    I am trying to upload a pdf file using webservice api. But this api doesnot work for pdf file. it works fine for text file.when i try to upload a pdf file it give error as Client-SOAP-ERROR: Encoding: string '%PDF-1.4 %\xc7...' is not a valid utf-8 string So can we convert this pdf file into utf8 string. i am using php as a scripting language.

    I am trying to run this script: <?php $d = new DateTime('now', new DateTimeZone('Asia/Kolkata')); $time = $d->format('H:i'); echo $time; ?> but I got this error: Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Exception' with message 'DateTimeZone::__construct() [<a href='function.DateTimeZone---construct'>function.DateTimeZone---construct</a>]: Unknown or bad timezone (Asia/Kolkata) Though it works well for Asia/Dacca for example. What could be the problem and how to fix it?

APC.php has a button for clearing all opcode caches, but I don't see buttons for clearing all User Entries, or all System Entries, or all Per-Directory Entries. Is it possible to clear all cache entries via the command-line, or some other way?

    hello! I am using php and i have written codes to allow a user upload a file. For testing purposes, i have saved the file to D:/final/temp/test.xls. Then i generate another file and save it to the same location. This file can be downloaded by the user. But if an actual user would be using my application, where should the location point to?     Hi all, I've been trying to use jquery to grab the information from $_POST and return the user back to the actual form if their email address already exists in the system, however I can't seem to get jQuery to grab the php variable $post (which has all the information from $_POST) and spit them back to the original form.     I have a jQueryUI slider on my website that deals with price range. I have a products table in mysql that has various entries. I am using the slider to filter the results, but I need to set the minimum and maximum prices from the records in my database. Should I just generate (with php) hidden fields in my html that contain the minimum and maximum and then use jQuery to obtain them? Or is there a better way of achieving this, maybe using AJAX?     Look at this ruby example: puts ["Dog","Cat","Gates"].1 This will output Cat as ruby allows me to directly access the "anonymous" array created. If I try this in PHP, however: echo array("Dog","Cat,"Gates")[1] This won't work. What is this called, not only concerning arrays but all functions? Where else is it possible? Feel free to change the question title when you know how this "feature" is called.

    I am trying to parse an xml file with a soap envelope from a web service using php. I would like to use SoapClient, but I get an error back that 'page must be viewed over secure channel SSL', which I think is an issue on their end, so I gave up on that. Currently I am using curl to get a result back. What I need is the attributes in the last tag that starts with _x0023_temp_list. I'm not sure if the tag is always going to be named that, so I will probably also have to deal with getting attributes from the tag with the xs namespace as well. I've read quite a few other posts and have tried several different methods of getting the info and so far nothing has seemed to work.

I haven't found anything on the internet, and was hoping the SO community would help me.   • Can anyone help with this Magento error?

    Fatal error: Call to a member function getArea() on a non-object in {directory}/includes/src/Mage_Core_Model_App_Area.php on line 155 Cropped up when I installed an extension that I wrote on a clean install of Magento. When ported to the dev server it took it down and I cant seem to find where it has originated. Disabling the extension changes nothing. Along with clearing the cache and all the regular Magento hiccups. I've ensured that file permissions are correct to the best of my knowledge.
