  • iPhone localization - some localized XIBs do not load

    - by Jacek
Hello, I have made an iPhone app with localized versions. It mostly works fine, but there are two views in which localized NIBs do not load. Standard NIBs (in English) are used. I am sure I made localization properly ("Get Info", "Make file localizable", "Add Localization", added "pl" - for Polish, and then edited created NIB). All the other views are fine. What might be the problem? Thanks for helping me.

  • How to set multiple permissions in one class view, depending on http request

    - by andrew13331
How can I change the permissions depending on if it is a get or a post. Is it possible to do it in one class or would I have to separate it out into two classes? If its a get I want "permission_classes = (permissions.IsAuthenticated)" and if its a post I want "permission_classes = (permissions.IsAdminUser)" class CategoryList(generics.ListCreateAPIView): queryset = QuestionCategory.objects.all() serializer_class = QuestionCategorySerializer permission_classes = (permissions.IsAuthenticated,)

  • How to stop emacs from replacing underbar with <- in ess-mode

    - by SetJmp
ess-mode is "Emacs speaks statistics." This mode is useful for editing programs for R or Splus (two separate statistics packages). In my buffer, when ever I type '_' the character is replaced with "<-" which is very frustrating. Is there a emacs lisp statement to turn off this behavior? Thanks, SetJmp emacs: 22.1.1 ess-mode release (unknown)

  • MEF and Prism integration

    - by Wasim
Hi all , I need your advice deciding on a new project architecture I'm going to implement. Can I use MEF and Prism side by side? Is it too complex to accomplish this? Can make the same stuff Prism does with MEF? Right now, two features Prism gives, but are not in MEF are Regions and the Event Aggregator. Can I do everything else with MEF, rather than Prism? Thanks in advance ...

  • Java: minimum number of operations for conjunctive inequalities?

    - by HH
I try to simplify conditionals in for (int t=0,size=fo.getPrintViewsPerFile().size();t<size&&t<countPerFile;t++){, more precisely: t<s&&t<c You need to compare two times, then calc the boolean value from them. Is there any simpler way to do it? If no, how can you prove it? I can simplify it to some extent, proof tree.

  • lucene index missing files

    - by Akhil
I have _0.cfs file of a lucene index directory but segments.gen and segments_2 are missing. Can I generate the segments.gen and segments_2 files without having to regenerate the _0.cfs file. Does these "segments" files contain any index specific data, which will thus force me to regnerate the entire index again. Or can I just generate the two "segments" file by copying these from another lucen index directory gnerated with the same lucene version.

  • Strong Signing, and Updating A Referencing Assembly

    - by Alan
Hi, I have two, third party assemblies: Foo.dll and ReferencesFoo.dll As noted, ReferencesFoo.dll is an assembly that has a reference to Foo.dll For my application, I need to resign these assemblies. I use ildasm/ilasm in combination along with a signing key to resign them, however, ReferencesFoo.dll still contains (in it's manifest?) the reference to the Foo.dll old public key and public key token. So, how do I sign both dll's with my key, and update the references in ReferencesFoo.dll without getting the source code and recompiling?

  • Enable/Disable WPF buttons depending on the number of clicks

    - by eibhrum
I have two buttons 'btnPrev' and 'btnNext' What I want to do is to be able to determine the number of clicks of the button so that I could enable and disable them. The process is almost similar to 'paging' method. Initial state: btnPrev - disabled, btnNext - enabled 1st Click (btnNext): btnPrev - enabled, btnNext - enabled 2nd Click (btnNext): btnPrev - enabled, btnNext - enabled 3rd Click (btnNext): btnPrev - enabled, btnNext - disabled the idea is almost the same vice-versa (for btnPrev).

  • Mix Enviroment Debugging ( C# Fortran) in VS 2008

    - by Ngu Soon Hui
I have two visual studio projects, one written in C#, another written in fortran unmanaged code ( Intel Fortran compiler). Both of them are attached to one solution. The C# is the frontend winform, whereas the fortran project is the backend. Is there any tutorials that teach on how to step into code direct from C#?

  • Putting update logic in your migrations

    - by Daniel Abrahamsson
A couple of times I've been in the situation where I've wanted to refactor the design of some model and have ended up putting update logic in migrations. However, as far as I've understood, this is not good practice (especially since you are encouraged to use your schema file for deployment, and not your migrations). How do you deal with these kind of problems? To clearify what I mean, say I have a User model. Since I thought there would only be two kinds of users, namely a "normal" user and an administrator, I chose to use a simple boolean field telling whether the user was an adminstrator or not. However, after I while I figured I needed some third kind of user, perhaps a moderator or something similar. In this case I add a UserType model (and the corresponding migration), and a second migration for removing the "admin" flag from the user table. And here comes the problem. In the "add_user_type_to_users" migration I have to map the admin flag value to a user type. Additionally, in order to do this, the user types have to exist, meaning I can not use the seeds file, but rather create the user types in the migration (also considered bad practice). Here comes some fictional code representing the situation: class CreateUserTypes < ActiveRecord::Migration def self.up create_table :user_types do |t| t.string :name, :nil => false, :unique => true end #Create basic types (can not put in seed, because of future migration dependency) UserType.create!(:name => "BASIC") UserType.create!(:name => "MODERATOR") UserType.create!(:name => "ADMINISTRATOR") end def self.down drop_table :user_types end end class AddTypeIdToUsers < ActiveRecord::Migration def self.up add_column :users, :type_id, :integer #Determine type via the admin flag basic = UserType.find_by_name("BASIC") admin = UserType.find_by_name("ADMINISTRATOR") User.all.each {|u| u.update_attribute(:type_id, (u.admin?) ? admin.id : basic.id)} #Remove the admin flag remove_column :users, :admin #Add foreign key execute "alter table users add constraint fk_user_type_id foreign key (type_id) references user_types (id)" end def self.down #Re-add the admin flag add_column :users, :admin, :boolean, :default => false #Reset the admin flag (this is the problematic update code) admin = UserType.find_by_name("ADMINISTRATOR") execute "update users set admin=true where type_id=#{admin.id}" #Remove foreign key constraint execute "alter table users drop foreign key fk_user_type_id" #Drop the type_id column remove_column :users, :type_id end end As you can see there are two problematic parts. First the row creation part in the first model, which is necessary if I would like to run all migrations in a row, then the "update" part in the second migration that maps the "admin" column to the "type_id" column. Any advice?

  • Rails Multiple Models per Form, Optional FK Association

    - by ckarbass
Given the following pseudo-code: Company has_many :jobs Job belongs_to :company I'm creating a form to post a new job. In the form, I want to have two fields for an optional company. On submission, if a company was entered, I want to either create or update the company and associate it with the new job. I know if the company exists by searching the companies table for the company's url. Is it possible to do this using form_for, fields_for, and accepts_nested_attributes_for given the company may not exist?

  • Why does 'localhost' in web references cause SocketExceptions?

    - by Sam
I have two .net web services deployed to the same IIS server using SSL, one that references the other. If I set that web reference to 'localhost', some calls fail with this exception: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. --- System.Net.WebException: Unable to connect to the remote server --- System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it If I set it to the actual machine name, it works. Why?

  • masm division overflow

    - by Help I'm in college
I'm trying divide two numbers in assembly. I'm working out of the Irvine assembly for intel computers book and I can't make division work for the life of me. Here's my code .code main PROC call division exit main ENDP division PROC mov eax, 4 mov ebx, 2 div ebx call WriteDec ret divison ENDP END main Where WriteDec should write whatever number is in the eax register (should be set to the quotient after the division call). Instead everytime I run it visual studio crashes (the program does compile however).

  • How Can I create different selectors for accepting new connection in java NIO

    - by Deepak
I want to write java tcp socket programming using java NIO. Its working fine. But I am using the same selector for accepting reading from and writing to the clients. How Can I create different selectors for accepting new connection in java NIO, reading and writing. Is there any online help. Actually when I am busy in reading or writing my selector uses more iterator. So If more number of clients are connected then performance of accepting new coneection became slow. But I donot want the accepting clients to be slow // Create a selector and register two socket channels Selector selector = null; try { // Create the selector selector = Selector.open(); // Create two non-blocking sockets. This method is implemented in // e173 Creating a Non-Blocking Socket. SocketChannel sChannel1 = createSocketChannel("hostname.com", 80); SocketChannel sChannel2 = createSocketChannel("hostname.com", 80); // Register the channel with selector, listening for all events sChannel1.register(selector, sChannel1.validOps()); sChannel2.register(selector, sChannel1.validOps()); } catch (IOException e) { } // Wait for events while (true) { try { // Wait for an event selector.select(); } catch (IOException e) { // Handle error with selector break; } // Get list of selection keys with pending events Iterator it = selector.selectedKeys().iterator(); // Process each key at a time while (it.hasNext()) { // Get the selection key SelectionKey selKey = (SelectionKey)it.next(); // Remove it from the list to indicate that it is being processed it.remove(); try { processSelectionKey(selKey); } catch (IOException e) { // Handle error with channel and unregister selKey.cancel(); } } } public void processSelectionKey(SelectionKey selKey) throws IOException { // Since the ready operations are cumulative, // need to check readiness for each operation if (selKey.isValid() && selKey.isConnectable()) { // Get channel with connection request SocketChannel sChannel = (SocketChannel)selKey.channel(); boolean success = sChannel.finishConnect(); if (!success) { // An error occurred; handle it // Unregister the channel with this selector selKey.cancel(); } } if (selKey.isValid() && selKey.isReadable()) { // Get channel with bytes to read SocketChannel sChannel = (SocketChannel)selKey.channel(); // See e174 Reading from a SocketChannel } if (selKey.isValid() && selKey.isWritable()) { // Get channel that's ready for more bytes SocketChannel sChannel = (SocketChannel)selKey.channel(); } } Thanks Deepak
