• ASP.NET Routing (in WebForms)not working when deployed under IIS,Works in IDE

  I have an ASP.NET web application(webforms,not MVC) developed in VS 2008 and i have implemented ASP.NET web forms URL routing by following this link http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/articles/051309-1.aspx#postadlink It works pretty good when i run it on the Visual studion IDE.But does not works when i created a site under my IIS (IIS 5.1 in XP) and deployed the same files there.I have set ASP.NET version as 2.0 in the Properties window of my application too.But does not work. Any idea Why ? Is there anything else to be setup ? Thanks in advance

• Example code of libssh2 being used for port forwarding

  I'm looking for an example of how to use libssh2 to setup ssh port forwarding. I've looked at the API, but there is very little in the way of documentation in the area of port forwarding. For instance, using PuTTY plink, There is the remote port to listen on, but also the local port that traffic should be sent to. Is it the developers responsibility to do this part? Can an example be developed of this? Also, for the opposite, where a remote port is brought to a local port, do I use libssh2_channel_direct_tcpip_ex? What about an example of this? I really need to do this exact thing on a project right now. How hard would it be to develop a couple of samples of this? I'm willing to put up a bounty if need be to get a couple of working examples of this.

I did this: cd /var/www/html/ (document root of apache) wget http://sourceforge.net/projects/phpmyadmin/path/to/latest/version tar xvfz phpMyAdmin-3.3.9-all-languages.tar.gz mv phpMyAdmin-3.3.9-all-languages phpmyadmin rm phpMyAdmin-3.3.9-all-languages.tar.gz cd phpmyadmin/ cp config.sample.inc.php config.inc.php Ok so then i just got to a webbrowser and go to www.$ip/phpmyadmin and i am presented with a login screen asking for username and password. How can i get these credentials to log in? I'd like to log in as root i guess. But i don't know how to setup a root account and create a password for root using the cli and mysql. Please help?   I have a simple MySQL table that is setup for full text search. | id | title | ---------------------- | 1 | test event | | 2 | Second test | | 3 | Larry's event | | 4 | this second | When I use the query: SELECT * FROM EVENTS WHERE MATCH (title) AGAINST ('test event' IN BOOLEAN MODE); I get back 3 rows; the ones containing 'test event', 'Second test', and 'Larry's Event'. Now If I run the following query: SELECT * FROM EVENTS WHERE MATCH (title) AGAINST ('second' IN BOOLEAN MODE); Nothing is returned... strange? Lastly, if I run the query: SELECT * FROM EVENTS WHERE MATCH (title) AGAINST ('second test' IN BOOLEAN MODE); I get back 2 rows; the ones containing 'test event' and 'Second test'. I appears that the word 'second' cannot be searched or needs to be escaped somehow. Am I missing something?

• Using sphinx to create context sensitive html help

  Hi all, I am currently using AsciiDoc (http://www.methods.co.nz/asciidoc/) for documenting my software projects because it supports pdf and html help generation. I am currently running it through cygwin so that the a2x tool chain functions properly. This works well for me but is a pain to setup on other windows computers. I have been looking for alternative methods and recently revisited Sphinx. Noticing that it now produces html help files I gave it a try and it seems to work well in the small tests I performed. My question is, is there a way to specify map id's for context sensitive help in the text so that my windows programs can call the proper help api and the file is launched and opened to the desired location? In AsciiDoc I am using "pass::[]". By using these constructs a context.h and alias.h are generated along with the other html help files (context sensitive help information).

Now I would like a summary of the top fives ordered by popularity. Each column has it's own point value. column 'first' is rewarded 5 points, 'second' four points, 'third' three points, and so on... So, in my example it should be something like this: 1 Cheese (9 points = 5 + 4 -> 1 time in 'first' column and 1 time in 'second' column) 2 Eggs (6 points) 3 Mayonaise (5 points) 4 Ketchup (4 points) 5 Bacon (3 points) 6 Ham (3 points) What would be the easiest solution (PHP) for this kind of situation?   How do I setup a Gem to have a binary command eg. "project newProject" that uses Thor's set of generator commands to create files etc.? A good answer would describe how to layout the skeleton of a gem that that when run from the command line "project newProject" creates 1 file named "newProject.txt" in the directory it's run from. I've seen that Rails 3 is using Thor to power it's generators, seems like a really good solution and i'd like to use a similar approach in non-Rails ruby gem i'm working on. Tried looking at the Rails 3 source but it's a bit labyrinthine hence the question.

  Hi All, Sorry about the wording for my question title. I have a basic HTML anchor tag that when clicked it is suppose to bring up a dialog box to download a file from a differnt website. I am using an attribute of target="_blank" so that when my hyperlink is clicked, I don't navigate away from my main window. This is all the easy part (if it was so easy I wouldnt be here though). When I do the above though, and click on the hyperlink, an annoying blank window pops up with my download dialog box behind it. How do I get rid of that annoying blank window and keep only my download dialog box on the screen?   Hey guys, here's my setup Castle Windsor is my container NServiceBus is itself using it's own container internally, Spring by default I'm implementing the PubSub config. Ok, if I have my Bus.Publish happening within my IWantToRunAtStartup class, then everything is fine. As a test for example on Run() we can start a timer and it'll go into a Service style loop. However, what if I want to abstract NServiceBus from my app, and have my app go: new CustomPulisherClass().Notify(ISomeMessage msg); In this situation, how do I implement CustomPublisherClass. My confusion is coming from the fact that NServiceBus is already running as a Service, it's already been "Started". How to I get at the correct instance of the Bus object? cheers andy

• Can you let users upload Sinatra apps and run them inside Rails as middleware?

  I want to let users write small custom apps (think themes or plugins on Wordpress) and upload/run them on my site. I'm thinking about using Sinatra apps for this since it would give the users a lot of flexibility, and then running them as middleware inside my rails app. But I can't figure out the security implications of this. I tried creating a simple sinatra app as middleware, and it has access to all the rails models and everything - so that is bad. Is there a way for rack to keep these separate so that the sinatra apps are effectively sandboxed and can't do any bad things (outside of an API or some specific way I setup for them to communicate)? There may be an easier way to accomplish this that I haven't thought of too, so ideas welcome. Thanks!

  I'm running wamp on Vista (Apache v2.2.11) and have projects setup such that http://localhost/projectx is the base directory for projectx. Now, I want that requests for http://localhost/projectx/somepage/extra will rewrite to http://localhost/projectx/PUBLIC/somepage/extra To that end I have a file in C:\wamp\www\projectx\.htacces that is this simple: RewriteEngine On RewriteBase /projectx RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/PUBLIC RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /PUBLIC$1 [L] I can't for the life of me figure out why this doesn't work. The error I'm getting is "The requested URL /PUBLIC was not found on this server". Thanks.

  I made a following test: # main.py import imported print imported.f.__module__ # imported.py def f(): pass # test_imported.py (py.test test case) import imported def test_imported(): result = imported.f.__module__ assert result == 'imported' Running python main.py, gives me imported, but running py.test gives me error and result value is moduletest.imported (moduletest is the name of the directory I keep the test in. It doesn't contain __init__.py, moduletest is the only directory containing *.py files in ~/tmp). How can I fix result value? The long story: I'm getting strange errors, while testing Django application. A call to reverse() from (django.urlresolvers). with function object foo as argument in tests crashes with NoReverseMatch: Reverse for 'site.app.views.foo'. The same call inside application works. I checked and it is converted to 'app.views.foo' (without site prefix). I first suspected my customised test setup for Django, but then I made above test.

What is the best way to realize my setup? Any short how-tos? How can I announce all players to use the proxy? Route all rtsp/mms/http-requests through my proxy? Announce the proxy with DHCP-releases? • precompile App_LocalResources in Visual Studio

  My web-application project (not "web-site" project) is translated to 15 different languages using the ASP.NET's built-in resource engine (I have tons of *.aspx.resx file in the "App_LocalREsources" folder). All these resources are precompiled by ASP.NET when I first launch the application and it takes a LOT of time. A LOT. 5-10 minutes. I have to wait 5-10 minutes every time I make soe tiny change to my code to see how it works. Is there any way to compile these resource in Visual Studio? Changing the "Build Action" for all these resx-files to "Embedded resource" does not work :( (or I'm doing it wrong?) PS. I know I can write a batch file that will launch aspnet_compiler.exe and manually compile the app with all the resources, but thats a "hack". I need a documented "Visual Studio"-way to achieve this. Cause I have a setup-project for this app in the same solution, that picks up the "project output" of this web-app (and it won't pick-up any manually precompiled files I made)

  I recently installed the Visual Studio 11 Developer Preview. But since there are two arguments for "foo", VS 11 doesn't want to compile it. (However, g++ does: http://ideone.com/ANrPj) (The runtime error is no problem: std::future exception on gcc experimental implementation of C++0x) (VS 11 errormessage: http://pastebin.com/F9Xunh2s) I'm a little confused right now, since this error seems extremely obvious to me, even if it is a developer preview. So my questions are: Is this code correct according to the C++11 standard? Is this bug already known/reported?
