  I have a software that has to call an external web API from inside our firewall. Currently the only way to do this is through the HTTP proxy feature of the firewall; however, the software itself does not support proxy configuration. So I am wondering is it possible to setup a reverse proxy for the API that goes through the HTTP proxy? The server is running WS2003. I can install any software on it.

Like most kids, he's proficient with Google, YouTube, and Minecraft, but he's very curious, and I would like to teach him more.   I want to buy a Nokia 5530 and run Gizmo5 on it in order to receive and make calls. I want to get a call in number based in England and was wondering if receiving calls via the call in number on my mobile via wifi would use any of my callout credit? I ask because the Skype lite version uses your callout credit if you receive a call on it using your online number (it doesn't if you use the desktop version). Thanks!

  I'm wondering where to find detailed information regarding the Microsoft Advanced Windows Firewall command line settings. For instance, from reading a couple technet articles I've learned that I can run the following: netsh advfirewall firewall set rule group=”File and Printer Sharing” new enable=Yes The bit about 'group="File and Printer Sharing"' is the part I'm having trouble finding documentation for.   My laptop (Acer Aspire 6930) has a hotkey to open the web browser. However, I just got Firefox and I was wondering how I can change the hotkey so that it opens Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. • Software for browsing/searching SQL Server transaction logs

  I'd like to know whether there is any piece of software that will allow the browsing/searching of SQL Server transaction logs (any version). We've previously used Lumigent Log Explorer against SQL Server 2000 which fulfilled our need, but the product no longer exists and Lumigent's closest replacement doesn't appear to support SQL 2008 (according to the data sheet). I've discovered something called ApexSQL Audit which may fit the bill, but I'm wondering if anyone has any experience of it, how it compares with Log Explorer, and whether there are any good alternatives out there. • Is it possible to map a network path to any cloud storage hosts?

  I use Microsoft SkyDrive and Google Drive. I was wondering if it was possible to map to a folder on a cloud service via FTP or something similar? I don't see any obvious ways on Google, or SkyDrive web sites. I know they each have their custom applications to access the cloud storage files. But my network admins block traffic on those applications. So I was looking for another way to access the files (not through the web site either).

• Libboost 1.38.0 on Ubuntu 11.04 Natty

  I have a Linux/Ubuntu DLL that depends on libboost_thread-mt.so.1.38.0 (As shown in the picture below). I've tried various ways including building my own version of LibBoost 1.38.0 yet none of my methods have worked. I was wondering if 1.38.0 is available precompiled on earlier versions of Ubuntu or if my architecture (64 Bit) is not compatible with LibBoost.   Hi, on Mac, you know there is no 'merge files' when you command+c/command+v some folder on another one, it actually replaces it. I'm simply wondering on what UNIX is this based? Because correct me if I'm wrong, but "cp - R" DOES merge files, no? And that's what I'm doing via the Finder, copying some files and folders... thanks!
