  • Databinding a multiselect ListBox in a FormView control

    - by drs9222
    I have a multiselect ListBox within a FormView. I can't figure out how to setup the databinding for it. I can populate the listbox fine. If the listbox was a single select I could use say SelectValue='<%#Bind("col")%>' and that works fine. Is there something that I can bind to for a multiselect listbox? I've tried manually DataBinding by handling the DataBinding event of the listbox and setting the selected property on the appropriate items. Unfortunately, there are no items in the listbox during the DataBinding event. The closest thing I've found is to save the value that determines what items should be selecting during DataBinding and then use that value in the FormViews DataBinding event to select the right items which seems like a hack to me. Is there a better way? EDIT: To clarify what I am currently doing... I am using the FormViews's ItemCreated event to save the FormView's DataItem. Then in the FormView's DataBound event I find the listbox and manually set the selected items. It doesn't seem right that I have to save the value like this and I assume there is a more correct way to do this that I just can't see.

  • Serialize C# dynamic object to JSON object to be consumed by javascript

    - by Jeff Jin
    Based on the example c# dynamic with XML, I modified DynamicXml.cs and parsed my xml string. the modified part is as follows public override bool TryGetMember(GetMemberBinder binder, out object result) { result = null; if (binder.Name == "Controls") result = new DynamicXml(_elements.Elements()); else if (binder.Name == "Count") result = _elements.Count; else { var attr = _elements[0].Attribute( XName.Get(binder.Name)); if (attr != null) result = attr.Value; else { var items = _elements.Descendants( XName.Get(binder.Name)); if (items == null || items.Count() == 0) return false; result = new DynamicXml(items); } } return true; } The xml string to parse: "< View runat='server' Name='Doc111'>" + "< Caption Name='Document.ConvertToPdf' Value='Allow Conversion to PDF'></ Caption>" + "< Field For='Document.ConvertToPdf' ReadOnly='False' DisplayAs='checkbox' EditAs='checkbox'></ Field>" + "< Field For='Document.Abstract' ReadOnly='False' DisplayAs='label' EditAs='textinput'></ Field>" + "< Field For='Document.FileName' ReadOnly='False' DisplayAs='label' EditAs='textinput'></ Field>" + "< Field For='Document.KeyWords' ReadOnly='False' DisplayAs='label' EditAs='textinput'></ Field>" + "< FormButtons SaveCaption='Save' CancelCaption='Cancel'></ FormButtons>" + "</ View>"; dynamic form = new DynamicXml(markup_fieldsOnly); is there a way to serialize the content of this dynamic object(name value pairs inside dynamic) form as JSON object and sent to client side(browser)?

  • primefaces p:commandButton action not redirecting when in a p:dialog

    - by John
    I have a command button with an action that returns a new URL to redirect to. When this command button is not inside the p:dialog all works as I would expect, but when I put the command button in the dialog then the dialog just closes and leaves me on the same page. <h:form id="reviewForm"> <h:messages id="saveMsg" showDetail="true" globalOnly="true"/> <p:panel style="text-align: center"> <p:commandButton type="button" value="Submit" onclick="showOptions(); areYouSureVar.show();" /> </p:panel> <p:dialog id="areYouSure" widgetVar="areYouSureVar" resizable="false" width="400" modal="true" header="Are you sure you want to continue?"> <p:panel style="text-align: center"> <p:commandButton id="submit" ajax="false" value="Submit" action="#{mybean.myaction}" oncomplete="areYouSureVar.hide();"/> <p:commandButton type="button" value="Cancel" onclick="areYouSureVar.hide();"/> </p:panel> </p:dialog> </h:form> mybean.action returns a string that points to another page, but that page never loads, the dialog goes away and that is all.

  • ObservableCollection is not updating Multibinding in C# WPF

    - by Decept
    I have a TreeView that creates all its items from databound ObservableCollections. I have a hierarchy of GameNode objects, each object has two ObservableCollections. One collections has EntityAttrib objects and the other have GameNode objects. You could say that the GameNode object represents folders and EntityAttrib represents files. To display both attrib and GameNodes in the same TreeView I use Multibinding. This all works fine in startup, but when I add a new GameNode somewhere in the hierarchy the TreeView is not updated. I set a breakpoint in my converter method but it's not called when adding a new GameNode. It seems that the ObservableCollection is not notifying the MultiBinding of the change. If I comment out the MultiBinding and only bind the GameNode collection it works as expected. XAML: <HierarchicalDataTemplate DataType="{x:Type local:GameNode}"> <HierarchicalDataTemplate.ItemsSource> <MultiBinding Converter="{StaticResource combineConverter}"> <Binding Path="Attributes" /> <Binding Path="ChildNodes" /> </MultiBinding> </HierarchicalDataTemplate.ItemsSource> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Path=Name}" ContextMenu="{StaticResource EntityCtxMenu}"/> </HierarchicalDataTemplate> C#: public class GameNode { string mName; public string Name { get { return mName; } set { mName = value; } } GameNodeList mChildNodes = new GameNodeList(); public GameNodeList ChildNodes { get { return mChildNodes; } set { mChildNodes = value; } } ObservableCollection<EntityAttrib> mAttributes = new ObservableCollection<EntityAttrib>(); public ObservableCollection<EntityAttrib> Attributes { get { return mAttributes; } set { mAttributes = value; } } } GameNodeList is a subclassed ObservableCollection

  • How to improve WinForms MSChart performance?

    - by Marcel
    Hi all, I have created some simple charts (of type FastLine) with MSChart and update them with live data, like below: . To do so, I bind an observable collection of a custom type to the chart like so: // set chart data source this._Chart.DataSource = value; //is of type ObservableCollection<SpectrumLevels> //define x and y value members for each series this._Chart.Series[0].XValueMember = "Index"; this._Chart.Series[1].XValueMember = "Index"; this._Chart.Series[0].YValueMembers = "Channel0Level"; this._Chart.Series[1].YValueMembers = "Channel1Level"; // bind data to chart this._Chart.DataBind(); //lasts 1.5 seconds for 8000 points per series At each refresh, the dataset completely changes, it is not a scrolling update! With a profiler I have found that the DataBind() call takes about 1.5 seconds. The other calls are negligible. How can I make this faster? Should I use another type than ObservableCollection? An array probably? Should I use another form of data binding? Is there some tweak for the MSChart that I may have missed? Should I use a sparsed set of date, having one value per pixel only? Have I simply reached the performance limit of MSCharts? From the type of the application to keep it "fluent", we should have multiple refreshes per second. Thanks for any hints!

  • .NET: Can I use DataContractJsonSerializer to serialize to a JSON associative array?

    - by Cheeso
    When using DataContractJsonSerializer to serialize a dictionary, like so: [CollectionDataContract] public class Clazz : Dictionary<String,String> {} .... var c1 = new Clazz(); c1["Red"] = "Rosso"; c1["Blue"] = "Blu"; c1["Green"] = "Verde"; Serializing c1 with this code: var dcjs = new DataContractJsonSerializer(c1.GetType()); var json = new Func<String>(() => { using (var ms = new System.IO.MemoryStream()) { dcjs.WriteObject(ms, c1); return Encoding.ASCII.GetString(ms.ToArray()); } })(); ...produces this JSON: [{"Key":"Red","Value":"Rosso"}, {"Key":"Blue","Value":"Blu"}, {"Key":"Green","Value":"Verde"}] But, this isn't a Javascript associative array. If I do the corresponding thing in javascript: produce a dictionary and then serialize it, like so: var a = {}; a["Red"] = "Rosso"; a["Blue"] = "Blu"; a["Green"] = "Verde"; // use utility class from http://www.JSON.org/json2.js var json = JSON.stringify(a); The result is: {"Red":"Rosso","Blue":"Blu","Green":"Verde"} How can I get DCJS to produce or consume a serialized string for a dictionary, that is compatible with JSON2.js ? I know about JavaScriptSerializer from ASP.NET. Not sure if it's very WCF friendly. Does it respect DataMember, DataContract attributes?

  • Storyboards in ResourceDictionary

    - by user275561
    So I would like to move my Storyboards into a ResourceDictionary file and I am having trouble doing that. I have looked everywhere and it involves making the "Resource" sharable but how do I do that in silverlight when there is no x:Shared attribute. Here is the code <Storyboard x:Key="GreenButtonLight" > <ColorAnimationUsingKeyFrames BeginTime="00:00:00" Storyboard.TargetName="GreenBelow" Storyboard.TargetProperty="(Shape.Fill).(GradientBrush.GradientStops)[0].(GradientStop.Color)"> <SplineColorKeyFrame KeyTime="00:00:00" Value="#FF75F45D" /> <SplineColorKeyFrame KeyTime="00:00:00.1000000" Value="#FFA5F796" /> <SplineColorKeyFrame KeySpline="1,0,1,0.06" KeyTime="00:00:00.5000000" Value="#FF75F45D" /> </ColorAnimationUsingKeyFrames> </Storyboard> Here is what i have in XAML <Grid.Resources> <ResourceDictionary> <ResourceDictionary.MergedDictionaries> <ResourceDictionary Source="Resources/ViewResources.xaml" /> </ResourceDictionary.MergedDictionaries> </ResourceDictionary> </Grid.Resources> and here is the Error That i get Error: Element is already the child of another element. It only gives me that error when I put in storyboards, nothing else (ex:Styles). I am using Silverlight 3 and not wpf.

  • Inaccurate performance counter timer values in Windows Performance Monitor

    - by krisg
    I am implementing instrumentation within an application and have encountered an issue where the value that is displayed in Windows Performance Monitor from a PerformanceCounter is incongruent with the value that is recorded. I am using a Stopwatch to record the duration of a method execution, then first i record the total milliseconds as a double, and secondly i pass the Stopwatch's TimeSpan.Ticks to the PerformanceCounter to be recorded in the Performance Monitor. Creating the Performance Counters in perfmon: var datas = new CounterCreationDataCollection(); datas.Add(new CounterCreationData { CounterName = name, CounterType = PerformanceCounterType.AverageTimer32 }); datas.Add(new CounterCreationData { CounterName = namebase, CounterType = PerformanceCounterType.AverageBase }); PerformanceCounterCategory.Create("Category", "performance data", PerformanceCounterCategoryType.SingleInstance, datas); Then to record i retrieve a pre-initialized counter from a collection and increment: _counters[counter].IncrementBy(timing); _counters[counterbase].Increment(); ...where "timing" is the Stopwatch's TimeSpan.Ticks value. When this runs, the collection of double's, which are the milliseconds values for the Stopwatch's TimeSpan show one set of values, but what appears in PerfMon are a different set of values. For example... two values recorded in the List of milliseconds are: 23322.675, 14230.614 And what appears in PerfMon graph are: 15.546, 9.930 Can someone explain this please?

  • How to remove FacesMessages from the FacesContext?

    - by gurupriyan.e
    In my screen, I have a drop down(select box), on selection of any of the options in that drop down , i display one or more text boxes beside the select box using javascript/css - display:none and display:block. All these input controls are in the same jsf form. Each of the input controls have their own validator. The problem is suppose the user selects from selection box and doesn't input value or inputs a wrong value for , i add a custom FacesMessage in the Validator and is shown appropriately and suppose the user selects the the second time and inputs the wrong value for the then another FacesMessage is added in the validator. But Now both the Messages are shown - means - the message for and - which is wrong My assumption is that , this happens because they exist in the same form and their instances are not destroyed yet in the FacesContext and in the UIView. I decided to delete the messages this way Iterator<FacesMessage> msgIterator = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getMessages(); while(msgIterator.hasNext()) { msgIterator.next(); msgIterator.remove(); } But this sometimes gives java.util.NoSuchElementException org.apache.myfaces.shared_impl.renderkit.html.HtmlMessagesRendererBase$MessagesIterator.next So 2 questions : 1) What is the problem in deleting the FacesMessages this way? I am using myfaces-api-1.2.3.jar and myfaces-impl-1.2.3.jar 2) Is there a better approach to handle my scenario? I only want to show relevent messages every time a jsf request is processed Thanks

  • Cannot get Correct month for a call from call log history

    - by Nishant Kumar
    I am trying to extract information from the call log of the android. I am getting the call date that is one month back from the actual time of call. I mean to say that the information extracted by my code for the date of call is one mont back than the actual call date. I have the following in the Emulator: I saved a contact. Then I made a call to the contact. Code: I have 3 ways of extracting call Date information but getting the same wrong result. My code is as follows: /* Make the query to call log content */ Cursor callLogResult = context.getContentResolver().query( CallLog.Calls.CONTENT_URI, null, null, null, null); int columnIndex = callLogResult.getColumnIndex(Calls.DATE); Long timeInResult = callLogResult.getLong(columnIndex); /* Method 1 to change the milliseconds obtained to the readable date formate */ Time time = new Time(); time.toMillis(true); time.set(timeInResult); String callDate= time.monthDay+"-"+time.month+"-"+time.year; /* Method 2 for extracting the date from tha value read from the column */ Calendar calendar = Calendar.getInstance(); calendar.setTimeInMillis(time); String Month = calendar.get(Calendar.MONTH) ; /* Method 3 for extracting date from the result obtained */ Date date = new Date(timeInResult); String mont = date.getMonth() While using the Calendar method , I also tried to set the DayLight SAving Offset but it didnot worked, calendar.setTimeZone(TimeZone.getTimeZone("Europe/Paris")); int DST_OFFSET = calendar.get( Calendar.DST_OFFSET ); // DST_OFFSET Boolean isSet = calendar.getTimeZone().useDaylightTime(); if(isSet) calendar.set(Calendar.DST_OFFSET , 0); int reCheck = calendar.get(Calendar.DST_OFFSET ); But the value is not set to 0 in recheck. I am getting the wrong month value by using this also. Please some one help me where I am wrong? or is this the error in emulator ?? Thanks, Nishant Kumar Engineering Student

  • Flash: How to make an embedded video not autoplay

    - by jb
    I'm embedding a Flash video into an HTML and would like the user to have to click it to begin playing. According to the Adobe <object> / <embed> element documentation, there are variety of methods to do this: 1) Add a Flash parameter inside the <object> tag: <param name="play" value="false"> 2) Add the attribute play inside the <embed> tag: <embed ... play="false"> 3) Add the attribute flashvars inside the <embed> tag: <embed ... flashvars="play=false"> Which is awesome. Only ... none of them work for me: http://johnboxall.github.com/test/flash/flash.htm My code looks like this now: <object width="590" height="475"> <param name="movie" value="untitled_skin.swf"> <param name="play" value="false"> <embed src="untitled_skin.swf" width="590" height="475" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" play="false" flashvars="autoplay=false&play=false" menu="false"></embed> </object> Anyone have any ideas? What am I doing wrong?

  • Using IIS Application Request Routing (ARR) for ASP.NET MVC

    - by Malcolm Frexner
    I use a simple ASP.NET MVC web (the template you use when you create a new site) and the web works as expected in my live environment. I now try to use IIS Application Request Routing version 2. I have a rule that send all reuqests to a different server that match a rule. The settings are a bit like this: http://blogs.iis.net/wonyoo/archive/2008/07/09/application-request-routing-arr-as-a-reverse-proxy.aspx My rule is just a bit different it is /shop(.*). Only requests that contain shop are send to a different server. I have to use rewrite, not redirect (The same as in the Picture) This works as long as the web the original requests go to is no ASP.NET MVC web. I tried to use a plain htm file in the webfolder and it worked. If put a compiled ASP.NET application into the webfolder it worked. But as soon as I put an ASP.NET MVC web into the folder, request arr served by this application. My understanding is that the ARR should kick in before the web application gets the chance to handle the request. Did anybody use ARR sucessfully as a reverse proxy for a ASP.NET MVC web? EDIT Here is the resulting web config when the rewrite roule is entered. With this rule I get a 404 that indicates that the rule is not used. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <configuration> <configSections> <sectionGroup name="system.web.extensions" type="System.Web.Configuration.SystemWebExtensionsSectionGroup, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35"> <sectionGroup name="scripting" type="System.Web.Configuration.ScriptingSectionGroup, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35"> <section name="scriptResourceHandler" type="System.Web.Configuration.ScriptingScriptResourceHandlerSection, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35" requirePermission="false" allowDefinition="MachineToApplication" /> <sectionGroup name="webServices" type="System.Web.Configuration.ScriptingWebServicesSectionGroup, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35"> <section name="jsonSerialization" type="System.Web.Configuration.ScriptingJsonSerializationSection, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35" requirePermission="false" allowDefinition="Everywhere" /> <section name="profileService" type="System.Web.Configuration.ScriptingProfileServiceSection, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35" requirePermission="false" allowDefinition="MachineToApplication" /> <section name="authenticationService" type="System.Web.Configuration.ScriptingAuthenticationServiceSection, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35" requirePermission="false" allowDefinition="MachineToApplication" /> <section name="roleService" type="System.Web.Configuration.ScriptingRoleServiceSection, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35" requirePermission="false" allowDefinition="MachineToApplication" /> </sectionGroup> </sectionGroup> </sectionGroup> </configSections> <appSettings /> <connectionStrings> <add name="ApplicationServices" connectionString="data source=.\SQLEXPRESS;Integrated Security=SSPI;AttachDBFilename=|DataDirectory|aspnetdb.mdf;User Instance=true" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" /> </connectionStrings> <system.web> <!-- Set compilation debug="true" to insert debugging symbols into the compiled page. • WiX/Windows Installer: Re-install to a new folder

    - by vitalyval
    1. I am using WiX for creating installer and would like to implement the following behaviour: If a user launches msi installer for the product and the product already installed, then wizard works similar to pure (first time) installation with exception of some things (e.g. license aggrement screen is omitted). The wizard should allow for example to change installation folder, select whether to place desktop shortcut,... I tried to do: <Publish Event="ReinstallMode" Value="amus"><![CDATA[INSTALL_MODE = "Change"]]></Publish> <Publish Event="Reinstall" Value="ALL"><![CDATA[INSTALL_MODE = "Change"]]></Publish> But after installation completes: the product is in the same folder, where it was installed first time; desktop icon in the same state as it was after first time install. MSDN says: "Do not attempt to change the target directory path if some components that use the path are already installed for the current user or for a different user". Is there a way to re-install in another forlder and add/remove desktop icon in re-install? 2. Is this normal to use the same KeyPath for some components? For example the same registry values for DeskTop and Programs menu shortcuts? MSDN says: "Two components cannot share the same key path value". But compiling and verifying goes OK. And I did not discover problems using the same keypaths.

  • ASP.NET MVC DropDownList SelectedValue works on Edit action, but not Create action

    - by davekaro
    I have the following code in my controller (for Edit and Create): model.Templates = new SelectList(PageManagementService.PageTemplateFetchList(), "PageId", "Title", 213); the "213" is an Id for one of the pages - just using it for testing. And this is in my view (for Edit and Create): <%= this.Html.DropDownListFor(model => model.Page.TemplateId, this.Model.Templates)%> <%= this.Model.Templates.SelectedValue %> When I go to the Create form, I see the dropdown list, but the tag with value="213" is not selected. I even output the SelectedValue to make sure it's 213 - and I see 213. When I go to the Edit form, I see the dropdown list, and the tag with value="213" is selected. On the Create form, none of the tags have a "selected" attribute. On the Edit form, the tag with value="213" has the "selected" attribute. Am I missing something? What could be causing this? Anyone see this behavior before?

  • How to do server-side validation using Jqgrid?

    - by Eoghan
    Hi, I'm using jqgrid to display a list of sites and I want to do some server side validation when a site is added or edited. (Form editing rather than inline. Validation needs to be server side for various reasons I won't go into.) I thought the best way would be to check the data via an ajax request when the beforeSubmit event is triggered. However this only seems to work when I'm editing an existing row in the grid - the function isn't called when I add a new row. Have I got my beforeSubmit in the wrong place? Thanks for your help. $("#sites-grid").jqGrid({ url:'/json/sites', datatype: "json", mtype: 'GET', colNames:['Code', 'Name', 'Area', 'Cluster', 'Date Live', 'Status', 'Lat', 'Lng'], colModel :[ {name:'code', index:'code', width:80, align:'left', editable:true}, {name:'name', index:'name', width:250, align:'left', editrules:{required:true}, editable:true}, {name:'area', index:'area', width:60, align:'left', editable:true}, {name:'cluster_id', index:'cluster_id', width:80, align:'right', editrules:{required:true, integer:true}, editable:true, edittype:"select", editoptions:{value:"<?php echo $cluster_options; ?>"}}, {name:'estimated_live_date', index:'estimated_live_date', width:120, align:'left', editable:true, editrules:{required:true}, edittype:"select", editoptions:{value:"<?php echo $this->month_options; ?>"}}, {name:'status', index:'status', width:80, align:'left', editable:true, edittype:"select", editoptions:{value:"Live:Live;Plan:Plan;"}}, {name:'lat', index:'lat', width:140, align:'right', editrules:{required:true}, editable:true}, {name:'lng', index:'lng', width:140, align:'right', editrules:{required:true}, editable:true}, ], height: '300', pager: '#pager-sites', rowNum:30, rowList:[10,30,90], sortname: 'cluster_id', sortorder: 'desc', viewrecords: true, multiselect: false, caption: 'Sites', editurl: '/json/sites' }); $("#sites-grid").jqGrid('navGrid','#pager-sites',{edit:true,add:true,del:true, beforeSubmit : function(postdata, formid) { $.ajax({ url : 'json/validate-site/', data : postdata, dataType : 'json', type : 'post', success : function(data) { alert(data.message); return[data.result, data.message]; } }); }});

  • C#: Struct Constructor: "fields must be fully assigned before control is returned to the caller."

    Here is a struct I am trying to write: public struct AttackTraits { public AttackTraits(double probability, int damage, float distance) { Probability = probability; Distance = distance; Damage = damage; } private double probability; public double Probability { get { return probability; } set { if (value > 1 || value < 0) { throw new ArgumentOutOfRangeException("Probability values must be in the range [0, 1]"); } probability = value; } } public int Damage { get; set; } public float Distance { get; set; } } This results in the following compilation errors: The 'this' object cannot be used before all of its fields are assigned to Field 'AttackTraits.probability' must be fully assigned before control is returned to the caller Backing field for automatically implemented property 'AttackTraits.Damage' must be fully assigned before control is returned to the caller. Consider calling the default constructor from a constructor initializer. • WCF Web Service Gives 404 error in Azure

    - by landyman
    I'm new to using WCF and Azure, but I have a WCF Web Service that works correctly when debugging in Visual Studio. I set the startup project to Azure, and I get 404 errors for any URL I try related to the service. Here is what I think is relavant code: From IWebService.cs [OperationContract] [WebGet(UriTemplate = "GetData/Xml?value={value}", ResponseFormat=WebMessageFormat.Xml)] string GetDataXml(string value); and from Web.config: <system.serviceModel> <services> <service name="WebService" behaviorConfiguration="WebServiceBehavior"> <!-- Service Endpoints --> <endpoint address="" binding="webHttpBinding" contract="IWebService" behaviorConfiguration="WebEndpointBehavior"></endpoint> <endpoint address="ws" binding="wsHttpBinding" contract="IWebService"/> <endpoint address="mex" binding="mexHttpBinding" contract="IMetadataExchange"/> </service> </services> <behaviors> <serviceBehaviors> <behavior name="WebServiceBehavior"> <serviceMetadata httpGetEnabled="true"/> <serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="true"/> </behavior> </serviceBehaviors> <endpointBehaviors> <behavior name="WebEndpointBehavior"> <webHttp/> </behavior> </endpointBehaviors> </behaviors> </system.serviceModel> I have tried changing the binding to 'basicHttpBinding', but that had no luck. Thanks in advance for any help!

  • Serializing java objects with respect to xml schema loaded at runtime

    - by kohomologie
    I call an XML document three-layered if its structure is laid out as following: the root element contains some container elements (I'll call them entities), each of them has some simpleType elements inside (I'll call them properties). Something like that: <data> <spaceship> <number>1024</number> <name>KTHX</name> </spaceship> <spaceship> <number>1624</number> <name>LEXX</name> </spaceship> <knife> <length>10</length> </knife> </data> where spaceship is an entity, and number is a property. My problem is stated below: Given schema: an arbitrary xsd file describing a three-layered document, loaded at runtime. xmlDocument: an xml document conforming to the schema. Create A Map<String, Map <String, Object>> containing data from the xmlDocument, where first key corresponds to entity, second key correponds to this entity's property, and the value corresponds to this property's value, after casting it to a proper java type (for example, if the schema sets the property value to be xs:int, then it should be cast to Integer). What is the easiest way to achieve this result with existing libraries? P. S. JAXB is not really an option here. The schema might be arbitrary and unknown at compile-time. Also I wish to avoid an excessive use of reflection (associated with converting the beans to maps). I'm looking for something that would allow me to make the typecasts while xml is being parsed.

  • Problem with cascade delete using Entity Framework and System.Data.SQLite

    - by jamone
    I have a SQLite DB that is set up so when I delete a Person the delete is cascaded. This works fine when I manually delete a Person (all records that reference the PersonID are deleted). But when I use Entity Framework to delete the Person I get an error: System.InvalidOperationException: The operation failed: The relationship could not be changed because one or more of the foreign-key properties is non-nullable. When a change is made to a relationship, the related foreign-key property is set to a null value. If the foreign-key does not support null values, a new relationship must be defined, the foreign-key property must be assigned another non-null value, or the unrelated object must be deleted. I don't understand why this is occurring. My trigger is set to clean up all related objects before deleting the object it was told to delete. When I go into the model editor and check the properties of the relationship it shows no action for the OnDelete property. Why isn't this set correctly by pulling it from the DB? If I change this value to Cascade everything works properly, but I would rather not rely on this manual change because what if I refresh my model from the DB and it looses that. Here's the relivent SQL for my tables. CREATE TABLE [SomeTable] ( [SomeTableID] INTEGER NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY AUTOINCREMENT, [PersonID] INTEGER NOT NULL REFERENCES [Person](PersonID) ON DELETE CASCADE ) CREATE TABLE [Person] ( [PersonID] INTEGER NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY AUTOINCREMENT )

  • Log in/out of Gmail chat programmatically, clicking Gmail's span "links"

    - by endolith
    At work, I use Gmail's chat, since it's encrypted and logs chats without installing or saving anything to the hard drive. At home, I use Pidgin. When I log into GMail at home, I have to log out of chat, or messages will end up in the wrong place. When I log into GMail at work, I have to log back in to chat. In other words, when I start Firefox at home, I want Gmail's chat disabled automatically. When I start Firefox at work, I want Gmail's chat enabled automatically. Is there a way to use a Greasemonkey script or similar to force logging in and logging out on specific machines? It would seem simple enough; just follow a URL or simulate clicking a link. Unfortunately, Gmail doesn't use actual links. While logged out: <span tabindex="0" role="link" action="si" class="az9OKd">Sign into chat</span> While logged in, in drop-down menu: <div tabindex="-1" id=":1mj" role="menuitem" class="oA" value="si"><div class="uQ c6"/>Sign into chat</div> <div tabindex="-1" id=":8f" role="menuitem" class="oA" value="sia"><div class="uQ c5"/>Sign into AIM®</div> <div tabindex="-1" id=":8e" role="menuitem" class="oA" value="so"><div class="uQ df"/>Sign out of chat</div> At bottom of page: <span id=":im" class="l8 ou" tabindex="0" role="link">turn off chat</span> <span id=":im" class="l8 ou" tabindex="0" role="link">turn on chat</span> Anyone know how to "click" these non-links with JavaScript or access their functions? I would imagine that "so" means "sign out", "si" means "sign in", and "sia" means "sign in AIM". Can I somehow call these actions directly? Is there some other alternative for disabling chat?

  • How to manually check a YUI radio "button".

    <script type="text/javascript"> (function () { var ButtonGroup = YAHOO.widget.ButtonGroup; var onCheckedButtonChange = function (p_oEvent) { }; YAHOO.util.Event.onContentReady("mediaFilterButtonsFieldset", function () { var oButtonGroup = new ButtonGroup("mediaFilterButtons"); oButtonGroup.on("checkedButtonChange", onCheckedButtonChange); }); }()); </script> <div id="resultInfo"> <form id="button-example-form" name="button-example-form" method="post"> <fieldset id="mediaFilterButtonsFieldset"> <div id="mediaFilterButtons" class="yui-buttongroup ie7filter" style="z-index:11;"> <div id="mediaFilterLabel">Go to</div> <input id="radio1" class="filter_but" type="radio" name="0" value="First" checked rel="0" > <input id="radio2" class="filter_but" type="radio" name="2" value="Second" rel="2"> <input id="radio3" class="filter_but" type="radio" name="1" value="Third" rel="1"> </div> </fieldset> </form> </div> These are my YUI buttons. They're just 3 radio buttons turned into "buttons"--literally. My question is this: After people click the third button, I cannot manually check the first button anymore. How can I manually check "radio1"? I tried JQuery: $("#radio1").attr("checked",true); But this didn't work. The third button still remained pressed down.
