  • Why an input button created dynamically through a literal tag doesn't work ?

    - by user284523
    I have created button 2 below: <input id="Button1" type="button" value="Stop" onclick="alert('hello world');"/> <input id="Button2" type="button" value="button" OnClik="alert('hello world');"/> using a litteral tag on page load like this: protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e) { Literal1.Text = "<input id=\"Button2\" type=\"button\" value=\"button\" OnClik=\"alert('hello world');\"/>"; } Incredibly when testing in browser, click on button 1 works, not click on button 2 whereas the codes are the same ! Am I missing something ?

  • Why is there no * in front of delegate declaration ?

    - by gotye
Hey guys, I just noticed there is no * in front of the declaration for a delegate ... I did something like this : @protocol NavBarHiddenDelegate; @interface AsyncImageView : UIView { NSURLConnection* connection; NSMutableData* data; UIActivityIndicatorView *indicator; id <NavBarHiddenDelegate> delegate; } @property (nonatomic, assign) id <NavBarHiddenDelegate> delegate; - (id)initWithUrl:(NSString*)url; @end @protocol NavBarHiddenDelegate - (void)hideNavBar; @end It works perfectly well but as I am used to always but a * in front of objects I declare, why not for this one ?!? Thank you, Gotye.

  • Is it possible to define a generic lambda?

    - by Mike OBrien
I have some logic in a method that operates on a specified type and I'd like to create a generic lambda that encapsulates the logic. This is the spirit of what I'm trying to do: public void DoSomething() { // ... Func<T> GetTypeName = () => T.GetType().Name; GetTypeName<string>(); GetTypeName<DateTime>(); GetTypeName<int>(); // ... } I know I can pass the type as a parameter or create a generic method but I'm interested if it can just be a generic lambda (So I'm not looking for alternatives). From what I can tell C# 3.0 doesn't support this. TIA, m

  • What's an easy way to set up object communication in Obj-C?

    - by seaworthy
I am trying to send a slider value from a controller object to a method of a model object. The later is implemented in the separate file and I have appropriate headers. I think the problem is that I am not sure how to instantiate the receiver in order to produce a working method for the controller. Here is the controller's method. -(IBAction)setValue:(id)slider {[Model setValue:[slider floatValue]];} @implementation Model -(void)setValue:(float)n{ printf("%f",n); } @end What I get is 'Model' may not respond to '+setValue' warning and no output in my console. Any insight is appreciated.

  • Assigned numbers to movie clip to plug in formula... not working

    - by Matthew MlgPro Harding
    So I am attempting to vertically evenly space these movie clips so I came up with a math formula involving n( the button number) but Its not working. var buttonArray:Array = [ side_banner.btn1, side_banner.btn2, side_banner.btn3, side_banner.btn4]; var buttonCount:uint = buttonArray.length; for (var i:uint=0; i< buttonCount; i++) { buttonArray[i].addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, outputNumber); buttonArray[i].theTrigger = [i + 1]; } function outputNumber(e:MouseEvent):void { trace( e.target.theTrigger); buttonArray[i].y = (((stage.stageHeight - 400)/4)*(e.target.theTrigger)) - ((stage.stageHeight - 400)/4)/2 } But apparently each movie clip doesn't actually have a numerical value just a numeric name... how can I get the "n" btn number to use my formula? Thanks

  • Android: How to find the position clicked from the context menu

    - by Josemalive
Hi, I have a list view filled with data. I set up a context menu for the listview using the following code: list.setOnCreateContextMenuListener ( new View.OnCreateContextMenuListener() { public void onCreateContextMenu(ContextMenu menu, View view, ContextMenu.ContextMenuInfo menuInfo) { AdapterContextMenuInfo mi =(AdapterContextMenuInfo) menuInfo; menu.add(0, 0, 0, "Delete item"); } } ); I have the following method override to control de contextmenu menuitem selected: @Override public boolean onContextItemSelected(MenuItem item) { switch(item.getItemId()) { case 0: ShowAlert("hello from delete item"); break; default: return super.onContextItemSelected(item); } return true; } In this overrided method, how could i find the item of the list view that was clicked? Thanks in advance. Best Regards. Jose

  • Custom Validator and specifying type of message

    - by user102533
I have a custom validation in the enterprise validation block. The DoValidate method is as shown below. protected override void DoValidate(Double objectToValidate, object currentTarget, string key, ValidationResults validationResults) { if (!IsSalMoreThanMinWage(objectToValidate)) { //Here I need to mark this message as a "Warning" LogValidationResult(validationResults, "Salary is too low for this state", currentTarget, key); } } I'd need to mark this validation failure as a "warning" message. In the front end, when I iterate through the ValidationResults collection and grab a ValidationResult object, I would need to identify and group different types of messages and render them differently. My question is - how do I mark a failure as a warning?

  • Dynamic object property populator (without reflection)

    - by grenade
I want to populate an object's properties without using reflection in a manner similar to the DynamicBuilder on CodeProject. The CodeProject example is tailored for populating entities using a DataReader or DataRecord. I use this in several DALs to good effect. Now I want to modify it to use a dictionary or other data agnostic object so that I can use it in non DAL code --places I currently use reflection. I know almost nothing about OpCodes and IL. I just know that it works well and is faster than reflection. I have tried to modify the CodeProject example and because of my ignorance with IL, I have gotten stuck on two lines. One of them deals with dbnulls and I'm pretty sure I can just lose it, but I don't know if the lines preceding and following it are related and which of them will also need to go. The other, I think, is the one that pulled the value out of the datarecord before and now needs to pull it out of the dictionary. I think I can replace the "getValueMethod" with my "property.Value" but I'm not sure. I'm open to alternative/better ways of skinning this cat too. Here's the code so far (the commented out lines are the ones I'm stuck on): using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Reflection; using System.Reflection.Emit; public class Populator<T> { private delegate T Load(Dictionary<string, object> properties); private Load _handler; private Populator() { } public T Build(Dictionary<string, object> properties) { return _handler(properties); } public static Populator<T> CreateBuilder(Dictionary<string, object> properties) { //private static readonly MethodInfo getValueMethod = typeof(IDataRecord).GetMethod("get_Item", new [] { typeof(int) }); //private static readonly MethodInfo isDBNullMethod = typeof(IDataRecord).GetMethod("IsDBNull", new [] { typeof(int) }); Populator<T> dynamicBuilder = new Populator<T>(); DynamicMethod method = new DynamicMethod("Create", typeof(T), new[] { typeof(Dictionary<string, object>) }, typeof(T), true); ILGenerator generator = method.GetILGenerator(); LocalBuilder result = generator.DeclareLocal(typeof(T)); generator.Emit(OpCodes.Newobj, typeof(T).GetConstructor(Type.EmptyTypes)); generator.Emit(OpCodes.Stloc, result); int i = 0; foreach (var property in properties) { PropertyInfo propertyInfo = typeof(T).GetProperty(property.Key, BindingFlags.Public | BindingFlags.Instance | BindingFlags.IgnoreCase | BindingFlags.FlattenHierarchy | BindingFlags.Default); Label endIfLabel = generator.DefineLabel(); if (propertyInfo != null && propertyInfo.GetSetMethod() != null) { generator.Emit(OpCodes.Ldarg_0); generator.Emit(OpCodes.Ldc_I4, i); //generator.Emit(OpCodes.Callvirt, isDBNullMethod); generator.Emit(OpCodes.Brtrue, endIfLabel); generator.Emit(OpCodes.Ldloc, result); generator.Emit(OpCodes.Ldarg_0); generator.Emit(OpCodes.Ldc_I4, i); //generator.Emit(OpCodes.Callvirt, getValueMethod); generator.Emit(OpCodes.Unbox_Any, property.Value.GetType()); generator.Emit(OpCodes.Callvirt, propertyInfo.GetSetMethod()); generator.MarkLabel(endIfLabel); } i++; } generator.Emit(OpCodes.Ldloc, result); generator.Emit(OpCodes.Ret); dynamicBuilder._handler = (Load)method.CreateDelegate(typeof(Load)); return dynamicBuilder; } } EDIT: Using Marc Gravell's PropertyDescriptor implementation (with HyperDescriptor) the code is simplified a hundred-fold. I now have the following test: using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.ComponentModel; using Hyper.ComponentModel; namespace Test { class Person { public int Id { get; set; } public string Name { get; set; } } class Program { static void Main() { HyperTypeDescriptionProvider.Add(typeof(Person)); var properties = new Dictionary<string, object> { { "Id", 10 }, { "Name", "Fred Flintstone" } }; Person person = new Person(); DynamicUpdate(person, properties); Console.WriteLine("Id: {0}; Name: {1}", person.Id, person.Name); Console.ReadKey(); } public static void DynamicUpdate<T>(T entity, Dictionary<string, object> properties) { foreach (PropertyDescriptor propertyDescriptor in TypeDescriptor.GetProperties(typeof(T))) if (properties.ContainsKey(propertyDescriptor.Name)) propertyDescriptor.SetValue(entity, properties[propertyDescriptor.Name]); } } } Any comments on performance considerations for both TypeDescriptor.GetProperties() & PropertyDescriptor.SetValue() are welcome...

  • For Loop help In a Hash Cracker Homework.

    - by aaron burns
    On the homework I am working on we are making a hash cracker. I am implementing it so as to have my cracker. java call worker.java. Worker.java implements Runnable. Worker is to take the start and end of a list of char, the hash it is to crack, and the max length of the password that made the hash. I know I want to do a loop in run() BUT I cannot think of how I would do it so it would go to the given max pasword length. I have posted the code I have so far. Any directions or areas I should look into.... I thought there was a way to do this with a certain way to write the loop but I don't know or can't find the correct syntax. Oh.. also. In main I divide up so x amount of threads can be chosen and I know that as of write now it only works for an even number of the 40 possible char given. package HashCracker; import java.util.*; import java.security.MessageDigest; import java.security.NoSuchAlgorithmException; public class Cracker { // Array of chars used to produce strings public static final char[] CHARS = "abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789.,-!".toCharArray(); public static final int numOfChar=40; /* Given a byte[] array, produces a hex String, such as "234a6f". with 2 chars for each byte in the array. (provided code) */ public static byte[] hexToArray(String hex) { byte[] result = new byte[hex.length()/2]; for (int i=0; i<hex.length(); i+=2) { result[i/2] = (byte) Integer.parseInt(hex.substring(i, i+2), 16); } return result; } public static void main(String args[]) throws NoSuchAlgorithmException { if(args.length==1)//Hash Maker { //create a byte array , meassage digestand put password into it //and get out a hash value printed to the screen using provided methods. byte[] myByteArray=args[0].getBytes(); MessageDigest hasher=MessageDigest.getInstance("SHA-1"); hasher.update(myByteArray); byte[] digestedByte=hasher.digest(); String hashValue=Cracker.hexToString(digestedByte); System.out.println(hashValue); } else//Hash Cracker { ArrayList<Thread> myRunnables=new ArrayList<Thread>(); int numOfThreads = Integer.parseInt(args[2]); int charPerThread=Cracker.numOfChar/numOfThreads; int start=0; int end=charPerThread-1; for(int i=0; i<numOfThreads; i++) { //creates, stores and starts threads. Runnable tempWorker=new Worker(start, end, args[1], Integer.parseInt(args[1])); Thread temp=new Thread(tempWorker); myRunnables.add(temp); temp.start(); start=end+1; end=end+charPerThread; } } } import java.util.*; public class Worker implements Runnable{ private int charStart; private int charEnd; private String Hash2Crack; private int maxLength; public Worker(int start, int end, String hashValue, int maxPWlength) { charStart=start; charEnd=end; Hash2Crack=hashValue; maxLength=maxPWlength; } public void run() { byte[] myHash2Crack_=Cracker.hexToArray(Hash2Crack); for(int i=charStart; i<charEnd+1; i++) { Cracker.numOfChar[i]////// this is where I am stuck. } } }

  • How to execute statements in order in objective c

    - by Vu Tu?n Anh
When i tap on my button, my function was called [myBtn addTarget:self action:@selector(myFunction) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside]; In my function, a collection of complex statement will be executed and take a litte bit time to run, so i want to show Loading (UIActivityIndicatorView) as the following: -(void) addTradeAction { //Show Loading [SharedAppDelegate showLoading]; //disable user interaction self.view.userInteractionEnabled = NO; //execute call webservice in here - may be take 10s //Hide Loading [ShareAppDelegate hideLoading]; } When tap on myBtn (my Button) - after 3s or 4s, [ShareAppDelegate showLoading] was called. It is unusual when i use [ShareAppDelegate showLoading] on other Function, - it work very nice, i mean all the statement be executed in order. All i want, when i tap on My Button, Loading will be called immediatelly. Tks in advance

  • Can a user-chosen image be inserted directly into a JEditorPane?

    - by JIM
What I am trying to do is open up a JFilechooser that filters jpeg, gif and png images, then gets the user's selection and inserts it into the JEditorPane. Can this be done? or am i attempting something impossible? Here is a sample of my program.(insert is a JMenuItem and mainText is a JEditorPane) insert.addActionListener(new ActionListener(){ public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e){ JFileChooser imageChooser = new JFileChooser(); imageChooser.setFileFilter(new FileNameExtensionFilter("Image Format","jpg","jpeg","gif","png")); int choice = imageChooser.showOpenDialog(mainText); if (choice == JFileChooser.APPROVE_OPTION) { mainText.add(imageChooser.getSelectedFile()); } } }); What i tried to do is use the add method, i know it's wrong but just to give you an idea of what i'm trying to do. Before you complain, i'm sorry about the code formatting, i don't really know all the conventions of what is considered good or bad style. Thank you very much.

  • How to marshal the type of "Cstring" in .NET Compact Framework(C#)?

    - by SmartJJ
How to marshal the type of "Cstring" in .NET Compact Framework(C#)? DLLname:Test_Cstring.dll(OS is WinCE 5.0),source code: extern "C" __declspec(dllexport) int GetStringLen(CString str) { return str.GetLength(); } I marshal that in .NET Compact Framework(C#),for example: [DllImport("Test_Cstring.dll", EntryPoint = "GetStringLen", SetLastError = true)] public extern static int GetStringLen(string s); private void Test_Cstring() { int len=-1; len=GetStringLen("abcd"); MessageBox.Show("Length:"+len.ToString()); //result is -1,so PInvoke is unsuccessful! } The Method of "GetStringLen" in .NET CF is unsuccessful! How to marshal this type of "Cstring"? Any information about it would be very appreciated!

  • android button setPressed after onClick

    - by strem
yesterday I noticed the possibility to integrate Fragments in older API Levels through the Compatibility package, but thats not really essential for the question. :) I have a Button with an OnClickListener Button button = (Button) findViewById(R.id.button); button.setOnClickListener(new OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View v) { doSomething(); button.setPressed(true); } }); Because of the actual clicking, it is shown as pressed and after releasing the click, the button state is not pressed and stays that way. Is there a simple way that keeps the button state pressed after releasing? First thing I can think of would be some sort of timer, but that seems unreasonable.

  • ASP.NET MVC: Posting JSON to Controller

    - by JamesBrownIsDead
I've got this in my controller: [HttpPost] public void UpdateLanguagePreference(string languageTag) { if (string.IsNullOrEmpty(languageTag)) { throw new ArgumentNullException("languageTag"); } ... } And have this jQuery code POSTing to the controller: jQuery.ajax({ type: 'POST', url: '/Config/UpdateLanguagePreference', contentType: 'application/json; charset=utf-8', data: '{ "languageTag": "' + selectedLanguage + '" }' }); When I try to the code, however, I get the error: Server Error in '/' Application. Value cannot be null. Parameter name: languageTag What's the problem? Isn't this how to POST JSON to an MVC Controller? I can examine the POST using Fiddler and see that the request is correct. For some reason, UpdateLanguagePreference() is getting a null or empty string.

  • C# Assembly Xna.Framework.dll does not load

    - by jbsnorro
When trying to load Microsoft.Xna.Framework.dll from any project, it throws a FileNotFoundException. The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E), with no innerException. Even the simple code like the following throws that exception: static void Main(string[] args) { Assembly.LoadFile(@"C:\Microsoft.Xna.Framework.dll"); } I run XP x64, but I've set the platform in the configuration manager to x86, because I know it shouldn't(doesn't) work on x64 or Any CPU. I've manually added the dll file to GAC, but that didn't solve the problem. I have also tried the M$ Assembly Binding Log Viewer to see if those logs had any useful information, but they didn't. Everything, the loading etc, was a success according to them. Any suggestions? please?

  • UIWebView loads a local file for a long time

Is there any way to optimize the loading time?

  • Do I need to include the 'this' when using a property name in a closure?

    - by Scott Whitlock
I'm using a list of Actions to store an undo history for an object. Let's say I have a property of my object called myChildObject and it's being changed, so I want to store the undo action where I would set it back to it's current value: public class Class1 { public Class1() { } private readonly List<Action> m_undoActions = new List<Action>(); private SomeObject myChildObject { get; set; } public void ChangeState(SomeObject newChildObject) { // copies the reference SomeObject existingObject = myChildObject; m_undoActions.Add(() => myChildObject = existingObject); myChildObject = newChildObject; } } Looking at the lambda expression, existingObject is a local variable, so it's using a closure to pass a reference to that variable, but what about the property myChildObject? Do I need to use 'this' to preface it? Do I need to make a copy of the 'this' reference to a local variable first? Thanks for helping me understand this closure stuff.

  • GWT removeHandler on first event notification

    - by Keith
I want to remove a GWT event handler the first time I receive an event. I also want to avoid polluting my class with tracking registration objects that aren't really necessary. I currently have it coded as: final HandlerRegistration[] registrationRef = new HandlerRegistration[1]; registrationRef[0] = dialog.addFooHandler(new FooHandler() { public void onFoo(FooEvent event) { HandlerRegistration removeMe = registrationRef[0]; if(removeMe != null) { removeMe.removeHandler(); } // do stuff here } }); but the use of registrationRef makes the code less readable. Is there a better way to do this without adding variables to my class?
