct. If I'm sticking to the MVC practice, should I move the function that interacts with the database to my model, or is it best practice to leave it where it is so I can use it in the future? Doesn't make much difference to me, other than the fact I'd have to re-write the library and create the function in my model, but if that's the way it should be then so be it.

Normally, to find a character (for example: "z") in a database I use a query like this : mysql_query("SELECT * FROM mytable WHERE tag LIKE '%z%'"); But here, I want to found the % character, but in SQL it's a joker so when I write: mysql_query("SELECT * FROM mytable WHERE tag LIKE '%%%'"); It show me all my datas.   I making stress test on my database which is hosted on sqlserver 2008 64bit running on 64bit machine 10 GB of RAM. I have 400 threads each thread query the database for every second but the query time does not take time as the sql profiler says that, but after 18 hours sql takes 7.2 GB RAM and 7.2 on virtual memroy. Does is this normal behavior? and how can I adjust sql to clean up not in use memory?
