  I'm making a site, and will be allowing guests to vote/comment. How should I go about storing the user info? I wouldn't like the info to be cleared if someone deletes the cookie (SO handles guest users via cookies I guess). If someone clears cookies and changes the ip at once, then only should the guest user info should be lost. Should I use sessions in php for this?

  Hi, I have an SQL table like this : sales(product,timestamp) I want to display a chart using Open Flash Chart but i don't know how to get the total sales per hour within the last 12 hours. ( the timestamp column is the sale date ) By example i will end up with an array like this : array(12,5,8,6,10,35,7,23,4,5,2,16) every number is the total sales in each hour.   Hello, I'm basically looking to simply print out each of the allowed values in a CCK field.. i know the allowed values are stored inside a text field within the table: 'content_node_field'. the values are then stored within 'global_settings' I'm looking to somehow print out each individual allowed value using a PHP loop. however with all values being stored within one text field.. im finding it hard to print out each value individually.

  I am designing a desktop application in C#, which needs to be connected to my online mysql database. I tried to give access in control panel a "%" which means from any IP, but it is not working. May be the hosting provider (bigrock) not allowing that.   I have a jQueryUI slider on my website that deals with price range. I have a products table in mysql that has various entries. I am using the slider to filter the results, but I need to set the minimum and maximum prices from the records in my database. Should I just generate (with php) hidden fields in my html that contain the minimum and maximum and then use jQuery to obtain them? Or is there a better way of achieving this, maybe using AJAX?
