    I have a script that has a GET variable: $_GET['percentage'] I have a MySQL table of data. Now lets say that there are 100 rows of data in this table. In pseudo-code: SELECT data FROM table Now would it be possible to select $_GET['percentage'] of random data from table? For example (again in pseudo-code): $_GET['percentage'] = 10; SELECT 10% of data from table order by rand() If this IS possible, how could I do it?

  • JQuery within a partial view not being called

    I have a view that has some jQuery to load a partial view (via a button click) into a div in the view. This works without a problem. However within the partial view I have a very similar bit of jQuery that will load another partial view into a div in the first partial view, but this isn't working, it almost seems like the jQuery in the first partial view isn't being loaded. I have tried searching for solutions, but I haven't managed to find an answer. I have also re-created the jQuery function in a @Ajax.ActionLink which works fine, however I am trying to avoid the Microsoft helpers as I am trying to learn jQuery.     I am using combination of php+jQuery for captcha validation and later sending mails and do other stuff. The pseudo code is something like this: captcha_code = jQuery.post(.....execute captcha script and get status) if(captcha_code == "correct"){ send_mail_using_php_script; } Now I have no idea whether spammers can directly execute the "send_mail_using_php_script". Do they? If yes, then shall I move captcha validation in send_mail_using_php_script to make it more safer? Is there any other safer method? Prashant

    Sorry for the dramatic sounding title, just wanted to know if there is a way to prevent all types of PHP commands from executing EXCEPT one. For example, now when I kill a script using die() my pages look half broken because the bottom part of the page's html failed to load since it was being brought in using the include() function. So is there a way to tell PHP "don't allow any more commands to be executed except the include function" ?

    Hi I have a Jquery accordion which works fine. Sections get expanded/collapsed when clicked on respective headers. But I want to add the functionality so that when I click on "next" button it opens up the next section and clicking "Previous" button takes me back to previous section. This has been done on this page http://jquery.bassistance.de/accordion/demo/?p=1.1.2 (last example) but not sure how do I implement the same in my case. Any suggestions please.     I have a php script that has the following requirement command: require_once 'HTTP/OAuth.php'; the file HTTP/OAuth.php is in php's include_path that is .:/usr/lib/php. Nevertheless in Eclipse the require_once line is marked with the following warning: Include filename: 'HTTP/OAuth.php' doesn't exist in project: How can I make my project see the include_path so it can find the require_once file?     My development PC has windows installed. And I've experienced weird php behaviour: <?php file_put_contents('c:/q', microtime(1) . "\r\n", FILE_APPEND); sleep(10); When I run this script in browser simultaneously in two different tabs I get such results 1294713622.125 1294713632.2188 which obviously is not what I expected, although in CLI everything is fine. So the question: what can block execution? (session.auto_start is Off)
