  • Jquery and IE problem!

    - by NikosV
    Not even the loading box does appear on IE... in firefox works excellent! $(".form_edit_review").live('submit', function(e){ e.preventDefault(); $submittingForm = $(this); loading("Updating..."); postData = $submittingForm.serialize(); $.post('/review/update', postData, function(xml){ closeBoxy(); var success = $("success", xml).text(); var message = $("message", xml).text(); if (success == "false") { boxy_alert(message); } else { $submittingForm.hide().parents("div.resto_review_bg").find(".review_text").html($submittingForm.find("textarea").val()).show(); } }); });

  • Zend_Test_PHPUnit_ControllerTestCase: Test view parameters and not rendered output

    - by erenon
    Hi, I'm using Zend_Test_PHPUnit_ControllerTestCase to test my controllers. This class provides various ways to test the rendered output, but I don't want to get my view scripts involved. I'd like to test my view's vars. Is there a way to access to the controllers view object? Here is an example, what I'm trying to do: <?php class Controller extends Zend_Controller_Action { public function indexAction() { $this-view->foo = 'bar'; } } class ControllerTest extends Zend_Test_PHPUnit_ControllerTestCase { public function testShowCallsServiceFind() { $this->dispatch('/controller'); //doesn't work, there is no such method: $this->assertViewVar('foo', 'bar'); //doesn't work: $this-assertEquals( 'bar', $this->getView()->foo ); } }

  • Why can't I use the return from an insertAfter as a regular jQuery object?

    - by joachim
    I'm trying to insert a link after form elements to clear them. This demo code with headings doesn't work: h2 = $('h2'); clickytest = $('click me').insertAfter(h2).click(function() { $(this).append('foo'); }); But this does: clickytest = $('click me').insertAfter(h2); $('a.clicky').click(function() { $(this).append('foo'); }); The only difference is I've gone back and re-selected the new elements, rather than use what insertAfter returns. If on the other hand there is only one H2 in the whole document, then the first version works. What's going on? I've tried playing with each() but I'm not sure exactly what jQuery is doing here.

  • Python: Filter a dictionary

    - by Adam Matan
    Hi, I have a dictionary of points, say: >>> points={'a':(3,4), 'b':(1,2), 'c':(5,5), 'd':(3,3)} I want to create a new dictionary with all the points whose x and y value is smaller than 5, i.e. points 'a', 'b' and 'd'. According to the the book, each dictionary has the items() function, which returns a list of (key, pair) tuple: >>> points.items() [('a', (3, 4)), ('c', (5, 5)), ('b', (1, 2)), ('d', (3, 3))] So I have written this: >>> for item in [i for i in points.items() if i[1][0]<5 and i[1][1]<5]: ... points_small[item[0]]=item[1] ... >>> points_small {'a': (3, 4), 'b': (1, 2), 'd': (3, 3)} Is there a more elegant way? I was expecting Python to have some super-awesome dictionary.filter(f) function... Adam

  • How to use/manipulate return value from nested boost::bind

    - by JQ
    I have two functions: 1. A & DataSource(); 2. void DataConsumer( A * ); What I want to achieve: Using one statement to assemble them into one functor. I have tried: 1. boost::function< void() func( boost::bind( DataConsumer, & boost::bind( DataSource ) ) ); certainly it didn't work, compiler says it can not convert 'boost::_bi::bind_t ' to 'A *' 2. boost::function< void() func( boost::bind( DataConsumer, boost::addressof( boost::bind( DataSource ) ) )); compiler says cannot convert parameter 1 from 'boost::_bi::bind_t' to 'A &' Question: how to use return value from the nested boost::bind ? or if you want to use boost::lambda::bind.

  • How to use ORDER BY, LOWER .. in SQL SERVER 2008 with non-unicode data

    - by hgulyan
    Hi, The question is about Armenian. I'm using sql server 2005, collation SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS, data mostly is in Armenian and we can't use unicode. I tested on ms sql 2008 with a windows collation for armenian language ( Cyrillic_General_100_ ), I have found here, ( http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms188046.aspx ) but it didn't help. I have a function, that orders hex values and a lower function, which takes each char in each string and converts it to it's lower form, but it's not acceptable solution, it works really slow, calling that functions on every column of a huge table. Is there any solution for this issue not using unicode and not working with hex values manually?

  • JavaScript: jQuery Datepicker - simple highlighting of specific days, who can help? (source inside)

    - by Klicker.eu
    Hi guys, i want to use the Datepicker for highlighting specific dates. Here is my latest code: <script type="text/javascript"> var dates = [30/04/2010, 01/05/2010]; $(function(){ $('#datepicker').datepicker({ numberOfMonths: [2,3], dateFormat: 'dd/mm/yy', beforeShowDay: highlightDays }); function highlightDays(date) { for (var i = 0; i < dates.length; i++) { if (dates[i] == date) { return [true, 'highlight']; } } return [true, '']; } }); </script> my CSS is: #highlight, .highlight { background-color: #cccccc; } Well the calendar comes up, but there is nothing highlighted. Where is the problem in my code? If anyone could help that would be great. Another option/solution could be: disable all dates, but make available only dates in an array. Thanks!

  • Not all parameters get sent in jquery ajax call

    - by rksprst
    I have a strange error where my jquery ajax request doesn't submit all the parameters. $.ajax({ url: "/ajax/doAssignTask", type: 'GET', contentType: "application/json", data: { "just_a_task": just_a_task, "fb_post_date": fb_post_date, "task_fb_postId": task_fb_postId, "sedia_task_guid": sedia_task_guid, "itemGuid": itemGuid, "itemType": itemType, "taskName": taskName, "assignedToUserGuid": assignedToUserGuid, "taskDescription": taskDescription }, success: function(data, status) { //success code }, error: function(xhr, desc, err) { //error code } }); But using firebug (and debugging) I can see that only these variables are posted: assignedToUserGuid itemGuid itemType just_a_task taskDescription taskName It's missing fb_post_date, task_fb_postId, and sedia_task_guid I have no idea what would cause it to post only some items and not others? Anyone know? Data is sent to asp.net controller that returns jsonresult (hence the contentType) Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    Hi all, Today I met an link problem after updating the VS version from 2008 to 2010, the error is something like this: error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol "public: static void __cdecl std::_String_base::_Xran(void)" (?_Xran@_String_base@std@@SAXXZ) referenced in function "public: class std::basic_string,class std::allocator & __thiscall std::basic_string,class std::allocator ::assign(class std::basic_string,class std::allocator const &,unsigned int,unsigned int)" (?assign@?$basic_string@DU?$char_traits@D@std@@V?$allocator@D@2@@std@@QAEAAV12@ABV12@II@Z) error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol "public: static void __cdecl std::_String_base::_Xlen(void)" (?_Xlen@_String_base@std@@SAXXZ) referenced in function "protected: bool __thiscall std::basic_string,class std::allocator ::_Grow(unsigned int,bool)" (?_Grow@?$basic_string@DU?$char_traits@D@std@@V?$allocator@D@2@@std@@IAE_NI_N@Z) I have googled this issue on the web, and found a similar post in this address : http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en/vcgeneral/thread/5ac28a31-3339-4db1-90f4-68edad360309 But none of these answers can solve my problem. Could anyone give me some tips on how to solve this issue? Thanks a lot for the help!

  • Is there any way to get MSVC to pass structs arguments in registers on x64?

    - by Luke
    For a function with signature: struct Pair { void *v1, *v2 }; void f(Pair p); compiled on x64, I would like Pair's fields to be passed via register, as if the function was: void f(void *v1, void *v2); Compiling a test with gcc 4.2.1 for x86_64 on OSX 10.6, I can see this is exactly what happens by examining the disassembly. However, compiling with MSVC 2008 for x64 on Windows, the disassembly shows that Pair is passed on the stack. I understand that platform ABIs can prevent this optimization; does anyone know any MSVC-specific annotations, calling conventions, flags, or other hacks that can get this to work? Thank you!

  • IE7 resize problems

    - by moshe_ravid
    i have a page that contains content which need to be dynamically changed according to the current page size. in order to do that, during the onload event, i attach some JS function to the "onresize" window event. it looks like that: window.onresize = function() { //do something here... }; This is working fine in any browse, except IE7! These are the problems i'm having: It seems that in IE7, when i resize the window vertically only (i.e. clicking with the mouse on the bottom border, and drag it down), it does not fire the "onresize" event. sometimes, i get an infinite loop of "onresize" event, causing the browser to hang forever. I will appreciate any help with any of these issues. thanks, Moe

  • Are there any differences between SQL Server and MySQL when it comes to preventing SQL injection?

    - by Derek Adair
    I am used to developing in PHP/MySQL and have no experience developing with SQL Server. I've skimmed over the PHP MSSQL documentation and it looks similar to MySQLi in some of the methods I read about. For example, with MySQL I utilize the function mysql_real_excape_string(). Is there a similar function with PHP/SQL Server? What steps do I need to take in order to protect against SQL injection with SQL Server? What are the differences between SQL Server and MySQL pertaining to SQL injection prevention? also - is this post accurate? is the escape string character for SQL Server a single quote?

  • Need to calculate offsetRight in javascript

    - by Dan Bailiff
    I need to calculate the offsetRight of a DOM object. I already have some rather simple code for getting the offsetLeft, but there is no javascript offsetRight property. If I add the offsetLeft and offsetWidth, will that work? Or is there a better way? function getOffsetLeft(obj) { if(obj == null) return 0; var offsetLeft = 0; var tmp = obj; while(tmp != null) { offsetLeft += tmp.offsetLeft; tmp = tmp.offsetParent; } return offsetLeft; } function getOffsetRight(obj) { if (obj == null) return 0; var offsetRight = 0; var tmp = obj; while (tmp != null) { offsetRight += tmp.offsetLeft + tmp.offsetWidth; tmp = tmp.offsetParent; } return offsetRight; }

  • Configure Rails app to retrieve ALL emails from inbox

    - by Kartik Rao
    I'm using the following code to retrieve emails from my Gmail inbox. def get_mail Net::POP3.enable_ssl(OpenSSL::SSL::VERIFY_NONE) Net::POP3.start('pop.gmail.com', 995, "uname","pass") do |pop| unless pop.mails.empty? pop.each_mail do |mail| email = TMail::Mail.parse(mail.pop) email_obj=EmailedQueries.new email_obj.save_email(email.from,email.subject,email.body_html) end end end end This works just fine, but it retrieves only new mails from the inbox. Instead, I want a seperate function that will retrieve ALL emails from the inbox. This function will be used rarely. I wont be retrieving all mails all the time. Only when necessary. Thanks!

  • Using attribute text value in AngularJS directive

    - by C1pher
    Using a YouTube tutorial created by John Lindquist, I was able to create a directive using a template. See fiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/37PSs/ Now, I want to use the value of the attribute as a variable to a function call. Something like this: html: <hello-world name="World"></hello-world> javascript - directive: template: '<span>myFunction({{name}})</span>' javascript - myFunction(theirName): return ("Hello, " + String(theirName) + "!"); The closest I've been able to get is passing an [object Window] to my function.

  • jquery ui sortable serialize from children

  • ASP.Net JSON Web Service Post Form Data

    - by Will D
    I have a ASP.NET web service decorated with System.Web.Script.Services.ScriptService() so it can return json formatted data. This much is working for me, but ASP.Net has a requirement that parameters to the web service must be in json in order to get json out. I'm using jquery to run my ajax calls and there doesn't seem to be an easy way to create a nice javascript object from the form elements. I have looked at serialiseArray in the json2 library but it doesn't encode the field names as property name in the object. If you have 2 form elements like this <input type="text" name="namefirst" id="namefirst" value="John"/> <input type="text" name="namelast" id="namelast" value="Doe"/> calling $("form").serialize() will get you the standard query string namefirst=John&namelast=Doe calling JSON.stringify($("form").serializeArray()) will get you the (bulky) json representation [{"name":"namefirst","value":"John"},{"name":"namelast","value":"Doe"}] This will work when passing to the web service but its ugly as you have to have code like this to read it in: Public Class NameValuePair Public name As String Public value As String End Class <WebMethod()> _ Public Function GetQuote(ByVal nvp As NameValuePair()) As String End Function You would also have to wrap that json text inside another object nameed nvp to make the web service happy. Then its more work as all you have is an array of NameValuePair when you want an associative array. I might be kidding myself but i imagined something more elegant when i started this project - more like this Public Class Person Public namefirst As String Public namelast As String End Class which would require the json to look something like this: {"namefirst":"John","namelast":"Doe"} Is there an easy way to do this? Obviously it is simple for a form with two parameters but when you have a very large form concatenating strings gets ugly. Having nested objects would also complicate things The cludge I have settled on for the moment is to use the standard name value pair format stuffed inside a json object. This is compact and fast {"q":"namefirst=John&namelast=Doe"} then have a web method like this on the server that parses the query string into an associate array. <WebMethod()> _ Public Function AjaxForm(ByVal q As String) as string Dim params As NameValueCollection = HttpUtility.ParseQueryString(q) 'do stuff return "Hello" End Sub As far a cludges go this one seems reasonably elegant in terms of amount of code, but my question is: is there a better way? Is there a generally accepted way of passing form data to asp.net web/script services?

  • Reading ASCII numbers using "D" instead of "E" for scientific notation using C

    - by Arrieta
    Hello, I have a list of numbers which looks like this: 1.234D+1 or 1.234D-02. I want to read the file using C. The function atof will merely ignore the D and translate only the mantissa. The function fscanf will not accept the format '%10.6e' because it expects an E instead of a D in the exponent. When I ran into this problem in Python, I have up and merely used a string substitution before converting from string to float. But in C, I am sure there must be another way. So, how would you read a file with numbers using D instead of E for scientific notation? Notice that I do not mean how to read the strings themselves, but rather how to convert them to floats. Thanks.

  • how to remove dynamically loaded images in javascript

    - by jesse
    I'm loading in 3 images (named 1.jpg, 2.jpg, 3jpg) dynamically to 3 divs called "div1", "div2" and "div3". function loadImages() { for (var i = 1; i < 3; i++ ) { var img = document.createElement("img"); img.src = "vegetables/"+i+".jpg"; img.id = "a"+i+""; var divName = "div"+i+""; document.getElementById(divName).appendChild(img); } } That works, but the removing part I can't seem to get to work.. function removeImages() { for (var i = 1; i < 3; i++ ) { var oldImages = "a"+i+""; var divName = "div"+i+""; document.getElementById(divName).removeChild(oldImages); } } Thank you.

  • DrawString with character wrapping

    - by Roy
    Hi all, I'm creating a fatal error dialog for a Windows Mobile Application using C#. The problem is when I try to draw the stacktrace using DrawString, half of my stacktrace is getting clipped off because DrawString uses word wrapping instead of character wrapping. For those who don't understand the explanation: When i draw the stacktrace, it comes out as this: at company.application.name.space.Funct at company.application.name.Function(St at etc. etc. And i want it to print like this: at company.application.name.space.Funct ion(String sometext, Int32 somenumbe r) at company.application.name.Function(St ring sometext, Int32 somenumber, Int 32 anothernumber) at etc. etc. Is this possible in Csharp?

  • Choosing random action, Flash AS3

    - by esryl
    I have 2 actions in a Flash file that I would like to test for conversion. One is opening a link in a tab/window, the other loading the content in a Colorbox iframe over the page. How do I randomly choose one of the following actions? I currently listen for a click on a button: clickJoin.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,toJoin); My two actions are: navigateToURL(new URLRequest("http://www.google.com/"), '_blank'); and ExternalInterface.call('$.fn.colorbox({ href: "http://www.google.com/", width:"80%", height:"80%", iframe:true, onLoad:function(){ $("#player").css({"visibility":"hidden"}); }, onClosed:function(){ $("#player").css({"visibility":"visible"}); }}) ');

  • Using PHP's IMAP library triggers Kaspersky's Antivirus

    - by TMG
    Hello, I just started today working with PHP's IMAP library, and while imap_fetchbody or imap_body are called, it is triggering my Kaspersky antivirus. The viruses are Trojan.Win32.Agent.dmyq and Trojan.Win32.FraudPack.aoda. I am running this off a local development machine with XAMPP and Kaspersky AV. Now, I am sure there are viruses there since there is spam in the box (who doesn't need a some viagra or vicodin these days?). And I know that since the raw body includes attachments and different mime-types, bad stuff can be in the body. So my question is: are there any risks using these libraries? I am assuming that the IMAP functions are retrieving the body, caching it to disk/memory and the AV scanning it sees the data. Is that correct? Are there any known security concerns using this library (I couldn't find any)? Does it clean up cached message parts perfectly or might viral files be sitting somewhere? Is there a better way to get plain text out of the body than this? Right now I am using the following code (credit to Kevin Steffer): function get_mime_type(&$structure) { $primary_mime_type = array("TEXT", "MULTIPART","MESSAGE", "APPLICATION", "AUDIO","IMAGE", "VIDEO", "OTHER"); if($structure->subtype) { return $primary_mime_type[(int) $structure->type] . '/' .$structure->subtype; } return "TEXT/PLAIN"; } function get_part($stream, $msg_number, $mime_type, $structure = false, $part_number = false) { if(!$structure) { $structure = imap_fetchstructure($stream, $msg_number); } if($structure) { if($mime_type == get_mime_type($structure)) { if(!$part_number) { $part_number = "1"; } $text = imap_fetchbody($stream, $msg_number, $part_number); if($structure->encoding == 3) { return imap_base64($text); } else if($structure->encoding == 4) { return imap_qprint($text); } else { return $text; } } if($structure->type == 1) /* multipart */ { while(list($index, $sub_structure) = each($structure->parts)) { if($part_number) { $prefix = $part_number . '.'; } $data = get_part($stream, $msg_number, $mime_type, $sub_structure,$prefix . ($index + 1)); if($data) { return $data; } } // END OF WHILE } // END OF MULTIPART } // END OF STRUTURE return false; } // END OF FUNCTION $connection = imap_open($server, $login, $password); $count = imap_num_msg($connection); for($i = 1; $i <= $count; $i++) { $header = imap_headerinfo($connection, $i); $from = $header->fromaddress; $to = $header->toaddress; $subject = $header->subject; $date = $header->date; $body = get_part($connection, $i, "TEXT/PLAIN"); }

  • jQuery event to trigger action when a div is made visible

Is it possible to attach some sort of "isvisible" event handler to arbitrary divs and have certain code run when they the div is made visible? I would like something like the following pseudocode: $(function() { $('#contentDiv').isvisible(function() { alert("do something"); }); }); The alert("do something") code should not fire until the contentDiv is actually made visible. Thanks.

The code execution stops atTThread.Synchronize command. I guess on these machines the function call is trapped inside a deadlock Any chance to figure out the real problem behind ? The procedure BitMap_PaintImageProcess , here I create a Bitmap and do a lot of painting stuff , but is seems that this code is never executed ?

  • Getting the executed output of an aspx page after a short delay

    - by Ankur
    Hi all, I have an aspx page which has some javascript code like <script> setTimeout("document.write('" + place.address + "');",1); </script> As it is clear from the code it will going to write something on the page after a very short delay of 1 ms. I have created an another page to get the page executed by some query string and get its output. The problem is I can not avoid the delay as simply writing document.write(place.address); will not print anything as it takes a little time to get values so if i set it in setTimeout for delayed output of 1 ms it always return me a value If I request the output from another page using System.Net.WebClient wc = new System.Net.WebClient(); System.IO.StreamReader sr = new System.IO.StreamReader(wc.OpenRead("http://localhost:4859/Default.aspx?lat=" + lat + "&lng=" + lng)); string strData = sr.ReadToEnd(); I get the source code of the document instead of the desired output can anyone help me out for either avoiding that delay or else delayed the client request ouput so that i get a desired value not the source code The js on default.aspx is <script type="text/javascript"> var geocoder; var address; function initialize() { geocoder = new GClientGeocoder(); var qs=new Querystring(); if(qs.get("lat") && qs.get("lng")) { geocoder.getLocations(new GLatLng(qs.get("lat"),qs.get("lng")),showAddress); } else { document.write("Invalid Access Or Not valid lat long is provided."); } } function getAddress(overlay, latlng) { if (latlng != null) { address = latlng; geocoder.getLocations(latlng, showAddress); } } function showAddress(r) { place = r.Placemark[0]; setTimeout("document.write('" + place.address + "');",1); //document.write(place.address); } </script> and the code on requestClient.aspx is as System.Net.WebClient wc = new System.Net.WebClient(); System.IO.StreamReader sr = new System.IO.StreamReader(wc.OpenRead("http://localhost:4859/Default.aspx?lat=" + lat + "&lng=" + lng)); string strData = sr.ReadToEnd();
