I need to make a replace of a plus sign in a javascript string. there might be multiple occurrence of the plus sign so I did this up until now:
myString= myString.replace(/+/g, "");#
This is however breaking up my javascript and causing glitches. How do you escape a '+' sign in a regular expression?
I've been trying to learn PHP OOP and have looked at multiple articles, but have yet to find a good resource for learning. I want to learn from the user of setters and getters, $this-, constructors, and so on...! Can anyone please suggest me something? I noticed MOST teachings leave out the explanation of $this-. I want to learn magic methods, decorators, encapsulation, etc... Feel free to suggest something that I haven't explicitly listed.
I require event calendar by using silverlight Calendar control or custom control.
In it I want to add events (multiple) based on particular data and display those
events on that particular date inside the calendar itself.
Is there any ready made control of solution exists??
Hello,

I have a flash application written in action script 2, and at one point it makes multiple back-to-back JavaScript requests using getUrl().
They have to be done as separate requests because IE had a limit on the length of a single request, and fails silently if that limit is passed.
When ever this happens, if the user has their sound turned on there is a barrage of "click click click".
Hi,
Would you be able to help to delete the warning discussed below ?

In that I declared static const NSString *variable = @"cool";
Now, I have another file multiple.m. In this file I have a function Bool var2 = [object methodname:variable];
It means, I passed variable as parameter for this function, but I got warning like this:
variable is defined but not used
So,how to remove this warning?

I'm looking for Java libraries/applications which are parallel and feature objects that can be queried in parallel. That is, there is/are objects in which multiple types of operations can be made from different threads and these will be synchronized.
It would be helpful if someone could ideas of where I could find such applications as well.
EDIT: Actually, language doesn't matter so much, so C++, Python, anything is welcome
I have to code a server app where clients open a TCP/IP socket, send some data and close the connection.
The data packets are small < 100 bytes, however there is talk of having them batch their transactions and send multiple packets.
How can I best simulate a dial-up ut connection (using Delphy & Indy components, just FYI)?
Is it as simple as
open connection
wait a while (what is the definition of "a while"?)
close connection
I need to be able to select multiple options on a web form, but those options are hierarchical. For example:
Option 1
Option 1 a
Option 1 b
Option 2
The user should be able to select Option 1, or Option 1a, etc. Selecting Option 1 a should automatically select Option 1.
Any controls/solutions out there that fit the bill? (I'm not looking to spend $)

If you ping google.com from different countries you will get replies from local google servers. How does that work? Can a DNS record have multiple A addresses? Could someone point me to the technology they use to do that?
I would like to host a service on a WinCE device. The WinCE device is the host which can be accessed(control and data acquisition) by multiple clients (PC or WinCE) over serial port, TCP, USB etc. I was considering using Protocol Buffers for serialization on the wire. It would be ideal to use WCF or remoting but as far as I see they are not implement on the Compact Framework. Anyone have any ideas how this can be achieved.
Is there any place that showcases a bunch of different types of rating systems (like using multiple sliders, star ratings, up/down votes)? I'm trying to get ideas for a better rating system than just up/down (more criteria).
(I'm not interested in the backend, but the human/computer interaction part of it).
I need to be able to take multiple images and overlay a smaller one on top of a larger one and save the result as a single image.
How would I go about accomplishing this in C#?
I'm using Google Maps and have the map set to height/width=100%.
I noticed that when I resize the browser window, my map marker icons appear to redraw on top of the same location.
Meaning, if I should only have 1 map marker icon on "987 Main St", when I resize the browser window - multiple map marker icons are being now draw on top of "987 Main St" that shouldn't be there.
Any ideas why this is happening and how to prevent it?

I have multiple sites configured in IIS7 on my Windows7 development machine to run on the same port and usually only run one at a time depending on what I'm working on. I would like to be able to start and stop my development sites from PowerShell instead of having the IIS manager opened. Does anyone have a good resource to point me in the right direction or a script that already accomplishes this?
Thanks
I have a page with multiple instances of anythingSlider on it and I'm using PHP to dynamically load pages that swap out the content in them.
Reference: http://ceedcreative.com/CEED_2.0/
I would like to edit the anythingSlider to disable the previous / next buttons if the UL it's displaying only has one LI within it.
In other words, no buttons, just a clean div that's the same heigh and width (no scrolling) if there's only one image.
I'm looking for a .Net implementation of a multiset. Can anyone recommend a good one?
(A multiset, or bag, is a set that can have duplicate values, and on which you can do set operations: intersection, difference, etc. A shopping cart for instance could be thought of as a multiset because you can have multiple occurrences of the same product.)
Is there a way to queue file uploads without resorting to Flash or Silverlight, just with cleverly used forms and JavaScript? Note that the upload should be executed asynchronously.
By "queuing" uploads I mean that if the user tries to upload multiple files, they should not be transferred simultaneously, but rather one at a time, in a single HTTP connection.
I understand the use of the explicit keyword to avoid the implicit type conversions that can occur with a single argument constructor, or with a constructor that has multiple arguments of which only the first does not have a default value.
However, I was wondering, does a single argument constructor with a default value behave the same as one without a default value when it comes to implicit conversions?
I'm using JQuery as such:
$(window).resize(function() { ... });
However, it appears that if the person manually resizes their browser windows by dragging the window edge to make it larger/smaller, the .resize event above fires multiple times.
Question: How to I call a function AFTER the browser window resize completed (so that the event only fires once)?
How do you get the Android's primary e-mail address (or a list of e-mail addresses)?
It's my understanding that on OS 2.0+ there's support for multiple e-mail addresses, but below 2.0 you can only have one e-mail address per device.
