  • Should certain math classes be required for a Computer Science degree?

    For a Computer Science degree at many colleges and universities, certain math courses are required: Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Discrete Mathematics are few examples. However, since I've started working in the real world as a software developer, I have yet to truly use the knowledge I had at once acquired from taking those classes.   • GLSL vertex shaders with movements vs vertex off the screen

    If i have a vertex shader that manage some movements and variations about the position of some vertex in my OpenGL context, OpenGL is smart enough to just run this shader on only the vertex visible on the screen? This part of the OpenGL programmable pipeline is not clear to me because all the sources are not really really clear about this, they talk about fragments and pixels and I get that, but what about vertex shaders? If you need a reference i'm reading from this right now and this online book has a couple of examples about this.

    Can anyone point me to a few sites that make use of a UCC (SAN) certificates? I tried to search for this but found a lot of information about UCC certficates without any examples. As a sanity check before buying/configuring a UCC certificate, I wish to do some basic testing to determine exactly how the certificate will look in different browsers. Yes, I realize I could just use makecert instead. I would rather just look at them in the wild.
