    I'm looking for a well documented open source project, written in scala to see best practices etc. At sourceforge.net I found a few projects tagged as scala but they were actually written in java. github seems a bit better: http://groups.google.com/group/scala-melb/web/open-scala-projects Does anyone know such a project which could be recommended for learning?

    Hi, after some google around, I just figured out that there is no one that is using 100% MvvM pattern to get the ToolKit DataGrid events ! Is that impossible or what ? I see too much people using the code-behind... How can I get the SelectedRow or dblClick events using mvvm ? cheers

    i think i have read every page google knows about which has these keywords, and nothing works for me. what i have is a form input, and a button next to it [not submit], and what i want is for the button click to trigger an 'enter' key click. [this will respectively run another function which is already working..] i've tried and also putting it in a function and then running it from onclick, or making a $(#'inputBtn').click(function()..... nothing works for me please help!!

  • Java API to create pdf with tables: any recommendations?

    I need to create a PDF containing some tables. When looking on google/stackoverflow the most frequent API seems to be iText but that's under the AGPL licence and thus not desirable for my purposes. I also frequently see apache pdfbox but that does not seem to have native support for tables (although a slightly hacky way was posted at Apache PDFBox Java library - Is there an API for creating tables? ) Does anyone have any recommendations?

  • Is there a free version control server provider for non-public projects?

    I'd like to have a version control server (preferably SVN) accessible on the internet without having to host my own (linux) server. Setting up a home server ala DynDNS is not really an option. Can you have non-public (maybe single-user) projects on one of the OSS project hosting sites? Or are there alternatives? I had a look at Google Code. But that looked very public to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated :-)

  • UIScrollView map with pins that stay at a fixed size?

    Hi, In my app, I have a ScrollView that shows a map(just a jpeg). On top of the ScrollView, I added some pins(UIImageView) So far so good. But when I zoom in, the pins also get larger. I would like the pins to stay at a fixed size, just like the pins on the google map application on the iPhone. How do I solve this? Thanks!

The problem is that the API returns a dictionary if there is an error but returns an array of the results if it works. Is there a good way to detect if the JSONValue is an array or a dictionary?     I tried http://code.google.com/p/feed-reader-lib but holy cow, talk about difficult to build. It has a nightmare of dependencies on Xerces and Xalan, both of which seem to be choking under the new VisualStudio 2010 C++ compiler. I've wasted hours trying to build this thing which is a shame. Does anyone have anything a little easier to hit the ground running with?

    What is the generic algorithm or process that is commonly used to dynamically render portions of a scrolling area? For example, in Google Maps, when the user scrolls past the bounds of the currently rendered area, a grey checkerboard pattern is displayed within the not-yet-rendered portions while the application loads and renders those areas. I'm looking specifically for the approach, or the mathematics, related to filling a graphics area in chunks based on what has just come into view. If possible, I'm looking for anything relevant to the GDI+ process of doing so.

  • [Design Question] When to open a link on a new window?

    Hi All, When designing a web application/web site, is there an accepted practice on when to open a link on a new window? Currently, if the site being linked to is outside the domain (say Google.com), I am always launching it on a new window. If the page being linked is within the same domain, I open it on the current active window. I've read somewhere the opening links on a new window explicitly is being frowned upon. Thanks!
