  • How to set Accept-Language header on request from applet

    Hi, I'm not familiar with Java but I need to make a request to a remote webservice from within my applet. The webservice (.Net 1.1) uses HttpContext.Current.Request.UserLanguages[0] to determine the language to use. But the value of this member is alway null. So is there a way to pass the Accept-Language header along with something like "en-GB" set?

  • How to group a database write and spreadsheet write in single "transaction"

    I have a Java program that writes results to both a DB (SQL Server) and a spreadsheet (POI), and it would be best if neither is written to if there's an error with either. It would be a lot worse if the spreadsheet was produced and then an error happened while saving to the DB, so I'm doing the DB-write first. Even so, I'm wondering if someone knows of a way to guarantee they both succeed or fail as a unit. Thanks!

It's working for the first element (objectid). Here is my ReqEx, which works fine: (?<=(rel="\{objectid:))\d+(?=[,|\}]) But i want to do somthing like this, which doesn't work: (?<=(rel="\{.*objectid:))\d+(?=[,|\}]) So i can parse every element of the search string.     I'm creating an email using String Template but when I print out a date, it prints out the full date (eg. Wed Apr 28 10:51:37 BST 2010). I'd like to print it out in the format dd/mm/yyyy but don't know how to format this in the .st file. I can't modify the date individually (using java's simpleDateFormatter) because I iterate over a collection of objects with dates. Is there a way to format the date in the .st email template?

  • Maven won't use public key to deploy

    I'm using SSH to deploy my Java artifacts to a server. I have the keys set up so that I can interactively SSH to the server without requiring a password, but when I try to run the "mvn deploy" or "mvn release:perform" commands, it hangs (at what I assume is the password prompt). My ~/.m2/settings.xml file contains the username for the server (because it is different than my local username) and references the id of the server that requires the different user.

    I get the following message when trying to execute etherpad/bin/run-local.sh: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net/appjet/oui/main I created CLASSPATH variable, export CLASSPATH="/home/user/src/etherpad/trunk/infrastructure/build" but that didn't help either. Although I can clearly see net/appjet/oui package in the build directory.
