    Hi, I have webservice, with method: [WebMethod] public byte[] GetFile(string FName) { System.IO.FileStream fs1 = null; fs1 = System.IO.File.Open(FName, FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read); byte[] b1 = new byte[fs1.Length]; fs1.Read(b1, 0, (int)fs1.Length); fs1.Close(); return b1; } and it works with small file like 1mb, but when it comes to photoshop's file (about 1,5gb) I get: System.OutOfMemoryException on this line: Byte[] img = new Byte[fs.Length]; The idea is I have winforms application which get this file and saving it on local disc.

    Is it possible to cancel a UIView animation while it is in progress? Or would I have to drop to the CA level? i.e. I've done something like this (maybe setting an end animation action too): [UIView beginAnimations:nil context:NULL]; [UIView setAnimationDuration:duration]; [UIView setAnimationCurve: UIViewAnimationCurveLinear]; // other animation properties // set view properties [UIView commitAnimations]; But before the animation completes and I get the animation ended event, I want to cancel it (cut it short). Is this possible? Googling around finds a few people asking the same question with no answers - and one or two people speculating that it can't be done.

    My site has Listings. Users can ask Questions about listings, and the author of the listing can respond with an Answer. However, the Answer might need clarification, so I've made them recursive (you can "answer" an answer). So how do I set up the database? The way I have it now looks like this (in Django-style models): class QuestionOrAnswer(Model): user = ForeignKey(User, related_name='questions') listing = ForeignKey(Listing, related_name='questions') parent = models.ForeignKey('self', null=True, blank=True, related_name='children') message = TextField() But what bugs me is that listing is now an attribute of the answers as well (it doesn't need to be). What happens if the database gets mangled and an answer belongs to a different listing than its parent question? That just doesn't make any sense. We can separate it with polymorphism: QuestionOrAnswer user message created updated Question(QuestionOrAnswer) shipment Answer(QuestionOrAnswer) parent = ForeignKey(QuestionOrAnswer) And that ought to work, but now ever question and answer is split into 2 tables. Is it worth this overhead for clearly defined models?

  • Windows Phone 7 HttpRequest Unable to see true Error Code and response details

    I have to call a somewhat broken API from a Windows Phone 7 application. The API returns a 302 error and a cookie to the authentication request. I've tried every way I've been able to find in the MSDN documentation for using ClientHTTP instead of BrowserHTTP (registering the prefix, using the call to explicitly create a ClientHTTP using Request), but the 302 is getting translated to a 404 and I'm not seeing the cookies on the response. I've tried a WebClient, I've tried an HttpRequest and it is always the translated error message. If I allocate a CookieContainer for the HttpRequest, I get a null argument exception when the client stack is parsing the returned message. I can see that the response is coming back as expected via Fiddler.

Still get this error: txtBox is null txtBox.focus(); The last line isn't working. After I create the textbox, I can't set focus to it. Is there any way of doing so?

Even if I uncheck the first checkbox if I check second checkbox second checkbox value showing as null? can anybody help me out? thanks

    I have a mix of columns in my htmltable: 1 column is an actionlistener, 2 columns are actions and other columns are simple output. <h:dataTable styleClass="table" id="orderTable" value="#{table.dataModel}" var="anOrder" binding="#{table.dataTable}" rows="#{table.rows}" <an:listenerColumn backingBean="${orderEntry}" entity="${anOrder}" actionListener="closeOrder"/ <an:column label="#{msg.hdr_orderStatus}" entity="#{anOrder}" propertyName="orderStatus" / <an:actionColumn backingBean="${orderEntry}" entity="${anOrder}" action="editOrder" / <an:actionColumn backingBean="${orderEntry}" entity="${anOrder}" action="viewOrder"/ .... I'm using custom tags, but it's the same behavior if I use the default column tags. I've noticed a very strange effect: when clicking the actionlistenercolumn, the actionevent is handled 3 times. If I remove the 2 action columns then the actionevent is handled only once.   • How to replace values in multi-valued ESE column?

    I have a multi-valued short ASCII text column in one of the tables in my ESE database, that holds the person's phone numbers. I have the new set of values, and I'd like to wipe the old values completely, and only use the new values. The JET_bitSetRevertToDefaultValue bit doesn't seem to work. While the MSDN documentation says "It causes the column to return the default column value on subsequent retrieve column operations. All existing column values are removed.", I found that it does nothing (no return value is returned). Or, is there an easy way to find out how many values does the column contain (this could be zero, e.g. when I'm doing an insertion, not update)? If it was, I could just run a loop from 'nValues' to 1, erasing the value by setting it to the null while providing the itagSequence value, to achieve what I want. I'm programming C#, and using the latest version of ManagedEsent library. Thanks in advance!

  • Why does SQLite not bring back any results from my database

    This is my first SQLite based iPhone app and I am trying to get it to read a menu hierarchy from my database.     I want to get the current date (day, mon and year). I found out there are some functions in C to do that like ctime (get the string of time), localtime and gmtime. I tried with following code but the output are different. I get this output: The date and time is Tue Apr 20 2010 (which is correct) The year is : 110 The year is : 110.     So I have a class of overloaded methods like this: class Foo { public void test(Object value) { ... } public void test(String value) { ... } } I need to pass a property value of a bean to one of these methods depending on its type, but I don't know the actual property type until the runtime. e.g. public void run(Object bean, String propertyName) { Foo foo = new Foo(); foo.test(PropertyUtils.getProperty(bean, propertyName)); } BTW, PropertyUtils.getProperty() is a helper method that returns a value of the specified property on a bean. PropertyUtils.getProperty() returns an Object, so that test(Object value) will be always called and the actual property type will be ignored. I can figure out the propery type in the runtime, even if its value is null. Is there such a thing as dynamic casting in Java? If not, is there a way to have an overloaded method with the correct parameter type called?

    Hi, I'm having problems with regular expressions that I got from regexlib. I am trying to do a preg_replace() on a some text and want to replace/remove email addresses and URLs (http/https/ftp).     I am trying to use the WINAPI ReadConsole() to wait for any keypress at the end of my Win32 console application. However, when the ReadConsole() function executes the error code ERROR_INVALID_HANDLE (0x06) is flagged. I have verified hConsole_c to be a valid handle. Does anyone have any insight as to what I am doing wrongly? I am using Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition. Thanks.

I keep getting this error: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at spa7_fla::MainTimeline/frame1() through the process of commenting out code, i've narrowed down to my link section: vox_link.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,gotoVox); function gotoVox(evtObj:Event):void { var voxSite:URLRequest=new URLRequest("http://www.voxmundiproject.com"); navigateToURL(voxSite, "_blank"); } With this section commented out, i don't get the 1009 error. I can retrieve the data, but instead of taking the audio file i asked for, it merges ALL audio files in the same AssetFileDescriptor. ---SOLVED--- with the fixes Support class public AssetFileDescriptor getaudio(){ ZipResourceFile expansionFile = APKExpansionSupport.getAPKExpansionZipFile(c,21,21); AssetFileDescriptor afd=null; if(take==1) { afd = expansionFile.getAssetFileDescriptor("file01.mp3"); }else if(take==2 { afd = expansionFile.getAssetFileDescriptor("file02.mp3"); } //more els eif ............ return afd; } In the MediaPlayer class AssetFileDescriptor fd = Llistat.getInstance().getAudio(); mPlayer.setDataSource(fd.getFileDescriptor(), fd.getStartOffset(),fd.getLength()); mPlayer.prepare(); fd.close(); My problem was that i directly was returning and using a FileDescriptor, while i was needing the AssetFileDescriptor to take its StartOffset and Length.

    I am using TcpClient to listen on a port for requests. When the requests come in from the client I want to know the client ip making the request. I've tried: Console.WriteLine(tcpClient.Client.RemoteEndPoint.ToString()); Console.WriteLine(tcpClient.Client.LocalEndPoint.ToString()); var networkStream = tcpClient.GetStream(); var pi = networkStream.GetType().GetProperty("Socket", BindingFlags.NonPublic | BindingFlags.Instance); var socketIp = ((Socket)pi.GetValue(networkStream, null)).RemoteEndPoint.ToString(); Console.WriteLine(socketIp); All of these addresses output 10.x.x.x addresses which are private addresses and are clearly not the address of the clients off my network making the requests. What can I do to get the public ip of the clients making the requests?
