  Recently, I was working on a Silverlight application and one of the pages contained a graphic. One of the requirements was that the graphic should contain clickable regions (Hotspots) and display a dynamic navigation menu when clicked on.   I installed Ubuntu 11.10 on my HP laptop and among some problems, one of which I'm trying to solve is the touchpad problem. It's working, but how can I turn on/off it? In SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop (which was preinstalled) and Windows, the touchpad is enabled/disabled by touching the left upper corner, when small diode is situated. In Ubuntu, I touched that area many times, but nothing happened. Do anybody know how to solve the problem?

  Well I'm working on a personal project that needs to check if a user has met certain requirements, and they come in a form of Requirement: [c1 OR c2] AND [d1 OR d2] Requirement: [c1 AND c2] OR [d1 AND d2] Requirement: c1 AND any dn(n can be any integer) I'm just not sure how to store these sorts of requirements, I'm thinking of using another object to hold c1,c2,d1,d2....dn and OR, but that seems like a roundabout way of doing things. Is there a better method?

• Does anyone work 10 hours shifts as a developer?

  I would like to switch from a 5 day week to a 4 day, but maintain a 40 hour working week. Would the 10 hour days affect your ability to be productive? I hate our public transit system so if I could reduce my transportation by 20% I would be glad. If other developers who work 10 hours shifts could be clear as the their experiences with it that would help me. I think my boss is flexible enough that he would be cool with it.

• Ubuntu 12.10 Crashing Compiz/Unity (not Nvidia related)

  I've upgraded from 12.04 to 12.10 and compiz and/or unity are constantly crashing rendering my computer useless (no top bar, no dash, no window decorations). I have just discovered that when I login with the guest account everything seems to be working OK. I've been through all the threads I could find and haven't found a resolution. This isn't Nvidia related (I am running on a System76 laptop with ATI Radeon). Is there any way I can go about isolating the problem and restore my user account?

  I have the domain http://dropbox.tombrito.com/ (on GoDaddy) forwarding with masking to www.dropbox.com/sh/k6ypvx4y4kf0gu6/rdjxQ1b1OL It was working fine some time ago, but now the result is a blank page (although the Dropbox's favicon appears correctly in the browser's tab title).   Working with an infinite set of cubes, is there a way of detecting which cubes exist within a frustum? Most frustum culling seems to work along the lines of running through all objects and seeing if they intersect - this is ok with a finite set of objects, or something like Octrees. I'm currently finding all cubes within the frustum's bounding box - but that's far more than I really need. I could then test these all against it, but I was wondering if I could skip a step.

It happened after I selected "Automatically remember running applications when logging off" in System-- Preferences-- Startup Applications-- Options. I can manually start it via (gnome-panel &) in the Terminal, bur aside from that, it refuses to start iself. (I've since disabled "Remember Applications wehen logging off") How can I get it working normally again?

A message about compiz appear , but mouse keyboard , icons , unity are not working. the only thing i was able to do is a boot-repear ,as discribed in ubuntu's site, but neither this helped.   I've a question about the package named 'atftp'. I've got the atftp daemon finally working. Previously I was using tftp-hpa with a custom rule that replaces filenames with capitals into non-capital filenames and replaces the backslashes into forward slashes so that WinPE will boot fine. But in atftp I can't find rules or replacements like that. I'm searching for long, but cannot find or write the right pcre-pattern. Could you help me with this?
