• Ruby hpricot does not like dash in symbol, is there a workaround?

  I am trying to parse an xml file with hpricot. The xml element that I am trying to get has a dash though and hence the issue that I am facing xml <xliff xmlns="urn:oasis:names:tc:xliff:document:1.1" version="1.1"> <trans-unit> <source>"%0" can not be found. Please try again.</source> <target>"%0" can not be found. Please try again.</target> </trans-unit> </xliff> rb def read_in_xliff(xlf_file_name) stream = open(xlf_file_name) {|f| Hpricot(f)} (stream/:xliff/:'trans-unit').each do |transunit| .......... This does not work because of the dash. If I rename the tag to transunit and edit the symbol reference accordingly everything seems to be fine. I thought using the symbol between quotes should work but hpricot does not seem to like this. Can anyone think of a workaround? Thanks in advance

  Every time a user registers to our site we need to show a non-disclosure agreement. In order to continue the user has to accept it. My issue is that I have the NDA in all one page and the user does not really read it and accept (like we all do). What I want is to make sure the user reads the NDA and accepts it one he "read" it? What I have now is a simple jqeury validation if the user checks a box and click on accept. then it goes to the next page.   I'm trying to select dynamic ids when a user types something into the input fields. For one of the fields, i have a input helper that displays a google map location which I can use to pick out a location which is stored in comma separated variable. However, in the explanation for the mappedBy attribute in the same document, it is written that: if the relationship is bidirectional, then set the mappedBy element on the inverse (non-owning) side of the association to the name of the field or property that owns the relationship as Example 1-60 shows. However, if I am not wrong, looks like in the example the mappedBy is actually specified on the owning side of the association, rather than the non-owning side. So my question is basically: In a bidirectional (one-to-many/many-to-one) association, which of the entities is the owner? How can we designate the One side as the owner?   Thanks to a previous question I found a useful link on multiple buttons. http://weblogs.asp.net/dfindley/archive/2009/05/31/asp-net-mvc-multiple-buttons-in-the-same-form.aspx What I want to do is have a cancel button on my page, similar to this; <button name="button" type="button" onclick="document.location.href=$('#cancelUrl').attr('href')">Cancel</button> <a id="cancelUrl" href="<%: Url.Action("Index", "Home") %>" style="display:none;"></a> However although this code works, I really want to go back to the previous page. For Web Forms I could use the javascript Back() or Go(-1) functions, but they relied on postbacks. I could of course hard code the previous page and controller as I have done above. However I am struggling to find links that explain to me how Url.Action works. Because if I do this, I also need to include an index parameter, and I am not clear how the syntax works for that. It seems odd the amount of coding to do this. Out of curiosity, I am also wondering how you TDD client side code like this.

  In this jsFiddle, I have a table with checkboxes in the first column. The master checkbox in the table header functions as expected toggling the state of all the checkboxes in the table when it is clicked. I have set up a hotkey for "shift-x" to toggle the master checkbox. The desired behavior when using the hotkey is: The master checkbox is toggled The child checkboxes each have their checked state set to match the master But what is actually happening is the opposite...   i wanna get a xml representation of the ast of java and c code. 3 months ago, i asked this question yet but the solutions weren't comfortable for me srcml seems to be a good solution for this problem but it does not support line numbers and columns but i need that feature. about elsa: cite: "There is ongoing effort to export the Elsa AST as an XML document; we expect to be able to advertise this in the next public release." dms... didn't understand that. especially for java, there is javaml which supports line numbers. but the sourceforge page doesn't list any files. question: there's software available which supports conversion of ast into xml which supports line numbers (and columns) [especially for java and c/c++]? is there an alternative to javaml and srcml? ps: i don't wanne have parser generators. i hope to find a tool which can be used on the console typing: ./my-xml-generator Test.java [or something like that]... or a java implementation would be great too.

  Files uploaded to Google Drive sometimes incorrectly have a hidden tag when listed via the Document List v3 REST API: <category scheme='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005/labels' term='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005/labels#hidden' label='hidden'/> This happens if: a subfolder is created via the Google Drive desktop client and files are copied in, or a folder is uploaded via the Google Drive web client. The folder does not have the hidden tag, but the files that were uploaded do. The files do not have this tag if: they are individually uploaded via the Google Drive web client to the subfolder, or they are uploaded via the REST API to the subfolder, or they are uploaded via the desktop client to the My Drive root. The files and folders show up in Google Drive whether they have the hidden tag or not. We're using the API with the following scope: https://docs.google.com/feeds/ https://spreadsheets.google.com/feeds/ https://docs.googleusercontent.com/ I have verified and can recreate this with the OAuth 2.0 playground. Google Drive desktop client version 1.3.3209.2600 on Win7 32-bit I guess these must be bugs in the API...

• Webbrowser locks first Excel Instance

  VB.NET 2008 - WinForms Hi Everyone! I've been looking for an answer to my problem but I only find more questions related to my problem... The thing is that I'm using a AxWebBrowser control in VB.NET 2008 to open a excel file in a WindowsForm, it opens succesfully and everything... but the problem is this: If I had a Excel File Open before opening another Excel File in my WebBrowser Control, the window that contains the file that was already open gets locked... (I can't give focus to that Excel window... If I click on it, the focus returns to my application) I tried creating a new excel instance with CreateObject("Excel.Application") just before loading the file, but the WebBrowser locks the first Excel Instance... Is there a way to lock it to the last instance??? I use the WebBrowser1.Navigate(Url) method to load the file... where Url is a String like C:\myExcelFile.xlsm WebBrowser1.Document.Application.UserControl is also True, but it get's locked. • Java/XML: Good "Stream-based" Alternative to JAXB?

  Hello Experts, JAXB makes working with XML so much easier, but I have currently a big problem, that the documents I have to process are too large for an in memory unmarshalling that JAXB does. The data can be up to 4GB per document. The datastructure I will have to process is very simple and flat: With a root element and millions of “elements”… <root> <element> _foo </element> <element> _foo </element> </root> May questions are: Does JAXB maybe somehow support unmarshalling in a “streambased” way, that does not require to build the whole objecttree in memory but rather gives me some kind of “Iterator” to the elements, element by element? (Maybe I just missed that somehow…) If not what are your proposals for an good alternative with a a. “flat learningcurve, ideally very similar to JAXB b. AND VERY IMPORTANT: Ideally with the possibility / tool for the generation of the unarshaller code from an XSD file OR annotated Java Class 3.(I have searched SO and those to library that ended up on my “watchlist” (without comparing them closer) were Apache XML Beans and Xstream… What other libraries are maybe even better for the purpose and what are the disadvantages, adavangaes… Thank you very much!!!   okay, so i have an asp.net (C#) application and i want to add a list of file and folders on the page, so i figured i should use JQuery fileTree (http://abeautifulsite.net/2008/03/jquery-file-tree/#download) but now i am totally unable to display the file list. Also i checked, on the JS console, it gives no error and there is nothing more in the page source code i've been trying to solve this all day without success so your help is apreciated

• Problem with my Jquery loading in my Codeigniter views

  Hello, I am working on a one page website that allows the users to add and remove pages from there navigation as and when they would like too, the way it works is that if the click 'Blog' on the main nav a 'Blog' section should appear on the page, if they then click 'News' the 'News' section should also be visible, however the way I have started to implement this it seems I can only have one section at a time, can my code be adpated to allow multiple sections to shown on the main page. • How to use the same element name in different purposes ( in XML and DTD ) ?

  Hi, I Want to create a DTD schema for this xml document: <root> <student> <name> <firstname>S1</firstname> <lastname>S2</lastname> </name> </student> <course> <name>CS101</name> </course> </root> as you can see , the element name in the course contains plain text ,but the element name in the student is complex type ( first-name, last-name ). The following is the DTD: <!ELEMENT root (course|student)*> <!ELEMENT student (name)> <!ELEMENT name (lastname|firstname)> <!ELEMENT firstname (#PCDATA)> <!ELEMENT lastname (#PCDATA)> <!ELEMENT course (name)> When I want to validate it , I get an error because the course's name has different structure then the student's name . My Question: how can I make a work-around solution for this situation without changing the name of element name using DTD not xml schema . Thanks.
