  I have a XDocument that looks like this: XDocument outputDocument = new XDocument( new XElement("Document", new XElement("Stuff") ) ); That when I call outputDocument.ToString() Outputs to this: <Document> <Stuff /> </Document> But I want it to look like this: <Document> <Stuff> </Stuff> </Document> I realize the first one is correct, but I am required to output it this way. Any suggestions?

• Debugging Django project problem.

  Hi all, I asked this question before, but had no replies, maybe I wasn't so clear. I'm trying to debug a django project using MySQL database. If I run the admin or trying to use the shell to communicate to the data base every thing is well and I can do every thing. I installed MySQLdb for Python 2.6. I installed PyDev on my Apatana studio. Configured the Debugging with runserver 8001 --noreload. When I start debugging , When I arrive to the following code in C:\Python26\Lib\site-packages\django\db\backends\mysql\base.py try: import MySQLdb as Database except ImportError, e: from django.core.exceptions import ImproperlyConfigured raise ImproperlyConfigured("Error loading MySQLdb module: %s" % e) I get an import error : django.core.exceptions.ImproperlyConfigured: Error loading MySQLdb module: DLL load failed: The specified module could not be found. I trying to ge more deeply with the import MySQLdb as Database line , it goes to the C:\Python26\Lib\site-packages\MySQLdb__init__.py and fail in the line import _mysql. I can't understand the problem. When running the Django admin every thing is ok, but with debugging it fails to work. Any help please. Thanks in advance.

  I would like to model the following many to many relationship. Table A ID Field1 Field2 Table B ID Field1 Field2 LinkTable A_ID B_ID Field_I_want_to_ignore As I understand it, if LinkTable.Field_I_want_to_ignore was not present, the Entity Model Designer would automatically create a Many to Many relationship between entity A and entity B. However, because this field exists in the database the designer won't do it for me. I can delete the Field_I_want_to_ignore from the LinkTable Entity that the designer created for me, but how do I eliminate the LinkTable entity altogether and create the many to many relationship I want? I'm not averse to digging through the XML, just at the moment I can't see how to achieve what I want.

• How do I add a header with data to a QTableWidget in Qt?

  Hi, I'm still learning Qt and I am indebted to the SO community for providing me with great, very timely answers to my Qt questions. Thank you. I'm quite confused on the idea of adding a header to a QTableWidget. What I'd like to do is have a table that contains information about team members. Each row for a member should contain his first and last name, each in its own cell, an email address in one cell, and office in the other cell. I'd to have a header above these columns to name them as appropriate. I'm trying to start off easy and get just the header to display "Last" (as in last name). Here is my code. int column = m_ui-teamTableWidget-columnCount(); m_ui-teamTableWidget-setColumnCount(column+1); QString* qq = new QString("Last"); m_ui-teamTableWidget-horizontalHeader()-model()-setHeaderData(0, Qt::Horizontal, QVariant(QVariant::String, &qq)); My table gets rendered corretly, but the header doesn't contain what I would expect.   Hi guys, Know this might be rather basic, but I been trying to figure out how to one after create a dynamic array such as double* data = new double[size]; be used as a source of data to be kept in to a binary file such as ofstream fs("data.bin",ios:binary"); fs.write(reinterpret_cast<const char *> (data),size*sizeof(double)); When I finish writing, I attempt to read the file through double* data = new double[size]; ifstream fs("data.bin",ios:binary"); fs.read(reinterpret_cast<char*> (data),size*sizeof(double)); However I seem to encounter a run time error when reading the data. Do you guys have any advice how i should attempt to write a dynamic array using pointers passed from other methods to be stored in binary files?

  Hello, I'd like to import a real Windows Server 2008 server as a Hyper-V Virtual Server on another Windows Server 2008 instance. Anyone have any idea how to do this? I'm looking at the System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2008 but it doesn't seem to import Windows Server 2008 - nor is it free. Is there some other workaround (i.e. import the image into VMWare first, then convert to Hyper-V)? Please help. Regards, Randall

  I am having an un-predictable behavior of creating radio buttons in advancedDataGrid column using itemRenderer. Similar kind of problem has been reported at http://stackoverflow.com/questions/112036/creating-a-column-of-radiobuttons-in-adobe-flex. I tried to use the same procedure i.e. bind every radio button selectedValue and value attributes with the property specified in the property of the associated bean but still facing the problem. The button change values! The selected button becomes deselected, and unselected ones become selected. • How to define index by several columns in hibernate entity?

  Morning. I need to add indexing in hibernate entity. As I know it is possible to do using @Index annotation to specify index for separate column but I need an index for several fields of entity. I've googled and found jboss annotation @Table, that allows to do this (by specification). But (I don't know why) this functionality doesn't work. May be jboss version is lower than necessary, or maybe I don't understant how to use this annotation, but... complex index is not created.   For a new project, we want to build a web service in JAVA using JAX-WS RI and for the web service client, we want to use PHP. But calling the web service from PHP fails My very simple PHP call looks like this: $client = new SoapClient('http://localhost:8080/calculator?wsdl', array('trace' => 1)); echo 'Sum: '.$client->addValues(4, 5); But than I either get a "Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded..." or a "Uncaught SoapFault exception: [WSDL] SOAP-ERROR: Parsing WSDL: Couldn't load from 'http://localhost:8080/calculator?wsdl' ..." exception. I have tested the PHP SoapClient() with other web services and they work without any issues. Is there a known issue with JAX-WS RI in comibation with PHP, or is there an error in my web service I didn't see? I have found this bug report, but even updating to PHP 5.3.2 doesn't solved the problem. Can anyone tell me what to do? And by the way, my java version running on Windows 7 x64 is the following: java version "1.6.0_17" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_17-b04) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 14.3-b01, mixed mode)

  Hi, I am trying to get my Django project running on the production server. I setup the environment using pip, so it is identical to the development environment where everything is running fine. The only difference is that I don't use virtualenv on production, because this project is the only one that is going to run on production. Also on production, there is an Nginx reverse proxy to serve static content, and passes dynamic requests to Apache2. The Apache wsgi file is as follows: import sys, os sys.path.append('/home/project/src') os.environ['DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE'] = 'settings' import django.core.handlers.wsgi application = django.core.handlers.wsgi.WSGIHandler() When I access the server, I get an import error: ImproperlyConfigured: Error importing middleware middleware: "cannot import name UserProfile" Which refers to the middleware.py under src/ folder which is referred by the settings. But I can import both the middleware and the UserProfile class from within ./manage.py shell prompt. It seems like a problem with paths in wsgi file but I cannot see what. The directory structure is: /home/project /home/project/src (which contains the settings.py, middleware.py and app folders) /home/apache/apache.wsgi Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, oMat

  I need to write a tool that lists the classes that call methods of specified interfaces. It will be used as part of the build process of a large java application consisting of many modules. The goal is to automatically document the dependencies between certain java modules. I found several tools for dependency analysis, but they don't work on the method level, just for packages or jars. Finally I found ASM, that seems to do what I need.   I've just finished setting up a django app on virtualenv, deployment went smoothly using a fabric script, but now the .wsgi is not working, I've tried every variation on the internet but no luck. • Is there any way to programitically change a Data/ItemTemplate in Silverlight?

  So I have a Listbox, which is using an ItemTemplate to display an image. I want to be able to change the size of the displayed image in the ItemTemplate. Through databinding I can change the Width, but the only way I can see how to do this is to add a Property (Say, ImageSize) to the class I am binding to and then change every item in the colleciton to have a new ImageSize. Is there no way to access the property of an item in that Datatemplate? E.g. <navigation:Page.Resources> <DataTemplate x:Key="ListBoxItemTemplate"> <Viewbox Height="100" Width="100"> <Image Source="{Binding Image}"/> </Viewbox> </DataTemplate> </navigation:Page.Resources> <Grid> <ListBox ItemTemplate="{StaticResource ListBoxItemTemplate}" ItemSource="{Binding Collection}"/> </Grid> Is there anyway to set the Width and Height of the viewbox without binding a property to every element in the collection?

  I have an example database, it contains tables for Movies, People and Credits. The Movie table contains a Title and an Id. The People table contains a Name and an Id. The Credits table relates Movies to the People that worked on those Movies, in a particular role. The table looks like this: CREATE TABLE [dbo].[Credits] ( [Id] [int] IDENTITY (1, 1) NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY, [PersonId] [int] NOT NULL FOREIGN KEY REFERENCES People(Id), [MovieId] [int] NOT NULL FOREIGN KEY REFERENCES Movies(Id), [Role] [char] (1) NULL In this simple example, the [Role] column is a single character, by my convention either 'A' to indicate the person was an actor on that particular movie, or 'D' for director. I'd like to perform a query on a particular person that returns the person's name, plus a list of all the movies the person has worked on, and the roles in those movies. If I were to serialize it to json, it might look like this: { "name" : "Clint Eastwood", "movies" : [ { "title": "Unforgiven", "roles": ["actor", "director"] }, { "title": "Sands of Iwo Jima", "roles": ["director"] }, { "title": "Dirty Harry", "roles": ["actor"] }, ... ] } How can I write a LINQ-to-SQL query that shapes the output like that?
