• (CKEditor) Looking for exhaustive list of commands and a way to set style...?

  Hi All, I'm currently working with CKEditor (http://ckeditor.com/). I'm looking for: 1) an exhaustive list of commands available by default via 'execCommand'. 2) a mechanism by which to set styles (as in the same way the FONT and SIZE combo boxes do it). I saw the function called 'setStyle' in the documentation, however it seems to require an exact element. I can't for the life of me figure out how to do so based on the selection -- there is no way to use ID or CLASS, as the selected portions have none. I've posted to the forums but they don't seem to be terribly active as far as replies are concerned. Any assistance would be most appreciated. Best.

• Why can't my main class see the array in my calender class

  This is a homework problem. I'm already 5 days late and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.. this is my 1st semester in Java and my first post on this site Here is the assignment.. Create a class called Calendar. The class should contain a variable called events that is a String array. The array should be created to hold 5 elements. Use a constant value to specify the array size. Do not hard code the array size. Initialize the array in the class constructor so that each element contains the string “ – No event planned – “. The class should contain a method called CreateEvent. This method should accept a String argument that contains a one-word user event and an integer argument that represents the day of the week. Monday should be represented by the number 1 and Friday should be represented by the number 5. Populate the events array with the event info passed into the method. Although the user will input one-word events, each event string should prepend the following string to each event: event_dayAppoinment: (where event_day is the day of the week) For example, if the user enters 1 and “doctor” , the first array element should read: Monday Appointment: doctor If the user enters 2 and “PTA” , the second array element should read: Tuesday Appointment: PTA Write a driver program (in a separate class) that creates and calls your Calendar class. Then use a loop to gather user input. Ask for the day (as an integer) and then ask for the event (as a one word string). Pass the integer and string to the Calendar object’s CreateEvent method. The user should be able enter 0 – 5 events. If the user enters -1, the loop should exit and your application should print out all the events in a tabular format. Your program should not allow the user to enter invalid values for the day of the week. Any input other than 1 – 5 or -1 for the day of the week would be considered invalid. Notes: When obtaining an integer from the user, you will need to use the nextInt() method on your Scanner object. When obtaining a string from a user, you will need to use the next() method on your Scanner object. • PostgreSQL - disabling constraints

  I have a table with approx 5 million rows which has a fk constraint referencing the primary key of another table (also approx 5 million rows). I need to delete about 75000 rows from both tables. I know that if I try doing this with the fk constraint enabled it's going to take an unacceptable amount of time. Coming from an Oracle background my first thought was to disable the constraint, do the delete & then reenable the constraint. PostGres appears to let me disable constraint triggers if I am a super user (I'm not, but I am logging in as the user that owns/created the objects) but that doesn't seem to be quite what I want. The other option is to drop the constraint and then reinstate it. I'm worried that rebuilding the constraint is going to take ages given the size of my tables. Any thoughts?

  Hi all, I want to set simple html contents within a web view and then resize it according to its content. To set simple html contents within web view I used this code and it is working fine: [[myWebView mainFrame] loadHTMLString:webViewContents baseURL:baseURLFramed]; Right now, if content is more than its actual size then it appears in web view showing both vertical and horizontal scroller in it. I want to set some default width and manage height according to its content in a way so that neither horizontal nor vertical scroller appears. Can anyone suggest me some solution for it? • Vibrations when exploding/repacking movie

  Please bear with me, I know that what I'm doing can sound strange, but I can guarantee there's a very good reason for that. I took a movie with my camera, as avi. I imported the movie into iMovie and then exploded the single frames as PNG. Then I repacked these frames into mov using the following code movie, error = QTMovie.alloc().initToWritableFile_error_(out_path, None) mt = QTMakeTime(v, scale) attrib = {QTAddImageCodecType: "jpeg"} for path in png_paths: image = NSImage.alloc().initWithContentsOfFile_(path) movie.addImage_forDuration_withAttributes_(image, mt, attrib) movie.updateMovieFile() The resulting mov works, but it looks like the frames are "nervous" and shaky when compared to the original avi, which appears smoother. The size of the two files is approximately the same, and both the export and repacking occurred at 30 fps. The pics also appear to be aligned, so it's not due to accidental shift of the frames. My question is: by knowing the file formats and the process I performed, what is the probable cause of such result ? How can I fix it ?

• Perl: Unsuccessful stat on filename containing newline. What?

  Hello, I am getting an error I do not understand. I am using File:find to recurse a fylesystem on windows using Activestate Perl 5.8.8 and trying to stat $File::Find::name; so I am not stat-ing a filename got from a text file scanning requiring chomp-ing or newline removing. I was unable to get file modification time, the m in: my ($dev,$ino,$mode,$nlink,$uid,$gid,$rdev,$size,$atime,$mtime,$ctime,$blksize,$blocks) = stat($File::Find::name); so trying a -s $File::Find::name give me the error: "Unsuccessful stat on filename containing newline" A typical file name found is F01-01-10 Num 0-00000.pdf but I get the same error even renaming in E02.pdf Some ideas about a possible reason for this error?

• 'client_errors' warning in output from cron job that runs PHP on GoDaddy

  Hi. I have several cron jobs that I've set up on my GoDaddy hosting account through their control panel. The commands look like this: /web/cgi-bin/php5 "$HOME/html/myfolder/cron_do_stuff.php" The jobs runs as scheduled, and the scripts work perfectly, and the output from the scripts always gets sent to my email address. I would love a way to disable this (since the PHP script can send it's own emails if it's necessary). But my real question is about the output, which always contains this on the first line: /web/cgi-bin/php5: Symbol `client_errors' has different size in shared object, consider re-linking Looks like a server configuration error to me, and after talking with GoDaddy they said it's a benign warning and not to worry about it. I was just curious if anyone had ideas for fixing it.

• understanding silverlight resource file format

  I'm trying to understand the format of silverlight resource files. There are 4 bytes of the data comes after PAD. I'd like to know what these values are, and how they are generated. here is the hex dump of a .g.resources file. Here is what I know: there is 0xbeefcace at the beginning, then there is dependancies, then padding. after that is the great unknown (but I really like to know). After 4 null bytes, are the file name and size of the resource. and After that is content of the said file. I'm not that familiar with .Net and silverlight resource management. would someone please tell me what the mystical 4 bytes are, or point me the url to the specification doc or something. Any help would be appreciated!

It works if I replace a single group at a time. But, I'd like to know if it possible to replace all possible matching groups with a single statement. Tried preg_match_all($pattern, $snippet, $matches); to show matches based on the above pattern, but no matches are found if I put all 3 groups together.

• "Genie" animation effect in XAML

  What would the XAML look like to create a Genie animation effect? Take an object of any size/shape, and "Genie" it to another Minimized location. Kind of like the OSX window minimize. Maybe even a little fancier through a smoke-like effect where the path is more switch back, instead of a simple funnel (if that makes any sense). I'm guessing that there is some sort of Path that could be drawn, and the shape could move and transform along that path. Just a wild guess. Thanks for your ideas.

  I'm running into a dilemma. When I make the ScrollViewer the main content object of my window, scrolling behaves exactly like I want it to. You resize to make it smaller than the content and the window and scroll bars appear. The problem comes in when I want the to menu to be static and the rest of content to be scrollable. I want the scroll bars to behave the same way as a browser window does, meaning when you resize it, the scroll bars appear based on the size of the content. When you expand the window, the content takes up the entire real estate of the window. Is that possible in WPF? Help would be GREATLY appreciated.

  Hi, I always again encounter discussions about where to place the business logic: inside a business layer in the application code or down in the DB in terms of stored procedures. Personally I'd tend to the 1st approach, but I'd like to hear some opinions from your part first, without influencing you with my personal views. I know there doesn't exist a one-size-fits-all solution and it often depends on many factors, but we can discuss about that. Btw, we are in the context of web applications and our current approach is to have UI layer which accepts UI input and does a first, client-side validation Business layer with a number of service-classes which contains the business logic including validation for user input (server-side) Data Access Layer which calls stored procedures from the DB for doing persistency/read operations Many people however tend to move the business layer stuff (especially regarding the validation) down to the DB in terms of stored procedures. What do you think about it? I'd like to discuss.

  iPhoneOS 3.2 I use NSKeyedUnarchiver's unarchiveObjectWithFile: to load a custom object that contains a single large NSData and another much smaller object. The dealloc method in my custom object gets called, the NSData object is released, its retainCount == 1 just before. • Default input and output buffering for fopen'd files?

  So a FILE stream can have both input and output buffers. You can adjust the output stream using setvbuf (I am unaware of any method to play with the input buffer size and behavior). Also, by default the buffer is BUFSIZ (not sure if this is a POSIX or C thing). It is very clear what this means for stdin/stdout/stderr, but what are the defaults for newly opened files? Are they buffered for both input and output? Or perhaps just one? If it is buffered, does output default to block or line mode?

• ImageMagick and Grails not working

  I'm trying to have ImageMagick run from grails to convert some images when I run the command to make an image nothing happens. I get no errors, no information returned nothing at all. I've tried running other commands like touch and ps ux just to see if they work and they all work fine. It just seems like the imagemagick commands are getting lost and I''m not sure what to do. Here is the code I've been working with. String command = CH.config.ImageMagickPath + "/convert -size 40x20 xc:red xc:blue -append -rotate 90 append_rotate.gif" println command command.execute() CH.config.ImageMagickPath is set up to where imagemagick/bin is. I've taken what is shown in println command and run it in a terminal and it works fine. Is there any reason why I can't get IM to work from grails?

• Question regarding inheritance in wxWidgets.

  Currently I'm attempting to write my own wxObject, and I would like for the class to be based off of the wxTextCtrl class. Currently this is what I have: class CommandTextCtrl : public wxTextCtrl { public: void OnKey(wxKeyEvent& event); private: DECLARE_EVENT_TABLE() }; Then later on I have this line of code, which is doesn't like: CommandTextCtrl *ctrl = new CommandTextCtrl(panel, wxID_ANY, *placeholder, *origin, *size); ...and when I attempt to compile the program I receive this error: error: no matching function for call to ‘CommandTextCtrl::CommandTextCtrl(wxPanel*&, <anonymous enum>, const wxString&, const wxPoint&, const wxSize&)’ It seems that it doesn't inherit the constructor method with wxTextCtrl. Does anyone happen to know why it doesn't inherit the constructor? Thanks in advance for any help!

• Outputing resized animated gif to browser using imagick

• starting subactivity for the second time causes java.lang.OutOfMemoryError

  Hi there, I am developing a simple app which does a little bit of image-processing. It's divided in two activities; the main one with some display elements and the second one which is used to capture images off the phone's camera. To discribe my problem: I start the app, capture an image (by starting a new Intent with the subactivity) and all data is displayed correctly. If I capture another image after this, I run in an java.lang.OutOfMemoryError - bitmap size exceeds VM budget I dont store the captured bitmap, in the second activity I just extract some data from it and pass it to the main-activity; finishing (finish()) the sub-activity afterwards. I really dont know what I can do about it. • PHP File Serving Script: Unreliable Downloads?

  This post started as a question on ServerFault ( http://serverfault.com/questions/131156/user-receiving-partial-downloads ) but I determined that our php script was the culprit. So I'm issuing an updated question here about what I believe is the actual issue. I am using a php script to verify permissions and then serve up a file for users of my website to download. Most of the time, this works, but recently one user has been seeing problems with larger downloads. He is only getting ~80% of downloads for files that are 100MB in size. Also, all downloads from this script fail to report a filesize. Further, tests revealed that the same user COULD reliably download each of the failed files if given a direct link (at which point the filesize is reported). Here's the relevant snippet of code that we are using to serve the file: header("Content-type:$contenttype"); $len = filesize($filename); header("Content-Length: $len"); header("Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=".$title.".".$ext); readfile($filename); Note that $contenttype, $filename, $title, and $ext are all set correctly before we get here. These have been triple-checked. None of them are the problem. Also, $len does provide the correct filesize. While researching this issue, I came across this post: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1334471/content-length-header-always-zero It seems that I am encountering the same issue. When I use the script, I get chunked encoding on the file and no size is set for content-length. I'm hypothesizing that something is going wrong on the large downloads, leading him to get a zero-length chunk before the end of the file.   The p calls inspect, and puts/print calls to_s for representing its object. If I run class Graph def initialize @nodeArray = Array.new @wireArray = Array.new end def to_s # called with print / puts "Graph : #{@nodeArray.size}" end def inspect # called with p "G" end end if __FILE__ == $0 gr = Graph.new p gr print gr puts gr end I get G Graph : 0Graph : 0 Then, why does ruby has two functions do the same thing? What makes the difference between to_s and inspect? And what's the difference between puts/print/p? If I comment out the to_s or inspect function, I get as follows. #<Graph:0x100124b88>#<Graph:0x100124b88>
