• Convert RAID-0 to RAID-1 on HP ML350G6 with P410i zero memory

  I have an HP ML350 G6 with a P410i zero memory RAID controller. As far as I can understand that means I can't expand a current single drive "RAID-0" configuration to a RAID-1 using the HP Offline ACU without installing memory and BBWC. Is that correct? What makes me think about this is the fact that expanding RAID-0 to RAID-1 should be pretty similar to replacing a failed drive in an already existing RAID-1? So then why can't I expand without memory and BBWC? Is my best option otherwise to (i) use Ghost to capture the disk, create a new RAID-1 with the existing drive and a new one or (ii) buy memory+BBWC and do it online? Thanks

• Windows XP volume control spontaneously slides to zero

  Was listening to a podcast in iTunes at my desk, left my desk briefly and as I sat down, the volume faded. If I scrolled the volume back up, using my keyboard or the volume tray icon, it would smoothly scroll back down again. I rebooted, same thing occurred. Figuring maybe I had a stuck keyboard or hitherto undiscovered mouse function, I unplugged each in turn. Volume still wanted to go to zero! Anyone know what might cause this? It's driving me nuts!

• Using VLC to Unicast High Definition Webcam over local gigabit LAN with low/zero delay

  We're setting up a webcam "window" between two offices in the same buildilng. The two PC's are connected to the same gigabit switch. We're using VLC to stream the webcam over HTTP using the following commands. vlc dshow:// :dshow-caching="0" :dshow-size="640x480" :sout=#transcode{vcodec=h264,vb=0,scale=0}:http{mux=ffmpeg{mux=flv},dst=:8080/} :no-sout-rtp-sap :no-sout-standard-sap :ttl=1 :sout-keep vlc http://192.168.0.1:8080 :http-caching="0" Even with the caching set to zero, the delay in the image is a good 2-3 seconds. The CPU usage of each pc is also maxed. I'm guessing it's the transcoding that's causing much of the delay. Can anyone give me some changes to these command lines that will reduce the transcoding power, or send the webcam over a different protocol, or anything that will reduce the delay of the cameras? Bandwidth is not an issue at all as the pc's can be connected to a dedicated switch/vlan if required.

  Is there any way to caculate the average of the non zero rows only for a column of data in a table in an RDLC for Microsoft report viewer? ie 0 0 0 5 5 = 5 not 2 I tried Count( fields.n.value 0 ) to get the count of non zero rows, but it returned the count of all rows. Thanks! Eric-

  I've noticed that the Rails log correctly displays the time taken to execute an action in the logs, and that the View: part of that is also rendered correctly. However, the DB: value is always zero: Aug 11 13:00:22 [2326] INFO: Completed in 2072ms (View: 94, DB: 0) | 200 OK In fact, all my DB timings are being logged as zero. I'm logging at DEBUG level, in development mode, running Rails 2.3.2. Apologies in advance if the answer is blatantly obvious.

• Separating positive values from 'zero' values in an XSLT for-each statement

  I am traversing an XML file (that contains multiple tables) using XSLT. Part of the job of the page is to get the title of each table, and present that title with along with the number of items that table contains (i.e. "Problems (5)"). I am able to get the number of items, but I now need to separate the sections with 0 (zero) items in them, and put them at the bottom of the list of table titles. I'm having trouble with this because the other items with positive numbers need to be left in their original order/not sorted. • Easy Flood Fill

  Some advice, please. I'm just starting out in C#. I've managed to get some shapes created on a Windows form, and now I'd like to fill them with color. In the old C++ I studied years ago, there was a floodfill function that was really easy. It has been an unpleasant realization to find there's not a similar method available in regular old C#. Does anyone have advice for me, or some code, so I can implement filling without understanding GDI+, DirectX, or rest of the avalanche of acronyms that I've run into by researching this on the web? I need to fill irregular shapes, bounded by a certain color. Gradient and transparency control would be nice, but I'd settle for plain old solid fill right now, just to get a modicom of control over this. Any help, code or advice would be really appreciated.

  Hello: I have a set of cells on a worksheet called "Docs". The cell range is (B13:C23). When users get taken to this page, they are meant to fill out each of these cells with a value from 0 through 6. My Question: Is there some code that I can attach to this sheet where, if a user does not fill in a cell with anything (ie. leaves it blank) and tries to leave the sheet or close the workbook, they are somehow reminded to fill it in?   Hi, If I have a QuadCurve like this (+ = node): + + \ ./ +--?? And I fill it in Java 2D the result is something like this: (x = colored) +xxxxxxxxx+ \xxxxxx./ +--?? But I want to color the other side: + + x\ ./x xxx +--??xx xxxxxxxxxxx This succeeds by drawing a rectangle around the curve in the color I want to color the other side and then fill the curve with the background color. But this isn't good enough to fill a convex rounded (based on QuadCurves) polygon. In case of some coordinates for the rectangles (as explained in the trick I used) overlap other pieces of the polygon. Here are two images (the green area is my polygon): So, the question is simple: "How can I color a shape build of curves?" But to the answer will not be simple I think... • Photoshop / Illustrator Fill text box with large string.

  I have a massive string (lots of Fibonacci numbers concatenated together). I don't know how much of this text I need to fill an A4 page. What I was hoping for was to paste a large block into a text box and have it display as much as possible, wrapping the text at the end of a line, but it is not doing that. It is just displaying a blank box (With the text overflowing into an awaiting textbox or something. I have tried pasting smaller amounts of text into the text box, and it appears that it will get about half way and then go into 'blank' mode. All I need is a simple way of creating a background of numbers which I don't have to type in. Any ideas?

• Image doesn't fill monitor when connected via HDMI

  Connecting a Dell Studio Slim to a Dell ST2210 21.5" monitor. The PC has a ATI Radeon HD 4350 video card. The video card has DVI and HDMI connections. When I connect with the DVI everything works fine. When I connect with the HMDI the image doesn't fill the screen, i.e. there's a approx 1 inch black border around the image. Win7 tells me the res is 1920x1080 (the native res of the monitor). Tried rebooting, no luck.

The traffic <100 visitor/hour, but the apache have high load and make the server hang with zero free of ram and can't connect through ssh. • emacs public/protected/private label indentation of C++ header file not working for zero offset

  I cannot get zero offset for some things for my C++ header files in emacs even if I have it defined in my .emacs file. The header file below shows a class definition inside two namespaces and most importantly the public keyword I would like to have with zero offset like below. namespace n1 { namespace n2 { class SomeClass { public: // this line with zero offset SomeClass(); ... }; } // n2 } // n2 In my .emacs file I have added label like this: (c-set-offset 'label 0) I used Ctrl-C Ctrl-S to find out what to modify. Other offsets I have defined in the .emacs file are working fine and also values other than 0 work for label. When I set offset 0 for label it turns out to be 1 when hitting tab for that line. This is strange and looks like something else is overriding or adding a minimum of 1. Can anyone explain how I can achieve what I want and maybe also an explanation what is happening currently? • How can I make XAnalogTV fill my screen?

  I recently installed xscreensaver, as well as the additional/extra screensavers. Many of the OpenGL ones function correctly, going fullscreen as expected. However, for some reason, the XAnalogTV screensaver leaves two "blank" spots on the edges of my screen. If I manually launch XAnalogTV, it displays a window, which it fills correctly. When I maximize the window, the same effect occurs: the window maximizes, but the two edges of the screen are literally "transparent". This effect also occurs when the screensaver is set to fullscreen. For these reasons, I believe the problem may be related to the aspect ratio of the screen. The edges of the screen are literally "ignored", with nothing being drawn there. Specifically, note the transition between the maximized and full-screen screenshots (with the un-drawn whitespace shrinking as the vertical height has been increased). For reference, I am running Xubuntu 12.04 on a Dell Vostro 1520 (Intel P8600, Nvidia 9300M) with a 1440 x 900 display (16:10). I have also set the GetViewPortIsFullOfLies preference to true. Is there any way to force XAnalogTV to fill my entire screen? Relevant screenshots (windowed, maximized, and full-screen, respectively):

  I want to fill a CSS box with text till there is no overflow or scrollbar. I fetch text from MySQL. The user clicks a button and the next bit of text that can fit will fill the box. The only way I've figured to do this is by parsing through the text and counting characters and newlines, etc and calculating whether it will fit in the box. Is there an easier way to do this?   I am using this: byte[] buffer = new byte[10240]; As I understand this initialize the buffer array of 10kb filled with 0s. Whats the fastest way to fill this array (or initialize it) with junk data every time? I need to use that array like 5000 times and fill it every time with different junk data, that's why I am looking for a fast method to do it. The array size will also have to change every time.
