• I have the URL www.something.com/HereWeGo, I want to get HereWeGo without the 404 error

  Hello, Consider the URL www.something.com/HereWeGo. When someone enters the url, the site shows a 404 error since the directory does not exists. I can parse the URL to get the query and HereWeGo, but cannot stop it from going to a 404 error. How can I achieve it by PHP, if it is possible to avoid .htaccess now Thanks Jean

However, given that it's binary-safe would it have a problem if it was only given valid UTF-8 strings as arguments? • mod_rewrite browser trying to get content from non-existant dir

  I have my mod_rewrite set up so that it redirects all requests that aren't targeting existing files or directories to index.php?req=* where * is the request. Works all fine but when I send the browser to something like this: http://myurl/A/B/C The browser tries to find all images, stylesheets in the non-existing folder C. How can I make the browser to look in / instead of the 'virtual' directory? Do I have to put an absolute path everywhere?

  Hi, I try to use the SQL statement SELECT * FROM table ORDER BY column via an PDO-Object in PHP. Problem is, that I always get an error (Call to a member function fetchall() on a non-object - that means, the query did not return a PDO-object) when using the names of all columnname EXCEPT for ID. When I query SELECT * FROM table ORDER BY ID it works. ID is the PRIMARY INTEGER KEY, all other columns are TEXT or NUMERIC, neither of them would works with the ORDER BY clause. Any ideas?
