    Foursquare uses a customised alert (like the attached image). I'm trying to get the same look and feel, rounded corners, fade in and fade out effect, etc. I'm looking around but all the solutions I found seems to over complicate something simple, like: http://joris.kluivers.nl/blog/2009/04/23/subclass-uialertview-to-create-a-custom-alert/ Am I in the right path?   • In what situations the Flash SWF misbehaves in different browsers.

    Hi, Recently i had some issues with the swf application in IE, which is somethings like gallery. In Firefox its loads perfectly, but in IE it doesn't work properly in some times. For the first time loading its works fine but, when i refresh all the images are getting blank. Image data came from xml. But wish to get some tips regarding the browsers and swf behavior in each.     I have an app with a tab bar, and nav controllers in each tab. When user shakes the device, a UIImageView appears as a child view in the nav controller. But the UIImageView must contain a special image, depending on the device's current orientation.     Hi, I'm using sebastiaan holtrop's cover flow component in Flex. I would like to be able to add the sources to the images using xml. I would also like each image to have its own URL assosiated with it, so when I click it (if it's in the front of the coverflow), I go to that URL.     Hi Everyone, I'm creating a subclass of UIImageView that detects touches, and will move, rotate and scale the image based on the touches. However, I really feel like I'm reinventing the wheel here, and it's driving me nuts. Shouldn't this already exist somewhere?     How can I read the delay, left and top offset data for each frame of a gif? I've gotten this far. Load the Gif var myGif = new GifBitmapDecoder(uri, BitmapCreateOptions.PreservePixelFormat, BitmapCacheOption.OnLoad); Get a frame var frame = myGif.Frames[i]; From MSDN: Native Image Format Metadata Queries read (ushort)Metadata.GetQuery("/grctlext/Delay"), (ushort)Metadata.GetQuery("/imgdesc/Left"), (ushort)Metadata.GetQuery("/imgdesc/Top") But two things don't work. First the Metadata property of both the gif and the frame are always null, even if I try different animated gif files. Second, the Metadata property of the frame doesn't seem to have a GetQuery method. How do I run these queries, what did I miss? Edit: Here is sample code that gives me null metadata.   • background-color:#070707; different in photoshop than in browser

    I'm coding a website with: background-color:#070707; That color should be a very dark gray, just the way I see it in photoshop. Now when I launch this in my browser (the background-color is set on the body using CSS, so it's not an exported image), the color is darker than in Photoshop. I know there can be differences when exporting images due to color profiling, but when setting the color code, how can this be different from photoshop? Thanks a lot for helping

    hello, i have a UIView UIImageview UIButton and UISlider added as subview to UIView example: [view addsubview:uiImageview_obj]; [view addsubview:uiButtonview_obj]; [view addsubview:uiSliderview_obj]; When i zoom the uiimageview_obj, it covers uislider and uibutton also, hence i cannot use uislider and uibutton when i zoom the image.   • FileReference.load() not populating FileReference.data.

    I am trying to use the load method of FileReference object to load the data and use it to display a thumbnail of the selected image. However, after calling fr.load(), fr.data remains null. I'm using Flex Builder 3.0.2 on Windows 7 with Flex SDK 3.4 and Flash Player 10 Debug. If I evaluate fr.load() in Eclipse's watch variables list, I get an error reading "No such variable: load." Anyone know why this is happening?
