I want to assign a xml code into a string variable.
I can do this without escaping single or double-quotes by using triple-quote in python.
Is there a similar way to do this in F# or C#?
Hi guys.
Dose anyone knows why I have to use -use-network=false in my Flex Builder?!?!?!
This is set inside the Project Properties and is Additional compiler argument.
This is only when I want to read in a external file like XML.
Others in my team doesn't have to have -use-network=false ????
I need to save all ".xml" file names in a directory to a vector. To make a long story short, I cannot use the dirent API. It seems as if C++ does not have any concept of "directories".
Once I have the filenames in a vector, I can iterate through and "fopen" these files.
Is there an easy way to get these filenames at runtime?
I have 2 activities in my application.
In activity1, I set some configuration and I modify the state of some component (ex: set button state disabled). And I navigate to activity2.
In activity2 I do some stuff and at end, I finish this activity and come back to activity1.
But In activity1, my components state are the same when I leave this activity.
How to reset the components state with valuesdeclared in XML file (layout) ?
I am currently exporting Drupal data to an external source (XML) programmatically. However, I want the data to run through the site's default Input Format (the filter that runs before user content is displayed on the website) before being written to file.
How do I programmatically apply a Drupal input filter? Is there a specific function call or hook for this purpose? If so, links/advice would be most appreciated.
I have a scenario where I need to send a series of data across 2 clients.
The data includes Serialized XML that will contain commands that the other client will need to react to.
I will also need to send images across the wire as I need to provide a chat facility in the form of video/audio chat.
I would like a single communication medium for both, as the number of messages/commands might be a few.
WCF or Sockets?
As no one can help me with my UJS ajax problem I am trying "respond_with", but I am getting this error:
RuntimeError (In order to use respond_with, first you need to declare the formats your controller responds to in the class level)
Yet I have declared it in my controller:
class HomepagesController < ApplicationController
respond_to :html, :xml, :js
def index
@homepages = Homepage.search(params[:search])
respond_with(@homepages)
end
Anyone has any ideas why.
I have a need to load an entire LINQ-to-SQL object graph from a certain point downwards, loading all child collections and the objects within them etc. This is going to be used to dump out the object structure and data to XML.
Is there a way to do this without generating a large hard coded set of DataLoadOptions to 'shape' my data?
How do I parameterize a query containing an IN clause with a variable number of arguments, like this one?
select * from Tags
where Name in ('ruby','rails','scruffy','rubyonrails')
order by Count desc
In this query, the number of arguments could be anywhere from 1 to 5.
I would prefer not to use a dedicated stored procedure for this (or XML), but if there is some fancy SQL Server 2008 specific way of doing it elegantly, I am open to that.
Coming from other web frameworks, I'm used to being able to map parts of a URL to method parameters. I know that web.xml provides a way to map an entire URL to a Servlet but is there a way to get more features out of this, such as mapping pieces of the URL to method parameters?
i want to add the current string in a textview view to a string array in arrays.xml.then display the last/previous string of that array in a textview (setText).
I'm looking for a much more idiomatic way to do the following little ruby script.
File.open("channels.xml").each do |line|
if line.match('(mms:\/\/{1}[a-zA-Z\.\d\/\w-]+)')
puts line.match('(mms:\/\/{1}[a-zA-Z\.\d\/\w-]+)')
end
end
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
I need a table control where one can edit properties by various ways, just like editing properties in Visual Studio (it's for XML editing). Does anybody know about something like that, written by others, or maybe a solution from MS itself?
I have used the connection string below but I am getting an error when trying to create a table
Dim ConnString As String = "Provider=Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0;Data Source=" & strFName + _
";Extended Properties=""Excel 12.0 Xml;HDR=YES;IMEX=1"""
Cannot modify the design of table 'tablename'. It is in a read-only database.
I'm trying to get the contents of a XML document element, but the element has a colon in it's name.
This line works for every element but the ones with a colon in the name:
$(this).find("geo:lat").text();
I assume that the colon needs escaping. How do I fix this?
hello java guys,
im thinking of a simple java app (command line) that connects to the internet to download xml file, the problem is that my ubuntu is using a proxy to connect to internet with username and password (tru http_proxy ="http://:@:" ). So My question is, could it be possible to write a java app to use http_proxy variable? instead of programmatically setting http proxy and host in every app i will write.
How do you test your app for Iñtërnâtiônàlizætiøn compliance? I tell people to store the Unicode string Iñtërnâtiônàlizætiøn into each field and then see if it is displayed correctly on output.
--- including output as a cell's content in Excel reports, in rtf format for docs, xml files, etc.
What other tests should be done?
Hi,
I am generating the xsl-fo document for my XML content and then passing this content to one of the third party DLL that will generate the PDF. I have a requirement to display a test in 45 degrees angle. How to achive this?

Hi
I want to read whole file contents in groovy on command line.
I am using this code
#!/usr/bin/env groovy
def xmlData =""
System.in.withReader {
xmlData=xmlData+ it.readLine()
}
println xmlData
and the following command
cat 1.xml | /root/a.groovy
But it only reads one line from the file. I want to read whole file.
Any suggestion??

Shuja
So I have been trying to compare two NSStrings in xcode. However, it is not working. What am I doing wrong?
NSString Prog are characters that are xml parsed from mysql
char *cStr = "YES";
NSString *str3 = [NSString stringWithUTF8String:cStr];
if ([str3 isEqualToString:prog]) {
[switch1 setOn:YES animated:YES];
}
else {
[switch1 setOn:NO animated:YES];
}
Hi guys,
I would like to know how have I do to add a field in the customer administration at system-configuration-Customer settings panel.
Have I create the system.xml file from the core and paste in the local folder with the same path?
and have I maintain all the content of the file or I can write only the portion interested?

It seemed like there use to be way more binary protocols because of the very slow internet speeds of the time (dialup). I've been seeing everything being replaced by HTTP and SOAP/REST/XML. Why is this?
Are binary protocols really dead or are they just less popular? Why would they be dead or less popular?
