• DailyRollingFileHandler ---- Files should be rotated on a daily basis

  We have a requirment which requires to have an Handler that is extended from Java logging and allows to have the files rotated on daily basis. Currently Java util logging do have the support of rotation based on file size by using File Handler. It doesnt support rotation on daily basis. http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6350749 Mentioned handler seems is not promising .http://www.x4juli.org/api/org/x4juli/handlers/RollingFileHandler.html So , what we are looking is for such an appender that allows daily rotation . We would like to write such handler and which is the appropriate handler to extend for ... StreamHandler or FileHandler ? And other questions are , is there way we can configure 2 different files for a single handler say FileHandler say for eg , we would like some kind of messages need to be captured in one file and other messages in other file. Would appreciate for any comments.

• How to set parameters in Python zlib module

  I want to write a Python program that makes PNG files. My big problem is with generating the CRC and the data in the IDAT chunk. Python 2.6.4 does have a zlib module, but there are extra settings needed. The PNG specification REQUIRES the IDAT data to be compressed with zlib's deflate method with a window size of 32768 bytes, but I can't find how to set those parameters in the Python zlib module. As for the CRC for each chunk, the zlib module documentation indicates that it contains a CRC function. I believe that calling that CRC function as crc32(data,-1) will generate the CRC that I need, though if necessary I can translate the C code given in the PNG specification. Note that I can generate the rest of the PNG file and the data that is to be compressed for the IDAT chunk, I just don't know how to properly compress the image data for the IDAT chunk after implementing the initial filtering step.

  My site is a single page website with a very large "canvas" size. and to navigate around the site i'm using jquery scrollTo and jquery Dragscrollable plugin. in IE 7 & 8 the scrolling/dragging movement is very jagged. at first i thought it was my script or some other plugin that's causing this. but after i stripped down everything it's still the same. i've tried a few tips i've found around here. but none is really working for me. i know i should be asking this question to the plugin developers. i did.. i just thought maybe you guys have some other solution for this issue. here's the URL to the demo site: http://satuhati.com/bare/template/ really appreciate any help u can give :) thx..

• How to file split at a line number

  I want to split a 400k line long log file from a particular line number. For this question, lets make this an arbitrary number 300k. Is there a linux function that allows me to do this? I know split lets me split the file in equal parts either by size or line numbers but that's not what I want. I want to the first 300k in one file and the last 100k in the second file. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

  Hi guys, In Safari and other browsers, there is a bar that would indicate the percentage of the loading progress, and I, myself, trying to implement something similiar on iPhone, when loading some content in UIWebView, I would like the app to indicate the percentage of the page being loaded. I tried some google search and realize we could use NSURLConnection to read only the header and get the Content-Length ( but don't know how to, I read the Apple's NSURLConnection docs but probably I missed something ... ). And the size ( kb ) which UIWebView had loaded, seem like UIWebView don't support it for the public API... I hope this would be complete in some other ways than I thought, so if you have any ideas, please throw it out, thanks for your patient reading. P.S : I could just show an Activities Indicator for users with the long loading progress actions of the UIWebView but I just want to go further with the loading percentage bar :). Regards.

• How do you make an image opened in colorbox scrollable

  I would like my images that I open in colorbox to be displayed fullsize with no resizing applied to them and then apply scrollbars to allow for viewing the larger images. Some of my images are quite tall and things get pixelated when resized down. Currently colorbox just resizes my images down to the size of the available height/width. Is there a way to make all images display fullsize with overflow scrollable in colorbox? Here's my problem: how do I access the ArrayBuffer with PHP at the server? I'm used to the $_POST superglobal wanting parameters passing from a HTML form so it can be accessed as an array but I can't find any reference for how to access this binary array and stick it in my MySQL database.

  Hi to all. Is it possible to have a 32x32 images on toolbar while keeping 16x16 in menu. I created toolbar resource (IDR_TOOLBAR1) and set it's button size as 32x32 and load it: if (!m_wndToolBar.CreateEx(this,...) || !m_wndToolBar.LoadToolBar(IDR_TOOLBAR1 )) { ... } When started toolbar correctly shows large btn images but menu is also enlarged showing 32x32 item images!? How to have menu images as before (small 16x16) My app info: SDI, VS2008 Thanks in advance! P.S. I have noticed an option check box "Large Images" in quick customization dialog under options tab. The dialog is enabled by default in my project. When selecting that option images buttons enlarge instantly, the problem is the new sized images is created from small ones and quality is poor. It would be better if new images list is loaded? Once again thanks in advance!

  So I'm trying to display a simply image with the SDL library, but when I use the function SDL_BlitSurface() nothing happens, and all I get is a black screen. I need programmatically way/sample code to perform a fastest 'trans-wrap' on iPhone/iPad application I tried to set AVAssetExportSession.outputFileType property to AVFileTypeMPEG4 but it not supported and I got exception I tried to do this transform using AVAssetWriter by specifying fileType:AVFileTypeMPEG4, actually I got .mp4 output file, but it was not 'wrap-trans', the output file was  3x bigger than source, and the convert process took 128 sec for video with 60 sec duration. I need solution that will run quickly and will keep the file size  please help

  I have a Visual Studio 2008 C++ application where I would like to copy all of program arguments in to a string separated by a whitespace " ". i.e., if my program is called as foo.exe \Program Files, then my folder string below would contain \Program Files Below is an example of what I'm doing now. I was wondering if there was a shorter or easier method of doing this.   I have two divs for different sections of my webpage, a working and a reference section. One is fixed size, the other is variable sized and they are vertically stacked. I am trying to design it so that if you want to work on something in the reference pane, you click a link and it swaps all the data between the two panes. My idea was to do the following: var working = $("#working_pane").html(); var ref = $("#reference_pane").html(); $("#working_pane").html(ref); $("#reference_pane").html(working); The problem with this, is it seems that any javascript referenced inside of these panes (for example, in place editors) get broken upon switching. No javascript errors occur, it's just that nothing happens, like the javascript ties are broken. Is there any to move the html without breaking the javascript contained?

• Eclipse hangs when rebuilding after the addition of an external JAR file.

  I'm fairly new to Eclipse so if this is something simple I apologize, however when I attempt to add an external JAR file to my build path (specifically the "rt.jar" file which contains certain tools that I require) and then rebuild my project, Eclipse will hang at the end of the Build process. It'll get to 100% then just hang there using 100% of one of my CPU cores. At first I thought it may have been due to the relatively large size of the rt.jar file, but I tried using smaller JAR files and it still hung at 100%. Any help would be greatly appreciated! If there is something wrong with using the rt.jar file does anyone know of another JAR file that contains both tools for dealing with SOAP requests as well as XML/DOM manipulation? Thanks again!

• R: ca plotting text attributes

  Does anyone know of a way to control the font size/color/weight of the row and column names when plotting a correspondence plot with the ca package? The following code will produce a very nice looking chart, though if there were more attributes (very heavy, super heavy, something more than super heavy) or more classes of workers (peons, underlings, etc) then the graph will get a little cluttered and hard to tell what was what. It would be nice if you could list all the attributes in a separate color than the categories of workers. library(ca) data("smoke") plot(ca(smoke) , map = "symmetric" , what =c("active","active") , mass = c(T,T) , contrib = "absolute" , col = c("red","blue") , pch = c(15,17,15,17) , labels = c(2,2) , arrows = c(T,F) ) Alternatively, does anyone know if there is a way to reproduce something along these lines with ggplot2? I didn't find anything on the website that seemed comparable, but I don't know much about the package. Thanks, -Chase
