  • getting rich text from the X clipboard

    How can rich text be obtained from the X clipboard? For example, if you copy some text from a web browser and paste it into kompozer, it pastes as HTML, with links etc. preserved. However, xclip -o for the same selection just outputs plain text. I'd like to pull the HTML out and into a text editor.

  • After rich:extendedDataTable sortby,otheractions are not getting executed

    I have a RichFaces UI which are having sidebar menu and sidebar had 8 links. I am using Seam @DataModel and @Factory and hibernate criteria to populate all the 8 pages. In all the pages i have sortby functionality which is working fine. I am able to get all data in all the 8 pages and I can freely navigate around all the links/xhtmls. But if in one of the xhtmlpages if I do sorting or groupby after that I am unable to navigate to other pages.If I select any other link the same last query which is executed for sorting is getting executed. Is this an issue? or do I need add any configuration. Please help me in solving this issue.   • Wicket and a rich ajax website: easiest way to do it?

    I want to use Wicket to build an application, but I have some designers that would like to write/maintain the javascript, and they basically expect 1 JS-segment per page, and a global JS-file. I think the most natural way to add javascript in wicket is to add it per component (not per page), which would create problems for those designers (fractioned javascript, and having to write it in java-files). Is there a better way to solve this? (of course, I expect things to work after a partial refresh.) And a second (related) thing they'd like (and I'd like actually) is the possibility to request information in JSON-format through a static link , is this possible in Wicket?

  • Snippets between desktop and laptop

    The Situation: At work, I have a nice beefy desktop running Windows Server 2008 R2 (SharePoint dev machine). My handy ThinkPad is right next to it. Every once in a while I'd like to cut and paste or share something (usually text) between the machines: for example, I might be headed out and I'd like to take send the URL I'm reading from the desktop to the laptop. Of course I can create a share or use the Admin shares and create files to get stuff back and forth, but that seems heavyweight for what I'm thinking of. I'm thinking more along the lines of sending myself an IM. How do you get little things from machine to machine? Keep a shared folder pinned to the taskbar? Send an email to yourself? Bookmark sync? While on it, I'm looking for a decent multiple clipboard handler: maybe these two functions are combined in some nice little utility? I suspect I'm missing something simple here... Thanks... I want to be able to have them hidden as default, with a little "Show\Hide" button that would expand them (Example). Is there a standard way to do that? I every time i create an php file no introduce html and i have to activate the html snippets manually with the command set ft=php.html I intend to activate it automatically in this this line on my vimrc autocmd BufREad, BufNewFile *.php set ft=php.html Is this correct?     Hi, (On behalf of a collegue) In one of our functionality we have some date fields for inline edit where we have enabled manual input. If in rich:calendar component, we manually enter improper date or junk data it will not even call the action method. As per our requirement we need to display an error message for date validation for these kind of fields. Is there any way to track that the date entered in the calendar field is improper with this component.   • Eclipse CDT printing selected C code snippets/functions

    Is there a quick and dirty way to print(to dead trees) selected code (C in this case) snippets? In particular, I wanted to print about 200 lines worth of code, but print dialog only offers printing of particular pages or all pages, but not selected text! Of course, one can copy and paste into another editor, but that seems rather harsh. Also, one can output the whole shebang to .pdf but that again seems a way of doing things wrong. Perhaps there is a better way? System: Ubuntu 10.04, Eclipse 3.5 with CDT, Subversive plugin

    My blog is hosted on Blogger and I frequently post code snippets in C / C# / Java / XML etc. but I find the snippet gets "mangled". Are there any web sites that I could use to parse the snippet beforehand and sort out the formatting, convert XML "<" to "<" etc. There are a numbers of questions around this area on SO but I couldn't find any that address this question directly. Edit: For @Rich answer, site states "To display the formatted code on your site, you need to get this CSS stylesheet, and add a reference to it in the section of your page". That's the problem - you can't do this on Blogger AFAIK.

    Hi all, Just wondering if you can point me in the direction of a simple, fast program which stores code snippets. I have been using a local wiki up to now, but I find it a little annoying at times. Ideally I would like this application to be portable - i.e. it could run off of a USB stick on multiple machines with no installation. What do you guys use? EDIT: I would prefer a solution that was decoupled from the IDE and stored locally, not in the cloud. EDIT 2: Thanks for all the replies thus far, but I am still awaiting a non cloud / web based portable solution. Anyone else care to weigh in? :)

    Hello all, I have this code snippets that generates a signature for POSTs. The detail of it is not important, but what I want to know is: since it is not a model-related chunk of code, it really can be use anywhere: in controllers, in models, in view helpers; even in views. So I am unsure where and, even bigger of a problem, how to activate the use of it once I place it in some location. Is it what those "require" statements are all about? That you can acquire some functionality through a "require" statement in the current file you are working on? Just so that we have an example to talk about, say, I have a little snippet of code that does cubing: def cube_it(num) num**3 end I know that I will be using it in various places across the application, so where should I put it? and when I do need to use it, how can I "summon" it?   • Is there a snippets program that allows for tab entry of variables across the mac?

    I love Sublime Text editor and the ability to create code snippets like so: <snippet> <content><![CDATA[\$("${1:selector}").${2:method}]]></content> <tabTrigger>jq</tabTrigger> </snippet> This allows me to type jq[tab] and then have it expand to $("selector").method where I am able to tab through the string 'selector' and 'method' in order to change them. But what I'd really like to do is use this same snippet when working in Chrome Dev Tools, so I was looking for a mac snippets program that could support this. However, the three programs that I looked at (Keyboard Maestro, Snippets, CodeBox) don't support the ability to tab through to highlight predetermined strings and change them. Does anyone know of an app that will do this?

If defined, those classes overwrite the ones come from the skin. </rich:panel> from the RichFaces demo, in my JSF page and no header appears, although I've nothing in my css which would interfere.
