    Hi, I have the following powershell script that creates a new website in IIS6: https://github.com/dagda1/iis6/blob/master/create-site.ps1 Does anyone know how I can assign an existing ssl cert to the website? I know I can set the port number using adsutil.vbs like this: cscript adsutil.vbs set w3svc/xxx/securebindings ":443:somewhere.com" But I am drawing a big blank when it comes to assigning an existing ssl certificate.   • php-fpm or nginx: bad gateway

    I'm getting a bad gateway error all the sudden for a site. I didn't change the configuration for the site, I just added a new server config where I put them under /etc/nginx/servers and it stopped working.   • UAE and the mysteries of unreachable websites

    I write here because I'm really lost, please stay with me because it's not easy to explain. A company asked me to set-up a private server, now I'm a programmer so I got a solution with technical support and cpanel which helped me to setup everything and it's working smoothless. I'm by no means a professional sysadmin, but I have a fair knowledge of server configurations, but this problem is way over my knowledge, and apparently way over the knowledge of most sysadmins, I really hope that here I'll find someone with enough experience to help me or at least give me more insight. Now this company for which I'm consulting operates in the UAE (United Arab Emirates) and from there the server is almost unreachable. It started with ns not registering in the UAE, after a week that sorted itself out and now the site is indeed reachable, but it takes almost 2 minutes to load a webpage with one line of text. Emails go in timeout. The domain currently parked there has been bought appositely for tests, the main one that was supposed to go there, after a catastrophic week has been transferred to a shared hosting solution in the UK, and from there it works like a charme. Now after doing some research I discovered that I'm not alone in this, there are several reports of webmasters discovering that their website is not reachable inside the UAE, and mind this has nothing to do with the state-wide block of questionable sites, because in that case an error message appears, this seems to be related to the infrastructure of the UAE, which apparently reroutes everything through their own "fake" internet. Apparently new servers with their own IP are not recognized (yet?) by the UAE infrastructure, while shared hosting solutions seeing that they operates tons of other websites are more likely to be part of the UAE network. Now my questions are: 1) Has someone a real explanation for this? The only thing I can think of is that the server is on a new IP that is not yet recognized by the UAE, but that doesn't explain why it loads (even if after 2 minutes). I don't have any help from within the UAE as the only people that are "experts" are questionable companies that simply try to sell their own services. 2) If there is really some kind of block of new servers, is it possible to know before if a server is reachable from within the UAE, currently this is not a ns problem as even accessing the server with its IP result in a 2 minute wait. 3) Can it be that the problem lies somewhere else? There are some tests that I can perform? I'm not physically in the UAE, but I can ask the people there, or use teamviewer. Could it be some misconfiguration on the server (mind that the site works EVERYWHERE else in the world). Thank you for ANY kind of help

    There is a site that I need to monitor for changes and pop an alarm if the change is over a certain threshold. Ideally it would use Growl to pop the notification but I'm open to alternatives. If there is an application out there that does this for purchase, I'll just buy it. If not, pointers to any Linux / Java / other recompilables that I could just add Growl support to would be very helpful!

In other words, I want to transfer video from one user of web-site to another one in real time. I want to have something that is already installed by many users or easy to install (Flash fulfills this requirements). And I want to have something free.

  • Lenovo R61i - audio not working with windows 7

    Has any one got a solution to this problem. I have installed windows 7 pro and installed audio (coexant) latest driver from the lenovo web site but it still does not work. I have seen many similar posts but no solution - just the usual - do you have the most recent driver.... etc. Is there any one that has solved this problem out there? (Driver details: Audio Driver 2.57 MB Normal Version 4.98.5.50)

    I was wondering if anyone does bulk adding of domains to your web hosting provider (Amazon, Linode, Rackspace, etc). I am thinking of creating a product that allows user to host their site on top of my web hosting and want something that can allow me to bulk add domains (and point DNS to my web hosting DNS) with as little manual work as possible. I am thinking of getting a VPS to do this. Is this possible even? Thanks Scott

    Hi all, We currently run pfSense with no problems, however we are looking at TMG as it is included in our partner subscription to MS and allows Windows 7 DirectConnect features to our domain for off-site users. I have had a google, but there don't seem to be any comparisons of TMG to pfSense. Anyone have experience/knowledge of this? Our infrastructure is Windows Server 2008 R2 behind pfSense at the moment.

  • Connect Outlook to our Exchange Server 2003 over the Internet

    We have a one mail server here on site running Exchange 2003, however we are part of a large exchange group - there are some 10 outlook mail servers around the world and we are just one of the administratove groups. We can access email via OWA and I have checked our server and is a RPC-HTTP Back end server and RPC is installed. We can connect via VPN, on lan, and OWA but I cannot get it to work via the internet. Any suggestions

  • Anyone know of a command-line torrent client to run on a server?

My ideal setup to keep my credits going would be some kind of media box that keeps and manages my music and videos etc. Ideally, I'd like this to be a headless box that I could just telnet into and have it run torrents that way.     I'm doing a lot of website design and I'm looking for a feature that would allow me to set the main colors of website in variables and use the variables in color overlays and such. It would make changing the color scheme of site a lot easier and that would help previewing different possibilities. So, does such feature exists, or is there some kind of plugin for it? I'm using CS3 and I have CS4 available if it's required for this.
