  • BES 5.0 SSL Certificate

    I have recently installed BES 5.0 on a Hyper-V (i know it's not officially supported) 64-bit Server 2008 box with a remote SQL 2005 database. I successfully installed and was able to access the Blackberry Administration Service but was getting untrusted certificate errors so I followed the documentation for importing CA and BAS certificates with the Java keytool. They imported successfully but now the BAS webpage shows a "page cannot be displayed" error. TSupport is no help at all. Any ideas?

    I have set error_log = "/var/log/apache2/php_errors.log" and made sure errors were being logged. I have set the file to be owned by the www-data owner and group and even set the permissions to 777. I have confirmed with phpinfo() that the error_log is correctly set, however The logging still only happens in my vhost's apache error log.     I recently duplicated my XP "C" drive, using Retrospect. When it finished, there were 6 errors. I checked the log and the 1st error referred to Microsoft Security Essentials\Support\Applications.etl: Appears incomplete. The other 5 errors referred to the Microsoft SQL Server.....\MSSQL\log_...trc: Appears incomplete. Is this a problem that can be solved by reinstalling Microsoft Security Essentials? Or wht else?   • Complex SQL query... 3 tables and need the most popular in the last 24 hours using timestamps!

    Hey guys, I have 3 tables with a column in each which relates to one ID per row. I am looking for an sql statement query which will check all 3 tables for any rows in the last 24 hours (86400 seconds) i have stored timestamps in each tables under column time. After I get this query I will be able to do the next step which is to then check to see how many of the ID's a reoccurring so I can then sort by most popular in the array and limit it to the top 5...     In SQL, there is an operator to "Union" two tables. In an interview, I was told that, say one table has just 1 field with 1, 2, 7, 8 in it, and another table also has just 1 field with 2, and 7 in it, how do I get the intersection. I was stunned at first, because I never saw it that way. Later on, I found that it is actually a "Join" (inner join), which is just select * from t1, t2 where t1.number = t2.number (although the name "join" feels more like "union" rather than "intersect") another solution seems to be select * from t1 INTERSECT select * from t2 but it is not supported in MySQL. Are there different ways to get the intersection besides these two methods?

  • In SQL, a Join is actually an Intersection? And it is also a linkage or a "Sideway Union"?

    I always thought of a Join in SQL as some kind of linkage between two tables. For example, select e.name, d.name from employees e, departments d where employees.deptID = departments.deptID In this case, it is linking two tables, to show each employee with a department name instead of a department ID. And kind of like a "linkage" or "Union" sideway". But, after learning about inner join vs outer join, it shows that a Join (Inner join) is actually an intersection. For example, when one table has the ID 1, 2, 7, 8, while another table has the ID 7 and 8 only, the way we get the intersection is: select * from t1, t2 where t1.ID = t2.ID to get the two records of "7 and 8". So it is actually an intersection. So we have the "Intersection" of 2 tables. Compare this with the "Union" operation on 2 tables. Can a Join be thought of as an "Intersection"? But what about the "linking" or "sideway union" aspect of it?

    I get this error when I have VM running in VMWare Workstation on my work PC and try Remote Desktop-ing in from my iMac at home. I just upgraded VMWare Workstation to 7.0 from 6.0 and now I'm getting it when I try to resume my VM at work. It then asks me the scary question of whether I want to preserve or discard the suspended state. I don't want to lose stuff! ack! Update I backed up my VM and tried hitting that "discard" button and the result was a reboot of the VM. I then tried restoring to a snapshot, and none of my snapshots work! Is there anyway to fix this so I can run 7 but still have my old snapshots? The frame buffer layout of the current display cannot be made to match the frame buffer layout stored in the snapshot. The dimensions of the frame buffer in the snapshot are: Max width 3200, Max height 1770, Max size 22659072. The dimensions of the frame buffer on the current display are: Max width 3200, Max height 1600, Max size 20512768. Error encountered while trying to restore the virtual machine state from file "C:\Documents and Settings\adam\My Documents\My Virtual Machines\dev\Windows XP Professional.vmss". What do I do so I don't break things horribly?

  • Problems installing Adobe Premiere Elements 8 Content features

    I recently purchased Adobe Photoshop & Premiere Elements 8. Photoshop Elements 8 installed fine, along with the additional material available via internet download. Premiere Elements 8 installed ok from the DVD. During the Premiere Elements 8 startup process the following message appears: A reduced set of content (Instant Movie Themes, Title and Menu Templates,etc) has been installed. To install the full content set, please insert your Content DVD and run Setup.exe. If you do not have a Content DVD please visit http://www.adobe.com/go/pre_additional_downloads to download the content installer. Since I didn't have the Content DVD, I did the download, which took nearly 12 hours. The extract appeared to complete at 100%, but then immediately gave the error message "A problem occurred while extracting some files. Check available space on your computer and the write privileges on the destination folder." Why would it show this error message if it had completed the extract process 100%? What step(s) do I take now to have Content installed? Do I need to go thru the 12 hour download again or, hopefully, is there something I can do that will make it unnecessary to download again?

  • Problems with image/file upload in MediaWiki on Windows 2008 Server R2, using wrong temp directory

    I have installed MediaWiki 1.15.2 under IIS as per the MediaWiki installation instructions for Windows 2008 Server. I have configured PHP to use a specific temp directory: upload_tmp_dir="C:\php\uploadtemp" I have specified that MediaWiki is allowed to upload: $wgEnableUploads = true; But when I try to upload an image, I get this error message in my browser: Internal error Could not find file "C:\Windows\Temp\php1AEA.tmp". Retrying will simply give me a new filename, but in the same location. The directory does not have any php* files in it, but since they're "temporary", they might be gone in a flash before Windows Explorer is able to show them so that might be a red herring. I've googled for this, and the most promising lead I found was on this page: Image upload problem - Is this bug fixed?, but since the text says "a bugfix was posted on the bug-report page", but provides no link to which bug page this relates to (php or mediawiki) nor the actual bug report, I've not found conclusively the bug report in question so that didn't help me much. Lots of pages indicates that this is a permission issue, so I tried setting permissions on c:\windows\temp as Modify by Everyone, still no dice. I tried changing the two system environment variables TEMP and TMP to point to C:\Temp instead, but MediaWiki still complains about not finding the file in C:\Windows\Temp. Note that I don't care a lot about where the files will actually be stored temporarily, so c:\windows\temp is fine by me. I do, however, care about them actually being uploaded correctly. Does anyone know of a fix, have any leads I can follow, or whatnot? The server is running Windows 2008 Server R2, all patches installed, and the PHP installed is 5.3.2, using IIS FastCGI.

  • Mac and L2TP VPN no problems, xp, vista and 7 no go :s

    Hi all, I've got some weird problem and I'm out off options. The situation: When connecting from my mac to the VPN server (Windows Server 2003 R2) with L2TP PSK, everything works like it should. However, when I connect from a Windows PC, nothing happens. it spits out error 809 and sometimes 789. Now I know that my ports are OK, since the mac can connect without any problems. It's the same for: XP, Vista SP2 and 7. None can connect. If I connect to the VPN server directly (to the internal IP instead of WAN from the router), it connect's without a problem. Connecting using PPTP works... now if only L2TP would work thank you very much Windows! I have checked the counters on my linux router with iptables -L -nv and they do not raise when connecting. Not on ACCEPT and not on DROP. Only when connecting from the mac. I've found the guide from Microsoft to enable: AssumeUDPEncapsulationContextOnSendRule in the registery. I have set it to "2", on the server and client. Still no go. After that registery key it started giving me error 789 instead of 809. The IPSEC services are running on the client and server. Is there anyone that ppleease can help me with this! I've been working on this for 2 days and I'm out of options. Thanks!

    I have a Perl program named /usr/bin/octbatch running as a script on Fedora 17 Linux. When I run this command: /usr/bin/octbatch I get the error: Can't locate Time/Piece.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/local/lib64/perl5 /usr/local/share/perl5 /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/share/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/lib64/perl5 /usr/share/perl5) at /usr/bin/octbatch line 6. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/bin/octbatch line 6. Here is the relevant lines of the Perl script: #!/usr/bin/perl -wT $ENV{PATH} = "/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/local/bin"; use strict; use POSIX qw(setsid :sys_wait_h); use Time::Piece; use Time::Local; I have to install Piece.pm so perl can find it. I've already installed it with this command (using the defaults): /usr/bin/perl -MCPAN -e install Time::Piece I have the Piece.pm file in /home/el/perl5/lib/perl5/x86_64-linux-thread-multi/ however when I run the octbatch command I get the same error as above. Like it can't even find it.   • Failure to connect to admin share pops up dialog

    I'm having an issue with a curious error message when accessing the administrative share on a remote machine. Specifically, the client is logged in as the domain administrator on the machine A, and runs some code that tries to access the admin share on B (a domain member). The access is done in .NET, along these lines (though I am not sure if the method of access makes a difference): string path = @"\\B\admin$"; if (Directory.Exists(path)) { try { path += @"\temp\"; if (!Directory.Exists(path)) { Directory.CreateDirectory(path); } path += "myfile_remote"; File.Copy("myfile", path); Now, on some machines this fails. That is not a big problem as we have a fallback. I'd like to know why but it is not the real issue. The problem is that running this piece of code causes a dialog box to pop up for the logged-in user on B, saying "network error trying to access \\B\admin$\temp\myfile_remote. Contact the network administrator and ask for the correct permissions". Unfortunately, it is a foreign language Windows so I'll spare you all posting a screenshot. It is skinned like a standard Windows dialog box. Why exactly is that dialog box popping up for the user and is there anything I can do about it? Edit to add: B is a Windows 7 Enterprise installation. The client is not aware of any GPO policies being installed. There is AV from Trend Micro installed.

  • Error displaying a WinForm in Design mode with a custom control on it.

    I have a UserControl that is part of a Class library. I reference this project from my solution. This adds a control from the referenced project to my toolbox. I add tghe control to a form. Everything looks good, I compile all and run. Perfect... But when I close the .frm with the control on it and re-open it, I get this error. The code continues to run. It may have something to do with namespaces. The original namespace was simply "Design" and this was ambiguous and conflicting so i decided to rename it. I think that's when my problems began.   • Where can I find a list of all possible messages that an XmlException can contain?

    I'm writing an XML code editor and I want to display syntax errors in the user interface. Because my code editor is strongly constrained to a particular problem domain and audience, I want to rewrite certain XMLException messages to be more meaningful for users. For instance, an exception message like this: '"' is an unexpected token. The expected token is '='. Line 30, position 35 .. is very technical and not very informative to my audience. Instead, I'd like to rewrite it and other messages to something else. For completeness' sake that means I need to build up a dictionary of existing messages mapped to the new message I would like to display instead. To accomplish that I'm going to need a list of all possible messages XMLException can contain. Is there such a list somewhere? Or can I find out the possible messages through inspection of objects in C#? Edit: specifically, I am using XmlDocument.LoadXml to parse a string into an XmlDocument, and that method throws an XmlException when there are syntax errors. So specifically, my question is where I can find a list of messages applied to XmlException by XmlDocument.LoadXml. The discussion about there potentially being a limitless variation of actual strings in the Message property of XmlException is moot.

  • HTTP Error 403.18 - Forbidden - asp.net mvc web api

    I have deployed the default asp.net mvc 4 web api project to my windows server 2008 RC and am experiensing some issues with calling the web api actions. I'm quite new in the server/iis configuration part. I can open the home page, but the API part doesnt work. I'm getting such an error: HTTP Error 403.18 - Forbidden The specified request cannot be processed in the application pool that is configured for this resource on the Web server Module IIS Web Core Notification BeginRequest Handler StaticFile Error Code 0x00000000 Requested URL http://server.com:80/index.php?p=MvcApplication2_deploy/api/values/ Physical Path C:\Inetpub\vhosts\server.com\Webservice\index.php Logon Method Not yet determined Logon User Not yet determined I have checked Url Rewrite it is empty, have disabled WebDAV and also checked the Handler Mappings every thing seems to be ok there.   • Adding a hyperlink in a client report definition file (RDLC)

    This post shows you how to add a hyperlink to your RDLC report. In a previous post, I showed you how to create an RDLC report. We have been given the requirement to the report we created earlier, the Northwind Product report, to add a column that will contain hyperlinks which are unique per row.  The URLs will be RESTful with the ProductID at the end. Clicking on the URL will take them to a website like so: http://localhost/products/3  where 3 is the primary key of the product row clicked on. To start off, open the RDLC and add a new column to the product table.   Add text to the header (Details) and row (Product Website). Right click on the row (not header) and select “TextBox properties” Select Action – Go to URL. You could hard code a URL here but what we need is a URL that changes based on the ProductID.   Click on the expression button (fx) The expression builder gives you access to several functions and constants including the fields in your dataset. See this reference for more details: Common Expressions for ReportViewer Reports. Add the following expression: = "http://localhost/products/" & Fields!ProductID.Value Click OK to exit the Expression Builder. The report will not render because hyperlinks are disabled by default in the ReportViewer control. To enable it, add the following in your page load event (where rvProducts is the ID of your ReportViewerControl): protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { if (!IsPostBack) { rvProducts.LocalReport.EnableHyperlinks = true; } } We want our links to open in a new window so set the HyperLinkTarget property of the ReportViewer control to “_blank”   We are done adding hyperlinks to our report. Clicking on the links for each product pops open a new windows. The URL has the ProductID added at the end. Enjoy!

  • VMWare Server 2 Install is Failing w/ Error 25032: "failed to customize windows logon process"

    VMWare Server 2 install question here.* Straightforward question that would probably require a VMWare expert to pull apart, given that Google has been totally worthless on this. On a patched Windows XP machine, any attempt to install VMWare Server 2.0.1 results in failure, just prior to completion (progress bar is full but I can tell network adapter stuff hasn't been fired yet and most of the services haven't been instaled). The error: Error 25032. Failed to customize Windows logon process (). Please contact your administrator. Upon dismissing the error, you're treated to: Warning 25033. Failed to remove Windows logon customization (VMGINA.DLL). Please contact your administrator. Clicking "OK" rolls back your installation. Killing the installer and hoping that it somehow leaves a working install behind was also unproductive. *I hope install troubleshooting isn't outside the purview of serverfault, I'm typically an SO user.

  • Excel error "This workbook contains Excel 4.0 macros or Excel 5.0 modules"

    I have a workbook that was protected via the Protect Workbook feature. It was sent to someone else to modify. When they sent it back, it was unprotected and when I try to reprotect it I get this error, "This workbook contains Excel 4.0 macros or Excel 5.0 modules. If you would like to password protect or restrict permission to this document, you need to remove these macros." I looked and there are no new macros in the edited file. The original file contained the same macros and it was able to be write protected, so I'm not sure why the modified file is having a problem. What are common causes and solutions for this error and does it make sense for the modified file to have the error when the original doesn't?

  • OAM OVD integration - Error Encounterd while performance test "LDAP response read timed out, timeout used:2000ms"

    While working on OAM OVD integration for one of my client, I have been involved in the performance test of the products wherein I encountered OAM authentication failures while talking to OVD during heavy load. OAM logs revealed the following: oracle.security.am.common.policy.common.response.ResponseException: oracle.security.am.engines.common.identity.provider.exceptions.IdentityProviderException: OAMSSA-20012: Exception in getting user attributes for user : dummy_user1, idstore MyIdentityStore with exception javax.naming.NamingException: LDAP response read timed out, timeout used:2000ms.; remaining name 'ou=people,dc=oracle,dc=com' at oracle.security.am.common.policy.common.response.IdentityValueProvider.getUserAttribute(IdentityValueProvider.java:271) ... During the authentication and authorization process, OAM complains that the LDAP repository is taking too long to return user attributes.The default value is 2 seconds as can be seen from the exception, "2000ms". While troubleshooting the issue, it was found that we can increase the ldap read timeout in oam-config.xml.  For reference, the attribute to add in the oam-config.xml file is: <Setting Name="LdapReadTimeout" Type="xsd:string">2000</Setting> However it is not recommended to increase the time out unless it is absolutely necessary and ensure that back-end directory servers are working fine. Rather I took the path of tuning OVD in the following manner: 1) Navigate to ORACLE_INSTANCE/config/OPMN/opmn folder and edit opmn.xml. Search for <data id="java-options" ………> and edit the contents of the file with the highlighted items: <category id="start-options"><data id="java-bin" value="$ORACLE_HOME/jdk/bin/java"/><data id="java-options" value="-server -Xms1024m -Xmx1024m -Dvde.soTimeoutBackend=0 -Didm.oracle.home=$ORACLE_HOME -Dcommon.components.home=$ORACLE_HOME/../oracle_common -XX:+PrintGCDetails -XX:+PrintGCDateStamps -Xloggc:/opt/bea/Middleware/asinst_1/diagnostics/logs/OVD/ovd1/ovdGClog.log -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -Doracle.security.jps.config=$ORACLE_INSTANCE/config/JPS/jps-config-jse.xml"/><data id="java-classpath" value="$ORACLE_HOME/ovd/jlib/vde.jar$:$ORACLE_HOME/jdbc/lib/ojdbc6.jar"/></category></module-data><stop timeout="120"/><ping interval="60"/></process-type> When the system is busy, a ping from the Oracle Process Manager and Notification Server (OPMN) to Oracle Virtual Directory may fail. As a result, OPMN will restart Oracle Virtual Directory after 20 seconds (the default ping interval). To avoid this, consider increasing the ping interval to 60 seconds or more. 2) Navigate to ORACLE_INSTANCE/config/OVD/ovd1 folder.Open listeners.os_xml file and perform the following changes: · Search for <ldap id=”Ldap Endpoint”…….> and point the cursor to that line. · Change threads count to 200. · Change anonymous bind to Deny. · Change workQueueCapacity to 8096. Add a new parameter <useNIO> and set its value to false viz: <useNIO>false</useNio> Snippet: <ldap version="8" id="LDAP Endpoint"> ....... .......  <socketOptions><backlog>128</backlog>         <reuseAddress>false</reuseAddress>         <keepAlive>false</keepAlive>         <tcpNoDelay>true</tcpNoDelay>         <readTimeout>0</readTimeout>      </socketOptions> <useNIO>false</useNIO></ldap> Restart OVD server.
