  • Javascript Global Variables Not Working as expected. Help?

    I am new to Javascript. I am facing a problem with global variables. I can't figure out that why the global variables are not working as the code looks ok. Please Help me solve this problem. I will breifly explain the code first.I have some text on a page which changes to text field when clicked. When I define the variables inside the functions body the code starts working fine. When these variables are defined globally as in the following code, the console displays this error: the variable is not defined.     I am having trouble creating a different image to appear when you place your curser over the original image. EDIT: Okay great suggestions, however when I hover over the "home button" now the stuff in the float tweeks out. The ideal would be for a way to display all the tests found for an application with tick boxes against each one, so the user could choose to run all tests or just a selection.     I'm looking for a tool or a script that will take the console log from my web app, parse out the garbage collection information and display it in a meaningful way. I'm starting up on a Sun Java 1.4.2 JVM with the following flags: -verbose:gc -XX:+PrintGCTimeStamps -XX:+PrintGCDetails The log output looks like this: 54.736: [Full GC 54.737: [Tenured: 172798K->18092K(174784K), 2.3792658 secs] 257598K->18092K(259584K), [Perm : 20476K->20476K(20480K)], 2.4715398 secs] Making sense of a few hundred of these kinds of log entries would be much easier if I had a tool that would visually graph garbage collection trends.

    Hello, I have a section of code that uploads an image: [activity startAnimating]; [self uploadImage:img Session_id:appDelegate.sessionID PlaceID:place.placeID Comment:comment.text]; [activity stopAnimating]; I am sure that activity is wired up correctly to a UIActivityViewIndicator, but it never shows. Inside the uploadImage function, I open a connection to the server and start the upload. Does anyone have an example or possible explanation as to why the activity view would not display?

The reason why I store it within this folder is since these images need to be cleared once in a while and it's so much easier just to clear the tmp directory using tmpwatch.     Hi All, I want an Open File Dialog with *.class ,*.jar filters. I want that *.jar files will be treated as folders (pressing OK or double-click should display the jar file content [ *.class] ). This capability is very similar to the TotalCommander archive plugin that let you browse inside archive files in-place (without the need to extract them, etc...) Any ideas how it could be done?     I have a fairly simple MS Access Database that contains some metadata about a bunch of documents and a hyperlink field that links to the document on our network drive. However, when I use a SQL INSERT statement to populate the hyperlink field, the value I give it only becomes the display text, not the actual link. How can I make the value a functional hyperlink? I'd think that the hyperlink data type would actually create hyperlinks. I'm using Access 2002 SP3.

    Can the xdpi and ydpi settings be relied upon to accurately represent the physical pixels in once inch of screen space? I need this to be accurate for some display code I'm writing. I realize the documention says that this is the case, but I need to know if individual handsets get this right MOST OF THE TIME. I know I can alternately use "densitiy" which will give me 120, 160, 240 steps of DPI, but an exact dpi would be much better. Thanks!

  • Using drawAtPoint with my CIImage not doing anything on screen

    Stuck again. :( I have the following code crammed into a procedure invoked when I click on a button on my application main window. I'm just trying to tweak a CIIMage and then display the results. At this point I'm not even worried about exactly where / how to display it. I'm just trying to slam it up on the window to make sure my Transform worked. This code seems to work down through the drawAtPoint message. But I never see anything on the screen. What's wrong? Thanks. Also, as far as displaying it in a particular location on the window ... is the best technique to put a frame of some sort on the window, then get the coordinates of that frame and "draw into" that rectangle?
